Reposting monster stats with the GSL?

So, here I am writing my own adventure. I want to try and submit this adventure to a company, be it WotC or someone else.

However, at one point, I want to use a monster that has been published in one of WotC's books - Open Grave.

Are we allowed to reproduce monster stats from books, in order to write adventures, or is that a no-no?

From what I understand, it is specifically forbidden.

I believe that if the creature is refrenced in the GSL, you are allowed to state which WotC 4E book it is in and the page numbers, but that's it.

I believe there are exceptions, those being, that you can't re-stat a specific creature listed, like, say a Chillborn Zombie (pg 65 of the SRD), but if you created a "Witherstench" Zombie, you can stat it. And you still have to refer to specific creature abilities taken from the MM/PHB (like Chillborn Aura, or the fighter's Cowering Attack ability if you were creating a fighter NPC) by page number though. You can't write those out fully.

At least, this is how I understand it.
