Reign of the Radar Men - Hollow Earth Expedition - Thrus. 1-5
A mysterious message from space has been intercepted by Dr. Emil Weinstein of Georgetown University. “We are the Radar Men of Mars. We look forward to finally meeting with you to conduct mutual trade. All hail the Empire!” Dr. Weinstein was not the intended recipient of the message. What could the message mean; could the world be in danger? If these Radar Men are indeed dangerous, who will step forward to stop them?
Reign of the Radar Men is set in Exile Game’s Hollow Earth Expedition world of 1930’s Pulp action. Inspired by the literary works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jules Verne, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the setting blends lost worlds and dinosaurs with the two-fisted action of ‘30s Pulp novels and movie serials. If you’ve got the moxie, then sign up!
This game is for every level of experience, though first-timers are highly encouraged to give it a go. Pre-generated characters and dice will be available.
"I am he who rules the world, don't you know? One little piece at a time. I am the stuff of Riordan Parnell's most outrageous songs, and I am a confused memory for those whose lives I've entered and departed." -- Jarlaxle, Road of the Patriarch
"I may be unconscious, but at least I still look good!" - - Me (at the Halfling Musketeers game GenCon '06)
On one hand, taking away their weapons is a dead giveaway that they will need them. On the other hand, by the time conflict starts the players will already have opened the rulebooks and found the parts that deal with bare-handed combat, performing disarm moves, and using improvised weapons. Players may blunder through dialog with shocking ineptitude, forget the name of the country they are in, or get confused about which side they are on, but once it comes time to roll for initiative they all turn into Sun Tzu. - Shamus Young DM of the Rings
On the one hand, I've never played HEX before, don't have any Pulp on my GenCon schedule yet, and love the minis I've seen in the pics for this game!
On the other hand, I was planning on trawling the dealers room at this time, my schedule is filling, and I'm signed up for a game from 9am to 1pm which would be tight, leaving no time for lunch and traveling between games.
Then again, Nerfwright is in my morning game, so he'll have the same time crunch, and Seonaid isn't sure about the slot but says she can just dump you. So I guess go with their logic and sign up for this game as well.
Besides, I just checked my schedule and saw I have no games with Seonaid!
Oh, and Fraisala just said she wants in too.. could you put her down as well?
EDIT: I'm, like, an idiot since Seonaid's in the Sunday Night D&D game with me... well, I'll still sign up for this cause 1) 2x Seonaid isn't a bad thing and 2) the minis!!!

It's tight for me on Thursday, but there is plenty of time over the rest of the con to squeeze in some dealer exhibit time. I spent way too much last year anyhow. Getting bored while traversing the dealer hall was a BAD thing. (Although I did score some nice loot.)

ROFLOL . . . You and Fraisala seem to have the same problem with reading comprehension.
Not quite. He was merely looking at his schedule which he had at the time yet to update to reflect your presence in a game. I was looking at the wrong schedule entirely.
Btw, Bob, would it help if I promised you I wouldn't be playing a dwarf?

Yeah, I try to be creative with minis/scenery for games whenever possible. I've gotten a decent amount of positive feedback from this game so I suspect (read: hope) you'll enjoy it.

Hmm...Umm...YES!
F.Y.I.: Seonaid, I updated the list and put you as an alternate, where I had previously had you listed as a confirmed player (though, I suspect, your still a confirmed player! ). Cool?
Bretbo, my husband (um, I guess we could call him Mr Wright) would be interested in playing in your game.
We were reluctant to bump Seonaid if she was about to opt in, however.
For a second there, I thought you were saying Bretbo = Mr Wright! (Awesome nickname there, BTW. )
As for bumping me, I'm down as an alt even though there's space for a reason (how's that for twisted wording). Too much to do, too little time. I have 11 ENW/CM games scheduled already! Feel free to have Mr Wright play!
But do keep me alted, in case someone drops. Thanks!
