GenCon 2009 Game Scheduling ForumGoing to GenCon? Here's the place to look for EN World pickup games, meet-ups, logistics, and the like. Please see the 'instructions' thread inside for how to format your game announcement.
We're not going straight to Indy this year, and I'm trying to avoid lugging all of the ENnies swag through Detroit. If someone's willing to be my swaggin' wagon, I can promise that person a choice pick.
I am driving from the DC area. Technically I am driving from Columbia, MD, but I work in that area, drive around there often, and I have room in the vehicle.

Xath,
Also driving out and you know where I live - if the others fall through, give me a yell. Also leaving early (Monday prior) if that makes a difference.

On one hand, taking away their weapons is a dead giveaway that they will need them. On the other hand, by the time conflict starts the players will already have opened the rulebooks and found the parts that deal with bare-handed combat, performing disarm moves, and using improvised weapons. Players may blunder through dialog with shocking ineptitude, forget the name of the country they are in, or get confused about which side they are on, but once it comes time to roll for initiative they all turn into Sun Tzu. - Shamus Young DM of the Rings

I'm loathe to post a new thread, but i'll stick my situation in all the related driving threads:
Coming from Curtis, MI, to Indy on 12 August, Tuesday. Anybody along that route - Grayling, Gaylord, East Lansing, etc - who needs a ride ONE WAY only, PM me and we can discuss.

Oh, you're in Silver Spring; I'm in Wheaton, in Wheaton Hills to be precise. Although I am flying in, my husband is driving. He'll be arriving Tuesday. However, he's got a work trip first. He's leaving THIS FRIDAY AT NOON, so if you want to bring stuff by my house tonight, tomorrow night, or Friday morning, we can load it up.
If you need a reference, just ask Denise, she'll vouch for me.
