Uh, hi?

So I was wondering if this would be the place to request a conversion of the Deodanth to 3.5 D&D rules?

Sure! What original source is that from? I'm not finding it in Echohawk's index.

Arduin I believe. I didn't see any other Arduin conversions so if it's not possible that's cool. I just thought you guys might be able to work something up. I got the idea from a former DM I used to play with who had already converted it, but I'm out of contact with him. I believe their abilities varied depending on gender, and they're favorite food is Elf. They're ebony skinned and really fast.

....I don't know if any of that helps?

Thanks

We don't normally convert Arduin creatures, but if you have the original stats and post 'em I'll be happy to convert them for you.

I found the original rule book here:

The Compleat Arduin - Book 1 - The Rules

Sorry, I don't know how to pull the direct pdf from the website. The stats for the different races are on page 31 and 32 of the "PDF", but page 23 of the "Rule Book". I did a little comparison from Human to Deodanth, assumng that Humans may have the most average scores (mostly because of the lack of racial modifiers that D&D 3.5 provides humans) and came up with this: St +6, Con +2, Dx +4, Int +2, Wis -5, and Cha +1. Which doesn't sound correct at all to me. But you guys are the masters of conversion, not me lol. Plus that was just stats, not to mention the "Time slip" ability that they're apparently supposed to have. It would help if I had actually played Arduin before.

Anywho, sorry to bother you.

Hey, now that Dark Sun has been announced as the next 4e campaign setting to be released, can I request that the last six Dark Sun creatures be converted, so that we have a complete Dark Sun set for 3e?

Speaking of Dark Sun, Athas.org never did make any templates for the Spirits of the Land. They made a few actual spirits in Faces of the Forgotten North, but no templates or easy ways to generate them. Think you guys can come up with something?

At first glance, they don't seem much different than the spirit of the land in MM2. Do they differ enough to warrant conversion?

Not a conversion per se, but a template or way to create them from a base terrain or something similar. Each one is supposed to be unique.

It's pretty hard to use the Epic Wildshape: Spirit of the Land if you can't make one. Yes, I'm wanting to use an epic druid NPC in my next campaign.

Hi gang,

I was looking through the Creature Catalog Crypt page and noticed that the html and PDF pages for the Ixitxachitl and its vampiric subtypes are no longer there. Is it still possible to get that conversion (or the links fixed)?

Thanks for any info!

Last edited by jaerdaph; 4th October 2009 at 03:08 AM.. Reason: Can somehow spell "ixitxachitl" but not "conversion"...

Yeah, that's weird. I'm guessing a broken link from one of the forum upgrades sometime. Hopefully the page isn't lost!

I found a little treat on my hard drive last night - the original Tome of Horrors PDF netbook that was released before Necromancer Games published the 3e version (which is missing some of the monsters from the netbook) and the ixitxachitl and vampiric variants are in there. The stats are for 3e, not 3.5e, but that's okay because that's what I was looking for anyway. There are official WotC 3.5e stats for the ixitxachitl out there anyway.

Anyhow, thanks anyway. FYI: there are still a bunch of broken links on the Creature Catalog site, especially in the Creature Crypt, if anyone is interested.
