10 horrific creatures uploaded to the CC

In honor of Halloween, October is horror month around the Creature Catalogue.

This week's batch includes ten undead templates, including the skeletal dry bones and gem eyes, the furious ch'ing shih, the regal king-wight and wraith-king, and the five-part, stackable greater vampire templates!

but it was already too late now.

High-Level Horrors
Horror month continues with ten high- or epic-level horrors, including demon lords (Ilsidahur and Sch'theraqpasstt), Dukes of Hell (Amduscias and Malphas), and the unique Grey Dragon, Rahab. Also included are the legendary Fenris Wolf, the Dragon Claw Lung Jua, the unique undead Ambuchar Devayam/Tan Chin, and from Ravenloft, the many-tentacled abomination known as Narek, the Thing From the Shaft. Rounding out the batch is Iuz's draconic abomination, the Murdakus.

OK, it's been a week since 10 creatures were added to the catalog. Shouldn't there be a new batch up now?

Yep. I was busier than usual yesterday, so didn't want to start and not finish. I'll get to 'em today.

The terror continues...

Seven additional undead continue their unlife in the Creature Catalogue, including the furious angreden, the ravenous scarlet dancer mist, the thieving scavenger spirit, the dehydrating scorched one, the nightmare-inducing ether shadow, and the level-sapping wailing wight. And to complete your character's pirate costume, an undead parrot.

Three undead-related oozes also drip and flow onto the scene, including the skeleton-riding goop ghoul, the spell-sucking lich's blood, and the zombifying necromantic sludge.

Thanks! I was also looking forward to seeing the scorched one and scavenger spirit too!

We've converted several spiderlike creatures that still need posting. That might fit into October....

Yeah, I could see an "arachnophobia" themed entry.

Arachnophobia, Entomophobia, and Hematophobia
Horror month continues, this time addressing the fear of spiders, insects, and blood.

Fear spiders? Then the monstrous daddy longlegs and giant boleadore spiders should send a tingle up your spine. What's scarier than a spider? One that can encase its victims in silver, like the silver spider. Worse yet? An undead spider, like the phantom spider and the Creature Catalogue's take on the wraith-spider.

Bugs and blood freak you out? Then the four giant mosquitos outta make your hair stand on end.

And last but not least, the eerie shadowcrawler is a box full of phobias: spiders, blood, cats, and the dark, all in one!

Since this is the last week of "horror month", and I'd like to do an update on Halloween, here's a bonus batch of 10.

5 more days 'til Halloween
Five more horrific undead have come to terrify the living, including the ghoulish baka, the crushing necromantic battering ram, the beguiling sundel bolong, the chilling grave mist, and the beautiful (yes, beautiful) bloodstone zombies.

Four frightful templates also arrive, including the arachnoid web-spectre, the ever-hungry voracious creatures, the fiery burnbones, and the epic dark lord.

Rounding out this batch is a long-overdue requested 3.5 update of the Faerūnian Yellow Dragon.

It must be the bole-undead.

I've been busier at work today than usual...I'm still hoping to get in an update today.

I understand, though. I've been busier than usual at work for the last month, and it's likely to continue at least another month.

Happy Halloween!

Horror month concludes with ten more creepy creatures, including the life-stealing death ox and deathglow moth, the doom-spreading mountain hag, and the maw-with-tentacles known as the surchur.

And of course, we've got undead, including the "hides in impossibly small places" bloody bones, the chilling ice vampire, the saber-toothed goblin vampire, the bane-to-low-level-characters lesser vampire, and the dreaded semilich.

Finally, nothing says "spooky" like a creepy doll that springs to life and tries to claw out your eyes, like the porcelain doll.

May your tricks be successful and your treats be plenty!
