Death and Dying delayed

October Editorial Calendar has changed to have DRA: Death & Dying appear this Friday rather than today. So you don't need to look for it just yet.

Seems odd to have a calendar then start to make changes right away to it. So does the calendar have any more value that the table of contents for the issues if dates of article releases are always changing or could this be some freak occurrence?

Yeah, so don't worry about looking for that article today.

ROFL! Good one! But death is only postponed until Friday so have everything in order by then.

My understanding is that by eating right and getting proper exercise, one can postpone it for months, even years.

"This editorial calendar is a living document. Content may be added, article titles may change, and articles may shift dates for scheduling reasons. The calendar will be updated accordingly to reflect any changes."

I definitely hope it doesn't become a regular habit that every single article is shifted and delayed... but I'm reasonably sure that won't be the case. The calendar is certainly not a straightjacket that they must adher to by any principle - it is the expected date for publishing their articles. Sometimes, those dates will change, as it says right there. I imagine there will usually be a good reason when this is the case, and I'd rather have articles done right, rather than thrown out the door to meet a deadline a handful of fans insist is rigidly enforced.

I think some may prefer the editors and authors to be in straightjackets, or at least shackled to their cubicle until they get the articles out on time as initially indicated by the calendar.

The reason for this one was/seems because they wanted the barbarian article out on time. Seeming to mean they could not do both articles.
