Those cave dungeon tiles look nice. I'm hoping we get more generic sets like these, and maybe a "dungeon dressing" pack at some point to add cool stuff like altars or trap doors.
I'm a little unsure about the continued support of the Swordmage class. Do they really intend never to reprint it anywhere other than the Forgotten Realms Players Guide? I think a lot fewer people are going to have access to that than will have access to the PHB I and II.
You're right in part about the swordmage getting less support - but don't forget they did show a preview of the class back in August (much like the PHB2 classes now) and also have the class available in the Compendium, even for those that don't own the FRPG.
So yes, it's likely that, overall, more people will play with sorcerers or wardens than with swordmages, but don't count it out just because it's not being printed in PHB2. The artificer isn't either and I know tons of people are already using that class already, even though only half of it's been released so far.
Which brings up an interesting point. Do you suppose they'll cover the artificer the way they're covering the swordmage in Arcane Power? My instinct would be to say yes but then again, the Eberron books don't come out until after Arcane Power so that would mean that the so-called "expansion" material for the class would be released before the actual class... which seems more than a bit odd.

Wow, that's a great point. It'd suck for the swordmage to get the love but the artificer not to - especially when I see the artificer as potentially more expandable as the swordmage...
I'm okay with them putting it in AP... I'm also okay with them not putting it in AP but agreeing to have a megapack Dragon that includes basically Artificer content to make up for it. I'd rather a single article with lots of goodies than having to search through 5 different ones for tidbits, though.

Well in D&D XP this year they stated that every class will get equal coverage. So the Artificer and Swordmage, and all future Campaign Setting and PHB classes will get coverage as well. So I imagine Arcane Power 2 will have the Artificer and future classes will fit into their own Power books, and whatever other books there would be class options for.
