It means no sign-up table, but we can go with 7 tables in the morning, and 8 in the pm if you want.

I guess it seems silly to reserve a table just for a couple clipboards and name tags, but where would I put them otherwise?

I think we used that little table by the soda machines for the donuts and nametags last time, didn't we?

Well, if seven tables is all good, and Nev still wants to run his game in the morning, feel free to keep my morning minis game in reserve, in case one of the morning games needs to be withdrawn prior to us reaching the finish line. However, if Nev has had a change of heart and really prefers to play, please do add my minis game to the morning slot and I'll be ready to run it. Thanks either way, Buzz and thalmin!

RETURN TO THE SLAVE PITS OF THE UNDERCITY: INTO THE SEWERS

It is time to put a stop to the marauders! For years the coastal towns have been burned and looted by the forces of evil. You and your fellow adventurers have been recruited to root out and destroy the source of these raids. But beware, hundreds of good men and women have been taken by the slavers and have never been seen or heard from again!

A strike team was sent into Highport, posing as evil slavetraders, and were able to secure entrance to the old temple the slavers used as a slave market. The strike team discovered a hidden entrance to the sewers in the main temple chamber. Your team is tasked with entering the sewers to find the slavers main base in Highport, free any slaves, and find more information about the forces behind these evil slavers. But you must strike fast before the slavers discover your intrusion and flee, taking with them any hope of discovering who the true slavelords are.

This is a Bring Your Own Character event. Bring a 4th-level character. Generate ability scores using standard array or point buy. Any Wizards of the Coast material is allowed. Choose whatever standard adventuring gear you want from the tables in the Players Handbook. Choose three magic items of your choice (1 level 5, 1 level 4, and 1 level 3). In addition, you have 680 gp that you can spend on rituals, potions, alchemical items, or magic items.

Ah, okay. I wasn't sure if that table counted or not.

Don't sweat it. I'd actually rather play than run, I usually run something because there aren't two games I actually want to play in. This year it looks like I won't have to hold up the indie banner on my own, so I'm good.

That table is gone, but we can find something, maybe a card table.

Will do, might be able to stop by tomorrow. If not, I'll probably be around later on Saturday to check and see how the LFR table is going.

Thanks, thalmin! I'll go ahead and add Mark's minis game in the morning. I just want to make sure there's a spot for people to sign in, grab name tags, or just stand near in silent indication of "I'm new; what the heck to do I do now?"

This leaves us with just one, maybe two, spots in the afternoon. As we wait for those to possibly fill, please feel free to post your event descriptions. We've got ample time, but sooner is always better.

As my old chem teacher in high school used to say: "Good initiative, bad timing."

Jon, this is just a planning thread for Gameday XXII. Player sign-up will begin in a few weeks. Notification will sent out (and posted here) at that time. Feel free to email me if you want to get on our mailing list.

OK, here is my event info...

A Maid in the Moss
Ruleset: Storming the Wizard's Tower (playtest manuscript) by Vincent Baker

The peace of mid-day is broken when a group of Gatherers comes running back to town in a panic. A young lass, only a novice Gatherer, has ventured past the bountiful outer edge of the Mosslands and is now lost within its treacherous interior. It is up to the local heroes of Abbeytown to enter the mossy depths and rescue her from whatever horrors live there.

For more info on Storming the Wizard's Tower, visit www.lumpley.com/storming. For more info about Abbeytown, check out www.dicegoblins.com/gameday.htm

No XP necessary but you might want to download the rules and read them to conserve play time. Dice will be provided. Just bring a desire to enjoy some indie style, old skool fantasy fun.

4 Players
