| The last few years of WOTC's April Fool's jokes have had a definite undercurrent of ill-will to them in my opinion. They are not humorous, but more what-I-would-like-to-say-in-reality-but-today's-April-Fool's-so-I-can-get-away-with-saying-it-and-call-it-a-joke.

| Those of you who were quick to put down WotC were the victims of the real joke here. There was never anything on that page, which is not even a page but a politely phrased 404 error. Look: Press Releases Press Releases Press Releases |

| Well, the thread title did make me really angry... so I guess it was an effective April Fools- which is hard to do since everyone is on the look out for them today.
First one that succeeded!

Except that, unlike your own edited links, the link in the original post referenced an actual document number that matches the nomenclature (year/month/day) used by WotC for all of the other press releases on their site. Press Releases Press Releases Press Releases
There may have actually been something present at the link in the original post earlier today, given the date. There may not have been. All you did was prove that you could create some fake links. Certainly the OP could have done the same — but you don't come anywhere near proving that this is what transpired.

| Sorry for the April Fool's joke, but I felt like getting someone since I was pranked by my own mother this morning. She told me she and my step dad was getting a divorce and waited until I tried to comfort her to slam me. It was effin' cold. By the way, for the people who wanted to see the press release, there was none. I changed the implied date on the web address from a previous press release to hide the joke. It's sad that people think so little of WotC to jump to the conclusion that it was either for real or that the joke originated with them.
Sorry guys. Sorry WotC. Sorry Paizo. |

Had the press release been real and had Paizo coordinated their own d20 prank with WotC, that would have been a halfway decent joke. All you did was tell a lie. There wasn't much (if any) humor to it. But you did totally take me in. Kudos to you for making me look like a jackass. You've forever endeared yourself to my Ignore List. |

Sometimes the best jokes are the ones with grains of truth! (though in full disclosure, my initial reaction is "Dangnabbit Paizo, what'd you do now" I guess I'm also an april fool in other ways) |

| This was a good one. They had me fooled (and angry) but I can admit that I got tricked despite keeping my eye out for April Fools jokes. Very clever.
