What to do with old Delve Nights characters

What do other DMs and players intend to do with old Delve Nights characters?

My plan is to ask the players' permissions to use them as NPCs in an ongoing campaign located in the new Forgotten Realms campaign setting.

This has the benefit of giving the players an ownership stake and built in familiarity with a new campaign. 16th (17th after the four week campaign) is too high a level to allow a character into a new game. Especially in a new system where most players are still becoming familiar with the Hero tier.

It would be better for me, as it takes away some of the burden of providing 100% of the creativity, and allow me to focus on deeper plots in pre-existing and familiar setting that hasn't been covered to death with fantasy novels.

The final step is to locate Deepwater somewhere in Faerun. Obviously it has to be near water, and have a connection to the Upperdark.

Any suggestions or comments?

I will also try to provide a weekly summary of the story.

I believe that near the Ruins of Cimbar might be a good location...

Well, tonight's game was a complete flop.

None of the five people who promised to show up did.

I offered to try again, but I told the store owner that I want a commitment from the five players who promised to be there.
