I would just like to give a shout out and recommendation for One Bad Egg's 'Shroudborn multiclass' PDF. I have found a little lack of flair with powers when it comes to the WotC classes, but the SBorn powers are just so great. Really varied and interesting. For example the 'Arena' keyword teleports you and the targets to a different pace to fight it out there. I know there are WotC powers similar but this is just an example of the lateral thinking when it comes to powers in this product.
Some of the powers maybe a little overpowered, I am not so good at judging this, but the flavour is worth it. Heck we are thinking of giving all the PCs free SBorn MC to get most use out of it... doesn't matter then if the balance isn't 100%!
I would also recommend Hardboiled Armies (for a really simple and clever way to do battles in 4E). The Building Cultures is good as well, not so innovative (for me, I racial features with cultural and racial features in 3E) but it still has some nice ideas on how to effectively warp your cultures and translate that into mechanical effects.
So if you think 4E powers are a bit too 'cookie cutter' buy the ShroudBorn and get inspired! I am off to buy all the other OBE products I don't have, the most inspiring 3PP products I have had the pleaure to read (and I got to read them on my new eSlick ereader)
One Bad Egg is indeed one of the most interesting 3pps out there.
Their experience with other interesting games (Spirit of the Century, Don't Rest your Head, etc) makes them think outside the normal D&D 4e box, which is good (for variety).

Isn't that pretty much identical to the Orbs of Sequestered Conflict, from AV2 and previewed in Dragon 370?

The Arena thing definitely preceded the Orbs of Sequestered Conflict -- and that's not the only case of parallel evolution with WOTC. We thought that was a pretty exciting indication that we were thinking along good lines.
I have almost all their stuff. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for them to announce something new.
Come on, it's been over a month!
