As far as rules, I have a feeling that Revenants may be treated as Undead for effects (similar to how Eladrin and Gnomes have Fey Heritage).

The Cleric and Invoker better watch out with their Turn/Rebuke Undead, then!

It appears Revenants are more "Crow" like than shambling undead. Definately looking forward to Monday
