WOW has undead as a majour race, so it is not surprising that D&D would follow suit.

As far as rules, I have a feeling that Revenants may be treated as Undead for effects (similar to how Eladrin and Gnomes have Fey Heritage).

You know, when I hear the name Revenant, The Crow is exactly what I think of, and he doesn't look very rotting....

It appears Revenants are more "Crow" like than shambling undead. Definately looking forward to Monday
