I'm looking for a fun and cheap/free dungeon crawly type adventure. Preferably a less-known adventure; system doesn't matter 'cause I'll be translating it into another game anyway.
Many thanks.

Death is not the end, but yet another journey--one that we all must take. The gray rain curtain of this world parts, everything fades to silver glass and then you see it--the white shore and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

You've left a pretty big avenue for what you are looking for. Do you have any preferences or dislikes that narrow it down? I'd just go to RPGNow or your favorite fansite and see what free stuff you could dig up.
Just off the top of my head, the grognards version of Castle Greyhawk. Or the 4E adventures from somebody who posted just a few days ago, (I think he's in Sweden, but apologize if my memory is wrong), or the collection of free stuff at Wotc's website.

I'll check out RPGNow and WotC. I guess I should have mentioned that this is the first time I've looked for published adventures rather than making my own. I don't really have any dislikes except...nothing too wacky, like flying space monkeys in my fantasy adventure.

I'd appreciate suggestions for both. D&D-wise I'll be starting at 1st level (pre-4e) and topping out likely at about 10th.

Check out Dragonsfoot. They have quite a few completely free adventures for download. Most of them are pretty standard (not too wacky) scenarios. I don't know what system you are running but most of the adventures are 1E AD&D, and a few BD&D/OD&D.

Yeah, off the top of my head -- Keep on the Shadowfell was released as a free pdf (with updates) so there is that -- even if you don't use the intro parts (less crawl, more talk) you can use the rest in the keep itself (all dungeon crawl)and alter the story as you want.
Also, three Dungeon Magazines from last summer were free (from when DDI and 4e first came out). Some of them are dungeon crawls. So go to the Dungeon Magazine Issue archive and look for issues number 155, 156, and 157.
I know I've seen others around... i don't have them bookmarked though since i tend to make up my own ..

Of course, the OP could have taken part in Free RPG Day you may have picked up some of the freebies available or like me, purchased a used module so that I at least did something not to be a complete free loader, (though this year for Free RPG Day I only got 3 things total and only went to two places, less than in the previous years).
Thanks all, now I've got more adventures than I could ever use to kill foolish adventurers!
