Being the Dragonlance fan that I am, I wanted to address this point.
Fizban was, indeed, an aspect of the god Paladine. However, Fizban's purpose was to nudge the heroes in the right direction. By no means did he take away their freedom of choice. During Chronicles, we saw Raistlin turn to evil and Tanis make a mistake by going off with Kitiara.
I see your point, but I think maybe another label would be more appropriate.
