*Nods* I also agree, one sticking point I would like to see with such is that the mindblade can be a Psionic Implement. It would allow for instance the Monk to use his shurikens for his Powers.

yes yes...and some utlity suggestion powers...and some TK attack powers...and some pre cog class features...it would be awsome...

That's a great idea! I think it might be best to split the powers into, say, a "Light" precog build and a "Dark" TK one...

I dunno ... that distinction seems kind of forced.

So, I anticipate this schtick is going to get eaten by another class. Probably firmly implanted in the Psychic Warrior, as one of the starter builds.
Hai! I second this assumption. In my mind the new version of Psychic Warrior will basically be the fantasy Jedi. I just hope its a better defender than the Swordmage...

Well, in fact that goes to counter a statement earlier in the thread too. I don't see many of the new classes being better than some of the core classes. In this instance I am still awaiting a defender that equals (not better than, just equal to) the Fighter. I tend to be stuck as the tank for the group and I've yet to find a defender that does its job better than the fighter. IMHO, the other defenders are only excel if they are the Secondary defenders in the group, not the sole defender for a party.

I disagree. Having seen the Warden in play (from the DM perspective), he is an amazing Defender. In fact I worried that he was better than the Fighter, because he can be terrifyingly sticky and force his enemies towards him, too.
The same is true for a Shielding Swordmage (I haven't seen any other ones, but I have been defended by a SHielding Swordmage). Negating enemy damge is a mean thing to do. The Shielding Swordmage "shtick" seems to be to negate enemies attack, not neccessarily make himself the target.

My observation of the Warden, and this is mostly off paper or second hand, is that he's all defense, no offense. He does paltry damage compared to the fighter. He may be sticky, but he doesn't do much to the enemies who are stuck to him.

I think it would let down a number of people, but there is one Paragon Path that might work as a baseline. The Eberron book has the Self-Forged paragon path which grants the individual a mechanical fist that can be used as a weapon. A similar psionic one that requires simply 'psionic power source' would mean that both your Psychic warriors and your Monks could take it. You wouldn't be starting out with it at first level however.
