My online gaming group, Torch of Spirit (Contains all information for the current game I'm co-DMing as well as lots of houserules I'm using or considering for the future. Feel free to check it out.)
Not this year; too busy at work, and I'm trying to buy a house ().
Bummer!
Good luck on the house, though.

NEVER hold to the letter written, nor allow some barracks room lawyer to force quotations from the rule book upon you, IF it goes against the obvious intent of the game. As you hew the line with respect to conformity to major systems and uniformity of play in general, also be certain the game is mastered by you and not by your players. Within the broad parameters give in the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Volumes, YOU are creator and final arbiter. By ordering things as they should be, the game as a WHOLE first, your CAMPAIGN next, and your participants thereafter, you will be playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons as it was meant to be. May you find as much pleasure in so doing as the rest of us do.

Well, I volunteered to volunteer at the Enworld booth for the simple price of a plane ticket from Japan, but they did not take me up on it, so I am not coming.
I am going this year. It will be my first time since my daughter was born.
I am also running an All Flesh Must Be Eaten event - Labyrinth of Night. Zombies on Mars, what's not to love? That will be the first game I have run at Gencon since the mid 1990's.

I better be, I volunteered at the EnWorld booth. Yeah, since it's a very short trip for me and someone else paid for my badge, I'll be there. Maybe finally go on a Sunday this year too.
This will be my first year at Gencon after going to Origins for 5 straight years (had to skip Origins to go to Gencon this year).
I have a 4 day badge and I'm really excited about it. Anybody recommend something in particular I should see? Saturday is mostly out, however, since I'm taking part in the 8 hour NSDM game.
this is the second one I will miss since me and the guys started going (2000) togather...
why? well I lost my job last year, like 6 weeks before gen con, but I went and just watched the costs...since then I have had temp jobs, and a cenus stint...but nothing real, and some way too close to min wage...so not this year...

I'm saddened by the fact that I spent most of last year living in Nagoya and that we never met. I spent most of the time not thinking about gaming (and not being on ENWorld), because I figured that I wouldn't be able to find a game over there.

I've never been, would like to go, but am not likely to go ever since I am now married.
Why in the world would that prevent you from going? I've been the last 4 years in a row and I've been married for all of that.
Unfortunately money is tight this year and so I'm giving it a miss. I hope to be back strong in '10! At least we did do a family road trip up the coast and got to visit some of the people we'd have seen there anyway.
I am not a big fan (I've been to DunDraCon, KublaCon, one Origins, and a few others) of these huge conventions -- they feel overly crowded and just kinda bizarre. They remind of sporting events -- where I never feel at ease either.
