View Poll Results: Which 4E class do you want to vote off the list?
4E has rituals, use them, they're magic; Want to see the greatest thing you will ever see? then click; You can use “Earth” as a D&D setting; Origins of The Rouse; (look for it) The Rouse responds; (look for it) One can appreciate both old and new D&D.
Voting for the avenger this time around, although it was a toss-up between them and rangers - I'll certainly aim at the ranger next. (Bo-ring!) Not understanding the hate for swordmages, they seem to me like an excellent fighter/wizard hybrid - an archetype with a long and storied tradition in D&D, going back to the Elf class in the old red book.
Top three? Well, fighter is a foregone conclusion - it consistently gets the fewest votes to eliminate, and it's head and shoulders above the competition on my "4E classes you like" thread. Whatever else you may say about 4th Edition, it got fighters right. Rogue also seems like a fairly safe bet, though its performance has not been quite as consistent. The third one is trickier... I think it will be between the wizard and the sorceror. Tough call, but in the end I guess I'll trust the resilience of a class that's been around since the beginning.
So: I predict fighter for the blue ribbon, then rogue, then wizard. Old-school for the win!

I reckon fighter, rogue and wizard will be the last three.
They're not MY last three, but they'll do, I guess. The fighter can stay, the other two I can leave.
For now,...goodbye swordmage!

Gah! I meant to hit Ranger (again, DIE ALREADY YOU BORING PoS!) but hit the druid instead. I don't love the druid but I want the pablum-filled training wheels class GONE!
People who are voting against the Swordmage are simply jealous because they have the best at-will in the game with Lightning Lure and they can't understand the tactical awesomeness of it.
Oh, and Jack, if you want to lay down some puritan smack, google "Bible Belt". Sheesh, geographically/demographically challenged Dutch, I tell ya.
The avenger has janky powers that encourage you running around and letting people swing at you.
The fighter mark is a little inelegant in that you have OAs and interrupt attacks, and what modifies one doesn't modify the other.
The ranger's bland, and "I fight with two weapons" is not a valid basis for a class.
The rogue is needlessly restricted with the whole 'light blade, sling, crossbow' thing.
The swordmage, though I love it, has a weird mark that never goes away. And when other defenders are fighting for their lives, the swordmage is being an ***hole, playing tag with the guy he marked.
I'm betting the top 3 are fighter, rogue, and sorcerer. I'm rooting for sorcerer.

I voted Swordmage, obviously, because I hate elemental grab bags. You can make a list of the elemental grab bags I hate- Swordmages, Wizards, and D&D style dragons ("green" is not a monster design concept!). Its a lineup of sacred cows! Kill them all!
Once we get rid of the swordmage, I'll be voting for classes I actually like. I'll just be voting least favorite one by one.

I guess I don't understand the "grab bag" take. It has versatility to build towards elemental mastery or specialty. Look at the prime race for them that were introduced by them: Elementals (Genasi). They different elemental manifestations that one can tailor powers to. The Stormsoul tailoring to lightning, thunder and force powers is extremely thematic and a very different feel from a Firesoul built around those powers.
This is kind of exciting though ... as I type this, the avenger, druid, ranger, and swordmage are all at roughly the same percentage. This will go to the wire ...
Fighter, rogue, and wizard are my picks to be the final 3.
There aren't any classes left that I really dislike, but I voted off the druid because while I like their wild shaping I feel their beast form is out of sync with their controller aspect and I think I would have preferred a shape shifting druid that was more of a straight striker or striker/defender.
My gut reaction for the 3 survivors was fighter, ranger, sorcerer, though that was before I saw the ranger had as many votes as he does, but I'll stick with it anyway, I think he's got a lot of fans too.
