| A trial EN World news/reviews/articles iPhone app [now also ANDROID!]
We're testing an iPhone app which displays the latest news, reviews, and articles. It's an HTML5 web app which you can add to your iPhone home screen, and is very much in beta. It's free, and this trial will only be there for one month, after which it will disappear.
If the trial is successful, we'll consider making it a full native app for both iPhone and Android. For now, it's just an iPhone web app.
Direct your iPhone web browser to: enworld.isites.us
(note this URL won't work on your desktop browser)
You will be prompted to add it to your iPhone home screen.
After the month we'll look at the stats to decide whether the running costs will be able to be supported via app ads (as we intend it to remain free).
There may be various formatting issues as I figure out how best to format EN World news articles to display well in both formats. Some news items may appear a little messy at the moment; that'll get cleaned up.
Let me know what you think. I'll be keeping track of how many times it's downloaded and how often it's accessed, and decide on its future in a month's time. UPDATE!
There is now an ANDROID version at the Android Market.

| I like it! One thing to be wary of are links outside of the app. The connect with facebook link removes all of your nice navigation so I have to quit and re-launch. Outside of that, the formatting looks pretty decent and the menus make a lot of sense. Good work trimming that down to a manageable list. | |

| If I had an iPhone, I'd definitely try it.
Posting here to raise interest so that others WILL try it.
As soon as an Android version exists, I will pick it up.

| I figured it might be useful to add some RSS feeds as new sections. I've added WotC and Paizo's official blog. I'll also add both of those to the Twitter feed page.
Any other substantial RSS feeds worth adding? I'll also add the ENnies, and maybe RPG Bloggers. Having trouble getting it to accept their feed formats though.

| I have to say that I'm finding twitter feeds much, much more useful than RSS for finding out what is happening on other sites that I'm interested in. I don't suppose RPG Bloggers and RPG Blog Alliance have twitter alerts to their blog entries which can be accessed via the app?

| For whatever reason, I can't get it to install. I go to the above site, and all I get is a screen with the ENWorld logo in the background, and a chat bubble asking me to push the button and install the app to my home page. Unfortunately, there is no button available.
