Sword/bow weapon thingy

ISTR that some time back, there was a writeup of a funky weapon that can be used as either a bow or a two-bladed sword. Probably in one of the elf splatbooks or weapon splatbooks.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Man, there's some good old-time rock 'n roll to shake your soul.

Hong, Hornsaw: Forest of Blood had something in it called a razorbow. It's a normal bow with some metal blades on the ends that can be used as a double ended weapon. It's nice in that the PC doesn't have to drop it in order to engage in melle so in essence, your weapon is always drawn. Dunno if it is what you are referring to or not, however.

Yep. I think it may be in one of the last Dragon magazine Annuals, if not in an issue of Dragon itself. It's from an article that discusses magic items/artifacts for the Greyhawk deities--basically 1 magic item per deity.

The weapon is a magical bow that, when unstrung, transforms into a double-bladed sword. I believe it was an item for one of the more combat-oriented good faiths (like Heironeous, Ehlonna, or Corellon). Can't tell you the issue # or anything like that, but I know it did show up in Dragon.

Hope that helps.

Was also a visual reference to a similar weapon in an issue of the X-Men comic book several years back. It was wielded by one of those funky all-too-common alternate future characters (a group led by a maimed Banshee, including a female Nightcrawler offspring referred to as "Blue"). I think it may have been the four-parter X-men/Fantastic Four annual cross-over story involving Rachel and Franklin.
