House Rules

I'm working on some gaming material (Non-setting) stuff for a Pathfinder game. Would this be the right place to post such ideas for critiquing?

Since my work has been requested I hereby allow it for perusal by all members of this community.

This may need an appendix (for ease of referencing what's where) at some point as I intend to fully flesh out a complete campaign world.

Feats

Acute Sensory Perception [General]
You have one or more senses that is highly developed.
Prerequisite: Racial bonus to Perception checks with one or more of the character’s senses.
Benefit: Choose one of the senses that you gain a racial bonus to; the bonus increases by +3.
Special: This feat can only be selected at first level. If the character has a bonus to more than one sense, this feat may selected more than once, increasing the bonus the character has to a different sensory ability.


Elemental Ki [General]
You can lace your ki with elemental energy.
Prerequisite: Ki Pool
Benefit: Choose one of the following elemental descriptors; acid, air, cold, earth, electricity, fire and water. When you make a ki attack you can infuse the attack with the chosen element; doing so costs you one point of ki. When you deal damage with your ki attack it completely consists the element chosen.
Special: You may select this feat more than once, selecting an additional elemental descriptor each time. The character's ki attack cannot be laced with more than one element at a time.


Expanded Aura [Divine]
Your divine presence has further reach than normal.
Prerequisite: Aura class feature
Benefit: Instead of the character’s aura being equal to her class level, it is equal to 1.5 times her class level.


Flurry of Blows [General]
You are capable of striking your foes more times than they can anticipate.
Prerequisite: Unsure of what it should be
Benefit: You are capable of delivering more attacks than you would normally be capable of. At low levels, your chance of hitting takes a penalty, but as you gain more experience you become more adept at striking and connecting more often. Reference the table below to determine your number of bonus attacks and the modifier to all your attacks when making a flurry.
- The Extra Attacks column is not cumulative. When making a flurry you add the extra attacks to your iterative attacks and apply the number in the Attack Modifier column to every attack you make as you flurry.
- When making a flurry the character adds her bonus attack(s) to the front end of her base attack bonus, using her full base attack bonus and then applying the modifier from the Attack Modifier column to her base attack bonus; for example a 11th level fighter with a flurry of blows would make a flurry with an attack bonus of +11/+11/+11/+6/+1.
Special: Characters can only make unarmed flurries. By selecting other feats to add to this, the caharacter is able to use certain weapons in conjunction with her Flurry of Blows. Monks gain this feat for free at 1st level regardless of whether or not they meet the prerequisite.

Giant Blood [General]
One of your parents is a giant and you are tall enough to prove it.
Benefit: You permanently increase your size category by one and gain all benefits and drawbacks that go with it. When calculating your weight based on your race, double your base racial weight and then add in the die modifier.
Special: This feat can only be selected at first level.


Ki Blast [General]
You are capable of making unarmed attacks from a distance.
Prerequisite: Ki Pool
Benefit: By expending 2 points of ki, the character is able to make a single unarmed strike using only her fist as her weapon. The attack is treated as treated as a ranged touch attack, with a maximum distance of 30 feet.
- When the character uses ki blast, a ball of shimmering energy manifests as she completes her unarmed attack with her fist and it flies to the designated target. The ki blast is an extension of the character’s spirit and therefore is made of spiritual energy, which is incapable of harming anything other than the designated target.
- The amount of damage dealt to the designated target is dependant of the character’s size and unarmed strike damage.


Ki Reservoir [General]
You pool of ki runs deep.
Prerequisite: Ki Pool class feature, Extra Ki, Wisdom 15
Benefit: The character calculates her ki pool by adding her class level instead of half her class level to her Wisdom modifier in the classes that give the character her Ki Pool class feature.
Special: This feat can only be selected at first level.


Racial Ascendancy [General]
You are among the exceptionally gifted among your kind.
Prerequisite: Race that gains a bonus to one or more specific ability scores.
Benefit: Choose one of your ability scores that received a bonus based on your race. The chosen ability score increases by +1.


Stone Strike [Combat]
Your unarmed attacks are particularly effective
Prerequisite: Improved Unarmed Strike, Stunning Fist, Weapon Focus (Unarmed Strike)
Benefit: When you damage your foes with unarmed strike, you deal one additional die of plus one hp worth of damage.

The feats seem a little monk-centric, and since I don't see very many monks in my campaign, it's hard to comment on what's here.

I'm not fond of ability score increases or size increases, so IMO those feats are too powerful.

Got any more? How about house rules that aren't feats?

More Feats

Herbal Lore [General]
You are able to use your knowledge of the natural world to be able to better tend to wounds whether they are your own or your traveling companions.
- Prerequisite: Heal 4 ranks, Survival 4 ranks
- Benefit: When using the Heal skill and getting along in the great outdoors you are able to scrounge for herbs, roots and fungi to use to treat wounds. Scrounging takes 1d4 hours and yields enough material to consist of one Healer’s Kit.
