You can go ahead and buy items before. Since they are listed (or should be) in your equiipment section with the cost it is little effort to calculate the total.

I think with level ups it's just been judges. Speaking of which, Pari Kalikasan (Mowgli) is APPROVED for level 4.

InVinoVeritas, Kanli looks to have roughly 200 gold more in gear and coins than he's received through starting wealth, adventure rewards and DMCs. I may have miscalculated. Take a look and see if you agree. I don't think it enough to hold back approval, though so... Kanli (InVinoVeritas) is APPROVED for level 4. EDIT: Ok, checked again myself. I did make an error by adding starting wealth on both sides of the equation. This means Kanli is just over by 54.5 gp; not enough to worry about, imo.

Mandalo Chalybis (maquise) BAB hasn't been updated from 2nd level to 3rd and also BAB, CMB, CMD, and attacks aren't updated. Saves haven't been added up. Gear value + coinage is 85 gold over starting wealth + adventure treasure rewards. You're close but not yet approved.
Heads up for judges approving level ups for characters still in Bloodcove Disguise, their gold values may be off because they are using gear acquired that has not been factored into their GP reward total yet.

CootaR, the block with all the changes listed from level one to level two looks fine but those changed need to be worked into the rest of the character's sheet. You also need to update the Equipment and Finances sections with the treasure you gained from Lady of the Lake and the purchases you made in the Mystic Pearl. For now, Krag (CootaR) is NOT YET APPROVED.
Mowgli, I'm guessing you've received some xp in Bloodcove Disguise, perhaps, that you haven't recorded on your sheet. The xp total you have listed under your adventure log equals 2,246 xp, a bit shy of the 3,353 listed in Kalinn's Basic Information. For now, Kalinn Ari "Frost" (Mowgli) is NOT YET APPROVED.

CootaR, I've looked and looked and Krag seems to be missing 297 gold, 6 silver, and 5 copper. Did you buy and use potions and/or other expendables? If so, you should mark that in your Adventure Log when it happens so we can get an accurate tally when we check everything over at level-ups. If you haven't bought anything like that and used it then you should probably add that amount in coin or other goods. Regardless, everything else looks good. Krag (CootaR) is APPROVED for level 2.
OK, I think I've got Kalinn sorted out now. Totals in "Basic Info" should match what's in "Adventure Log," and the AL total should jive with what galahad's posted in the first post of Bloodcove Disguise (not including the "Ambush" encounter). But now it's not at the 3300 needed for Level 3. I went over this with galahad a few weeks ago, but now can't find the PM or e-mail where he broke it out for me. I'll try to find it again.
Never mind - got them all figured now. XP in the Adventure Log reflects everything through the House Cartehegn encounter, Time XP is through the 06/10 (the end of the HC encounter and the date he leveled). Totals now match that listed in Basic Info, and are enough for third level.

Yeah, we know. Just a reminder: if you add the 'Awaiting Approval' category (bottom of the character sheet) we'll notice it much sooner. With a lot of level-ups happening at the same time your request in this thread might slip behind other requests/comments and get over-looked. (I've already added the category to a few character level requests but you might want to check yours just to be sure).
