Who or what is the DGS? The Dead Games Society is an eclectic group of RPG enthusiasts who enjoy playing and promoting games that are no longer in print. We are also collectors of unusual, and oftentimes rare, RPGs, supplements, and board games.
We believe all those now hard to find games, which we so enjoyed in our youth, should be available to the new generation as well as those simply wanting to relive great memories. Combined, we had many of these games, so we thought, why not us? Our little society was formed from such humble beginnings.
Now we take those old games off the shelves, knocking the dust from their covers and show people just how much fun they still are to play. We go to conventions, meet at the homes of friends and even play these games online.
So, are you ready to dig up a dead game?Last Activity: Saturday, 19th September, 2015 07:10 PM

Iago home thread
At the edge of Known Space lies the frontier, a region of old Imperial worlds scattered among young, vigorous colonies and the remnants of decaying interstellar empires. Many ply the jumpspace routes in order to profit from trade, or engage in diplomacy, or any of a thousand other reasons. But there are surprises waiting in the silent spaces between the stars, and they wait for heroes to rise to the challenge.Last Activity: Friday, 9th January, 2015 06:54 PM

Kulan PBP #2: Brainstorming and Q&A!
This campaign takes the standard "Superhero RPG" and turns it into a "Comic Book Company Universe" rpg.
During the course of playing this campaign players will control, at various times, their main characters who are a part of the superhero team/Green Ronin Comics comic book "The Champions of Freedom" as well as several alt characters of their own creation from different teams / comic books within the :universe" of Green Ronin Comics. (Such as; "The Freedom Teens", "Ronin Knights", "The Star Guard", "The Eldrich Circle", and solo heroes.
In the first story arc of the campaign titled "The Return of Centurion" we will see the origin of the main characters who will eventually gel together to form the "Champions of Freedom" team. We will also see the return of the Centurion, THE iconic paragon hero of the Green Ronin Universe who was thought dead since the 1990's while saving the planet from the atrocities of Omega, Overlord of the Terminus.
In the second story arc of the campaign titles "Scarab Reborn" we will see the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian spirit of Prince Heru-Ra who, in his last incarnation we known to the world as the super hero, Scarab. This reincarnation cycle is attempted to be thwarted by Prince Heru-Ra's ancient enemy, the immortal spirit of Tan-Aktor, better known to the world as the evil mastermind Overshadow. As the story culminates we will also see the introduction of some of the individual heroes' arch-enemies. By the end of this time many of the main player characters will have the chance to stay solo or join the newly international Freedom League.
In the third story arc of the campaign titled "To Serve and Protect" we will see exactly what that term means in the greate sense of being a superhero. By this time several of the players' alt characters have been introduced. These seemly individual story lines will come together by the end of the story arc in a manner that will shake the Freedom League to its very core and see a split in the team.
In the fourth story arc of this campaign titled "Time of Crisis" we will see the individual heroes come together, both the players' main characters as well as alts. The very fabric of the entire multiverse is in danger and all will be on the very edge of complete and utter destruction! If the heroes survive and thwart the Ultimate plan of Omega to annihilate every single universe and all continuities in the multiverse we will finally see the formation of The Champions of Freedom!Last Activity: Saturday, 11th March, 2017 06:29 AM
