Stranger in a Mage Land
The year was 1359 Dalereckoning, Year of the Serpent. Toril was still reeling from the Year of Shadows and all the chaos and change it brought about. Old gods died and new ones ascended to replace them. Among the divine casualties was Mystra, Goddess of Magic. The human mage Midnight rose to take her mantle, but this event caused some unrest among the magocracy of Halruaa.
Located in southern Faerun, Halruaa is no place to grow up without a proclivity to magic. Alas, the poor souls chronicled here were such luckless folk...
Stump, a squalid village in the Akhlaur Swamp southeast of the West Wall, was the only home our restless adventurers had, until this point, ever known. A hard existence full of back breaking work, Stump was one of many such communities that existed to provide fish and lumber for the arcane overlords who ruled Halruaa from their tall towers in distant shining cities. These ruling elite could be spotted on rare occasions soaring far overhead in their magical skyships, sailing the blue skies with nary a glance at the less fortunate souls scratching out a meager existence far below.
The fish were pulled from the Ghalagar River which flowed down from the mighty Lhairghals mountains. The lumber was harvested from the trees growing in the diabolical swamp. Both practices were frequently deadly what with all the monsters and humanoids calling Akhlaur Swamp home. But even these dangers paled in comparison to the horrors the locals whispered about that dwelt in the fetid swamp far from any settlement. Legend held that at the black heart of Akhlaur lay an ancient city destroyed by the gods for growing too decadent, and some believe too powerful. Many foolish folk struck out in search of the ruins never to be seen or heard from again.
It was from this time and place our party formed, the hand of fate playing no small part in its humble origins. These stalwart heroes would rise from this insignificant village and.... well the rest, as they say, is history...Category: D&D 3.5Last Activity: Tuesday, 25th September, 2012 04:21 PM

The Keys of Solomon
They are coming.
The First Prophet looked up at the stars, his eyes white and unseeing, yet his gaze extending far beyond time and space. From across a thousand light years and a hundred centuries, he could sense the gathering forces racing towards Solomon, ready to dive upon its surface and claim its treasure as their own. Millennia ago, Solomon had been entrusted with the Keys- seven links in the chain of reality, each with dominion over one of the basic forces of the Universe. Discovered by the ancient Eldar, scattered amongst the people of Solomon, hidden and protected against discovery at all costs, the Keys combined could make the wielder a god, able to reshape reality as he or she saw fit. For thousands of years, the people of Solomon had kept them secret and safe. Now the secret was out, and the race was on.
Time. Space. Creation. Destruction. Matter. Energy. Spirit.
The armies of the galaxy were gathering. The war for Solomon could result in the birth of a golden age- or the destruction of everyone and everything in the universe. Only time would tell.
The First Prophet lowered his eyes. The End of All was near. After uncounted centuries, now it would fall to this generation to determine the fate of reality itself. He sighed wearily as the first pulses of ships translating from the Warp bloomed high over the planet's surface. Almost simultaneously, he felt the webway burst forth on Solomon's surface, disgorging the Eldar who would be the world's saviors or destroyers. It was all as he had feared.
They are coming.Category: Other GamesLast Activity: Monday, 22nd October, 2012 06:26 PM

~ When the Skies Burn ~
Vlaakith lives.
A group of adventurers had managed to infiltrate the dread palace of the Revered Lich Queen, bested all odds and slew her, destroying her phylactery. They were fools! None can truly defeat Her Magnificence, she is merely delayed but a little while.
When she rises again, the Prime worlds will tremble, the enemies of Gith's children will pray to their impotent gods, cities will fall, all knees shall bend and skies will burn....

War of the Burning Sky
Once, news reached the Free City-State of Gate Pass by weekly teleporting courier, that channel has gone silent, and now what little news there is must travel by the old routes of rumor — travelers from the outside world. You might be one of those travelers, or a concerned native of the city, but you have heard the rumors.
Emperor Drakus Coaltongue, ruler of the mighty Ragesian Empire which lies to the west of Gate Pass, has been slain in a distant nation, or so the rumors say. Of course, the rumors once said that Coaltongue was immortal. However, no one doubts the tales of armies mustering in Ragesia, with orders to secure the borders of the empire at this time of weakness and uncertainty. And from Shahalesti, the eladrin nation east of Gate Pass, the rumors say its ruler seeks to claim the vulnerable Ragesia for his people.
And so Gate Pass sits, alone in its mountain pass, one of the few safe routes between these two belligerent and antagonistic nations. For weeks the people of Gate Pass have been saying war would inevitably come to the city, and now the rumors are coming true…Category: D&D 4th EditionLast Activity: Saturday, 3rd November, 2012 12:44 AM
