A First Post

"Hey, forums. Cool. "

- "Think they'll get more use than the last ones?"

"Hey, who knows?"

- "Im just saying, its not like we put out a lot of stuff"

"Thats going to change."

- "Or have a huge fan base..."

"Thats going to change."

- "You sure sound awfully optimistic for an ogre."

"Thats going to... erm, I mean, thats what you pay me for."

(This random silliness brought to you by the Ogre's first slave, Eric. Feel free to post if you made it this far down, and prove the Ogre he's right.

Or dont, and prove me right. :P

Slife - Almost all MMORPGs make sense if you assume the god of time has gone horribly, horribly mad.

Short of that, you're not really getting the MMO experience.

Made it past the first post as well. The deep druid sounds interesting in one of your products. Is there a demo available?

Yes, there is a demo. I keep forgetting there isnt a direct link from ENGS.

http://www.hugeogre.com/downloads/HOP1000_Demo.pdf

That is actually a 20 page demo that shows a little from each chapter, so that you get an idea of our writing style and the content.

Thanks for asking, and congratulations for winning the contest last week!

Eric

- HA! I told you you stupid ogre, people don't post.

You cant blame them, its not like you gave them a reason to post.

- oh SURE, now you blame ME for them not posting. You're just sore you lost.

Not to mention you picked a stupid subject line. Hell, I wouldn't post here.

- Watch your language, this is a family forum.

Right, sorry.

- Anyway, its not a lame subject line.

Sure it is. Something like "Insane Ramblings of the Ogre's overworked slaves" would have been MUCH more effective.

-Hmm, you have a point there. Oh well, theres nothing I can do about it now.

Sure there is, you nimwit.

- Hey, who you calling nimwit, YOU'RE the ogre.

Right, and the boss too, if you'll remember (holds large club menacingly)

- Uh right (gulp) And what do you mean, sure there is?

I mean you can do something about it.

- You mean like start a new thread?

GRRRRR, No. Just change the subject.

- Won't they notice?

No.

- But what about the ones who were already here?

Bribe them. Works with the city guards doesnt it?

- Bribe them with what? We spent out last gold piece getting here.

You really are dense, arent you?

- Maybe.

Give them something for free. Something like the Spell Cards, or the book.

- If I give it to all of them then who will buy it? We need to make some gold back, REMEMBER?

*sigh* Dont give it to ALL of them. Tell them something sneaky like "everyone who has this in their wishlist on Sunday morning will get it for free.

- Still, that could be a lot of people.

Good point. OK, maybe you AREN'T a nimwit. Nah, you are. Still, lets just say we'll give one away for each of the hairs hanging out of my nose right now.

- Thats STILL an awful lot of free stuff.

Hey! ok, ok, ONE nostril.

- Which one.

My left one.

- You're wish is my command master.

- HEAR YE, HEAR YE. Henceforth let it be known that whoshallever have the Spellcards of the Underhalls in their cart when the sun riseth on the Ogre's cave two days hence

Um, its three days.

- It is NOT.

Sure it is. Today is Thursday. Friday (one finger) Saturday (two fingers) and Sunday (three fingers). See?

- Oh, right.

- HEAR YE, HEAR YE. Henceforth let it be known that whoshallever have the Spellcards of the Underhalls in their cart when the sun riseth on the Ogre's cave three days hence shall be eligible to receive free stuff.

I think the law requires you to be more specific.

- Um, specific? You mean like phat loot? A booger from the nose of the ogre?

I was thinking of a copy of the Spell Cards, or even Guardians. We'll decide later.

- As you command.

Oh, and you forgot something. Seriously, which of us is the ogre here?

- You are.

You wouldnt know it.

- What are YOU talking about?

You forgot something. Threaten the newshounds or something.

- WHY on earth would I do that?

Because if they post it on the front page you'll get a lot of people who wouldnt have otherwise SEEN this thread.

- Hmmm, you're not really an ogre, are you?

Of course I am.
