I'm back from my holidays and playing catch-up with the New Releases that have hit stores in the last couple of weeks. Kicking off a two-part column this week we're looking at items that hit stores last week (week beginning 13th November). Board games, card games, RPGs, Miniatures and collectible games... hopefully something for everyone! In addition to the games hitting your local store we’ve also looked at a selection of RPG PDF releases that we hope may be of interest. For more information about any of the physical products please contact your local games store.

Welcome back to our weekly look at tabletop roleplaying game, and accessories, crowdfunding roundup! Each week we’ll be looking at a few campaigns currently running that have caught our eye as well as occasionally speaking to some of the creators about their campaigns, or looking at some of the ‘behind the scenes’ business aspects of putting together, launching, operating and then delivering a crowdfunded project. If you have anything you’d like us to cover, or questions about anything we talk about, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or contact me directly.

This week, I am off to the incredibly fun and entertaining convention called Con on the Cob. I've been a Guest every year except for two, and I am proud and thrilled to be a part of that weird, wonderful family that award-winning artist and beloved weirdo Andy Hopp brings together (along with the fantastic Heather Hopp). In celebration of returning to the wilds of Northern Ohio once again, I've called this Oddly Wonderful Week and brought you some of the stranger RPG products I know about.

Welcome back to another look at tabletop roleplaying game, and accessories, crowdfunding roundup! There are so many campaigns running on Kickstarter at present that we're having two columns this week! If you have anything you’d like us to cover, or questions about anything we talk about, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or contact me directly.

With Halloween falling on a Tuesday next week, most folks are going all-in with their celebrations and related activities (at least here in the States) this weekend. That's why I decided to call this All Hallows' Eve Week and featured horror-and-spooky gaming products for the theme. I might have gone a bit overboard with the Friday Picks...

Shades of Vengeance return to their best-selling game, the sci-fi Era: The Consortium, in their latest Kickstarter. A Universe of Expansions 2 sees a host of new supplements on offer and mirrors a similar campaign in 2016 that unlocked eight expansions to add to the Consortium universe. Each supplement not only adds new story material and insight into the universe, but also provides new dimensions to gameplay.

This week, I chose another great writer and creator to spotlight, this time the incomparable Monica Valentinelli. Writer, designer, editor, line developer, and advocate for inclusivity and the creation of art across multiple media, Monica is a friend and an inspiration to me. She's also a lot of fun to hang out with, and enhances the entire hobby with all she does.

The sudden snow of Monday inspired this week's theme (even though we got back up to the 70s here in Denver). Throughout the Northern Hemisphere, various signs of the cold and wintery can be found, and the last Pick of the week speaks especially to the imminent arrival of Samhain. Naturally, the cold weather also means a lot more impetus to stay inside... and play games, right?

Gallant Knight Games have signed an agreement with Nocturnal Media, the company that owns West End Games, to design, publish and distribute a new edition of the classic D6 System. The D6 System has been a popular system over the last thirty years and with FFG bringing out a limited anniversary edition of the classic WEG Star Wars The Roleplaying Game later this year the system will be in the spotlight again.

Dragons Conquer America is a game of historical fantasy based on the European invasion of America in the 16th century. Whilst the game setting is based on historical fact and includes events which took place during the Mesoamerican War of Conquest along with the historical nations and characters, it is also rife with fantasy elements. Powerful magic, mystic forces, and mythical creatures such as fairies and dragons are present. Indeed, thanks to Saint George taming and converting a dragon in the 3rd century, dragons have been part of the Catholic world for over a thousand years. Along with dragon riders.
