He's a eladrin obviously from the imperium; he has the sterotypical blond hair, hook nose and the sleeveless tabard (worn over plate mail). He's slighter in build and shorter than Riardon.
He carries a simple spear and a shield with the mark of Palladys. His hair was cropped short, but has apparently been growing for a month now giving him a shaggy mien.
He speaks casually with a warm smile.
Imperial/Eladrin/Elvin
Riardon! You've come to the main isle! How fantastic!
He switchs to Allarian, which he speaks haltingly Greetings Friends of Riardon!

I am in an interesting period of my life; I will post in games that I run three times a week (M,W,F); and try to maintain obligations in existing games.
...disquieting...
There was no end to his patience and endurance. He played day and night, his obsession was somewhat disquieting. It was less as if he were playing to dispel gloom or beguile tedium than as if he were giving himself up to the fangs of gaming devils."

Rurdev's eyes go to the eladrin that enters behind them. "Who are y-y-you?" he says, hand going to the hilt of his sword.
Amicus quickly raises his hands a few inches, to show his palms, in (what he thinks is) a universal gesture of peace. I am Amicus, who always serves the gods and was to be a questos. Now I seek my own truths.
Somewhat unnecessarily he gestures toward Riardon. We are known to each other.

Hi I'm a comic and rpg nerd. Don't hurt me, please.
"Well certainly you haven't hear of Dalzim Zalimock, the magnificent, if it's true by your looks that you come from Imperium." the gnome let's his book aside and shows a wide smile. "Do not worry, if as Riardon says, our host decides to hire you, then you'll have plenty of opportunities to watch me earn my title."
Yeah, its all bad latin. I don't speak it, so it strikes the right balance for me.
If somebody does and it's killing them to read it (people's weird pseudo-Japanese sometimes makes me crazy) I can cut back.
Given Amicus' weird family history I figured that they named him something that would encourage good behavior. In America we occasionally name kids Chastity, etc.
(I should name my next kid fortitude, and then I could call the rest Will, Reflex and... hm... I don't think I could get "armor class" past the wife...
You are working for someone? A provincialis*, I mean.... a person from the locality? This seems to pique his interest.
*
Imperial for "a provincial". Imperials use it for all people who aren't from the prime isolate, their central capital.
Amicus stands somewhat uncomfortably in the doorway for a minute, before entering the building and sitting stiffly.
He leans forward and looks at Dalzim. I am pleased to make your acquaintance. May I ask... you are a gnomin? From where do you hail? Why are you magnificent? Is it a common title among your people?

The heavily robed warforged puts the books down, its dark hood only giving the slightest glance to the newcomer. Instead, he just stood with its hands folded at its waist, waiting. Smoke occasionally wafted from where the fingers met.

"Some s-s-scholar," Rurdev answered the newcomer. "S-s-speaking of..." Rurdev leaves his place in the sitting area, and walks toward the kitchen, looking for their host.
With Amicus introduced to the other four who've assembled in the sage's home, time seems to dilate as they wait for their host. Even Incarnation is bored and puts down the obtuse text he is reading.
Never one to wait long Rurdev heads towards the kitchen to find the sage. Behind the stairs to the second floor, Rurdev finds the door to the kitchen, a low candelabra heavy with thick, old, wax candles lights the room. Inside the old sage is just stirring his tea with a small metal ball. He sets the metal ball on wooden bowl, leaving the chain hanging from the side. If the incense bothered Rurdev, the overwhelming scents of the kitchen are no help.
"Ah changed you mind have you? Care for some tea? It'll only take a few minutes to prepare it." Astrepius says.
Back in the waiting room the others watch as the sun's last light finally goes out. There are but 3 candles now lighting the room providing pin pricks of light. It would be difficult now to read any of the books unless they were held directly under the candles.
"Right you are, lets join the others then." he says. His throat seems to have cleared with the application of the tea. His gate has not as he slowly ambles down the hallway towards the front room. Joining the rest, Rurdev moves off to the side while Astrepius comes in and takes the last remaining seat. While he doesn't say anything until seated, he does notice Amicus' presence in the room. "I see we another Eladrin has joined us. Welcome to my home, I am Astrepius Sicilus, sage. May I inquire whether you bring knowledge of the Imperium and your connection to the assembled investigators?"
I am Amicus. I was to serve as a questos, which is a sort of investigator and crusader for the senate, which governs the Imperium, before the current difficulties made travel back to the prime isolates difficult.
So I have knowledge, yes. And I am seeking more.
He gestures to Riadron We are known to each other. And saw each other on the street a moment ago. I came to see what brought him here.

"I-I-I think we are a-a-all seeking k-k-knowledge here," he says licking his lips. Rurdev brings a knee to his chest as if stretching. After placing his foot back on the floor, he repeats the process with the other knee.
