Dane tries to slow down the fleeing rat-men but is unable to land a sutiable hit. The dwarf doesn't hear Riardon and follows after the wererats to stop their plague. Once he gets into position, he unleashs a fury of wide strikes to try and bring down the last of his enemies.
Actions
Moving to AC18. Cleave vs wererat 1, marking him. Action point, cleave vs wererat 1. Secondary attacks go to wererat 2 for 4 pod. If wererat 1 goes down after the first strike, he will switch if over to wererat 2.
Between Dane's massive hit, Rurdev's follow through, and Vashik and Incarnation's ranged attacks the two remaining wererats fall. The party stands victorious.
Dane is happy with his work and even more happy that he wasn't bloodied this encounter. He waddles over to the shapeshifting boy, checks to see if he's breathing then tries to bind him with his rope.
Riardon keeps watch as the others tend to the wounded (were there any?) and the vanquished foes. No other thugs or wererats make themselves known to the keen eyes of the warlord.
Dane checks on the kid who is still breathing but unconscious. He ties the 'kid' up so that he can't run away. That last blast has left him quite out of it for a while that he doesn't even rouse at the rough handling.
Rurdev walks over to one of the thugs whom he had witnessed the hand off earlier. The thug is dead and carrying a backpack. The bag is quite heavy and there is something noticably bulky inside (not so much that the bag is bulging, but that a large-ish item can be felt).
Incarnation is not able to find anything special about the bag itself. Opening the bag, Rurdev spies an oddly coloured greenish-brown metal object. The object is a good foot tall and looks like a small seated creature. There is something distinctly wrong with the idol though the shift and warforged cannot put their finger on it.
Dane and Riardon finish gathering the bodies. The thugs were armed with simple clubs and the wererats both large and small carried short swords. None of the combatants had any armor on. The 'kid' carried a long sword that looks better maintained and higher quality than the other weapons retrieved thus far.
"Can I have a look? Anylys Arcanum!" Riardon asks, but doesn't sound excited. "Doesn't seem to be magical. Do you want to make a second guess, Incarnation?"
OOC
Everyone in 20 sq around Riardon gets a +2 to initiative.
When you spend an AP, you get a +3 on attacks.
It masks its magic, though arcane it must be. Unnatural at least. The warforged examines its closely for marks and what not before agreeing with the shifter, Though we are already at the place of its origin. But we have yet a means to destroy it.
