"I'll give you directions to his hovel, unless you prefer that I join you. Its quite a ways from here and would prefer to avoid it unless necessary. Rosvodiz lived on the other side of town down by the docks." replies the old sage. He produces a small well drawn and detailed map indicating the location of a small shanty built on the side of a warehouse down by the dock. Not much security down in that part of town for a lone shifter.

With a map in hand and directions from the sage's home, the group heads out into the night towards the docks. It is about an hour after sun down so while there is still plenty of time before you are all feeling tired, it is getting quite dark out. In the academic district its pretty easy to move around now that the lamp-lighters have been about. As you move down the cobble stone streets the sights and sounds of Daunton shift. Where in the higher levels of the city it is fairly well lite and few people are out on the streets, the districts you pass through come alive with people. Taverns are busy, light and raucus noise filter out disgorging the occasional drunk on his way home. Towards the docks though more often than not the drunk's are tossed out or ejected after a particularly nasty fist fight. Light here is less common, found only on major intersections and even then flames flicker and provide little illumination down the shadowy alleys. Strange shapes dance in the shadows as the smells of surf mingle with the sweat and blood of a hard day's work.

Dalzim keeps walking among the shadows, hiding his person in every shade he found. This district chills his bones, and he says nothing all the way through there, keeping a worry look in his face as he search every corner for possible threats, but he is more focused in keeping himself hidden than looking for troubles.

Perception: 7 D'oh
Stealth: 19 Better

Incarnation walks in the midsts of the others, not attempting any particular stealth. He kept focused, not speaking, steadily walking to their destination.

Rurdev keeps pace beside the warforged, his soft footsteps can't be heard in constrast to the sound of the warforged a few feet away, and the armored Eladrin nearby. His hands are on his blades, keeping an eye to the shadowed alleys for threats. Thankful to his lycanthrope heritage, the shadows conceal little from him, his vision keener than most.

According to the map, the party turns off the main road, plunging into the darkness. The shifter's hovel should be down the alley around behind a series of warehouses. Off the beaten path things are a little more sketchy than other parts of Daunton especially in this district. There are no street lights and the close two story buildings crowd in around you. Debris and detritus lie haphazardly in the alley as you move towards the hovel.

(corridor is 5' wide. march order? light sources?)

Amicus takes point, Riardon following, Dalzim is in the middle trying his best not to be in a direct line but the narrowness of the corridor is proving difficult, Incarnation is next with a glowing light following him around, and Rurdev brings up the rear. Moving into the darkness Dalzim's soft glowing light follows the burning 'forge around. The alley is a mess of grabage and detritus at times making it so narrow that Incarnation's size is a hinderance. There is no sign of trouble as the group makes its way around the corner of the warehouse.

At the back of the alleyway several shanties have been built against the warehouse making it even more difficult. Owners shift in their hovels from the noise of your passing, but no one peaks out and no lights can be seen. The way twists down through several more shanties until you arrive at the one indicated by Astrepius' map. This hovel seems a bit stronger built of wooden planks. The thin door stands slightly ajar and there is no light inside. There is a small window on the far side from what Riardon can tell.

Rurdev walks down the narrow alley, his keen sense of smell noticing the homeless before sight could reveal their presence. Upon reaching the old shifter's house, Rurdev walks to the window, motions for the warforged to bring the light closer and peers inside.

Roll Lookup: Nat 20 on perception, 28.
