The windows are shuttered closed, and JNC stated that it is a minor action to open the shutters...Unless you intent was to actually smash through the shutters... then perhaps a strength check would be required.
Not trying to rules lawyer or anything here - just wanted to make sure you were aware of the shutters is all
Like a cuckoo bird springing from a clock, Mikara leaps to the window, throwing the shutters aside.
"Cuckoo!"
A single, deadly shaft (just to be clear: that's an arrow) flies under the half-orc's armpit and buries itself in Marglespats back as he lies prone.
Just like the aforementioned cuckoo bird, Mikara springs back away from the window, but maintains a protective vigil for her bludgeonous (,buff) comrade inside.
OOC:
Move action: to K14
Minor action: Open window
Standard action:
Evasive Strike, if it's not gone on account of my readied action.
Nimble Strike if it is.
Seeing Tonk fall through the roof, Tristan shakes his head, then goes to the half-orc's aid. He runs to the nearest window, throws open the shutters, dives through the window into a roll on the floor, then bounds across the rest of the room, ending up behind one of Marglespat's cronies. It looks as though his wild rush robbed him of his balance, but the elf stabilizes himself and launches his attack. "Tonk, we need to get out of here."
Actions
Ken, I agree with ren - this was funnier. But I do think we should try to get them outside. You go one way and I'll go the other?
Tristan Moonblade - Male Elf Avenger (Dayna) 1 Passive Perception: 21, Passive Insight: 14; Low-light vision AC:17, Fort:13, Reflex:15, Will:15 -- Speed:7 HP:24/28, Bloodied:14, Surge Value:7, Surges Left:8/9
Action Points: 1, Second Wind: available Powers Bond of Pursuit, Overwhelming Strike Angelic Alacrity, Channel Divinity, Elven Accuracy, Oath of Enmity Oath of the Final Duel Group Awareness: All non-elf allies within 5 squares of Raiyek gain a +1 bonus to Perception.
Tonk, you gonna do anything besides the Intimidate attempt?
Yep. That didn't count as an action, did it? It was more of a make the best of falling through the roof thing.
Lord Sessadore
Hey, now! Don't blame my boy, Tonk, for the bad rolls. It's all me. My boy is all kinds of half-orc, Herman Munster goodness.
"Hee-hee! Pretty elf lady say 'Cuckoo!'"
Tonk flip-kicks onto his feet. [Move: Stand from Prone]
"What is last thing through mind of poopy man on floor when attack by crazy, naked, forest monster?"
Tonk springs onto his hands, flips into mid-air, and slams his mace down onto Marglespat's skull. [Minor Action: Hunter's Quarry --> Marglespat; Standard Action: Handspring Assault 1d20+6=25 + 2 for prone target = 27 v. AC; Free Action: Furious Assault; Damage: 3d6+4d8+4=38]
"Mace of me! Ha-ha-ha!"
Conditionals
If the Intimidate roll counted as an action, Tonk spends an action point to accomplish what was just written, and Tonk shifts to K15, through window (Acrobatics 1d20+9=27).
If not, and Marglespat still lives, Tonk shifts to L13 and performs a Disheartening Strike by spending an Action Point.
If not, and Marglespat is dead, Tonk shifts to I13 and performs a Disheartening Strike against the sycophant at J12. (Sorry, can't read the titles of the tokens on this borrowed computer.)
Oh, hey, the board's back up. Unfortunately, I'm too tired to post much right now.
I might not have as much time to post from here as I thought, so I will try to keep up but if I don't show up for a while, rest assured I'll be back next Monday.
Tonk
Don't have the PHB on me, but I interpreted the Intimidate attempt as the "attempt to make them surrender" action listed under the skill. I don't recall what action type that is exactly, but I'm pretty sure it's not free. (You can look it up yourself, I'm sure.) If you're not using Intimidate that way, it's a free action and will pretty much just determine how I flavour their next actions. Up to you.
Don't have the PHB on me, but I interpreted the Intimidate attempt as the "attempt to make them surrender" action listed under the skill.
Nah. I wasn't intending it that way, because they have to be bloodied before considering surrender. I just wanted to make them scream so more for comic effect.
Sorry to ignore this for so long while posting in the admin threads - every time I was at a computer I had time to skim stuff and make quick posts, but not enough time to fiddle with image editing or anything. I'm writing this up offline now, so I can't link to any rolls.
Mikara
Don't worry, you didn't use the Evasive Strike power since your action didn't trigger. You just "wasted" a standard action that you could have done something more useful with, not the power.
Tonk
Uh, can you break down where you got 3d6+4d8 damage? I get 3d8 for 3[W] weapon damage from Handspring Assault, +1d8 for +1[W] from Furious Assault and 1d6 for Hunter's Quarry - where do the other 2d6 come from?
Three of the windows slam open nearly simultaneously, and the cabin's occupants spin around in surprise. You hear whimpers of bewilderment and terror as the five frail old men are abruptly confronted by a deadly array of weapons.
Mikara's arrow punches through Marglespat's back, piercing his lung and emerging from his sunken chest. His screams of terror abruptly turn into bloody, bubbling gurgles. Blade's attack blasts a beam of light into the ceiling - while the target is staring at it, slack-jawed with amazement, Tristan dives athletically through the window, rolls to his feet, and sprints past him, waving his scimitar. The man turns to follow his path, joints creaking, but is so slow that he has barely started his laborious turn when Tristan's scimitar takes him in the stomach. He doubles over and vomits blood while Tristan sprints away.
Tonk hefts his mace over Marglespat, but halts his attack as the old man dies before his eyes. Shrugging, he turns away, butchers another of the patriarch's companions, and moves to the door.
The two remaining men stare in horror at the carnage, and then turn as one and sprint for the exits. The one closest to the door yanks it open and dashes outside, wheezing from the exertion. The other attempts to leap out the window. He only makes it a few inches off the ground - the windowsill takes him in the sternum, and he folds over, gasping. He glances over his shoulder at the two bloodthirsty killers in the room with him, and clambers to his feet, shuddering. His limbs creak arthritically as he pulls himself painfully through the window and collapses to the ground outside. You hear the crashing of branches mixed with the creaking of abused elderly limbs and grunts of pain as both of them shuffle into the woods as fast as their feeble and gouty legs can carry them.
Action and Terrain Changes
By the time Blade's turn came around, Marglespat was already dead, so I chose to on the closest enemy (Sycophant 2) instead. Not that it mattered since it missed.
Since Marglespat is dead by Tonk's turn, I used his third conditional, ignoring the Handspring Assault attack and just using Disheartening Strike.
I should have specified that you can jump through the windows as part of a move action, not a shift. Since I hadn't said it (and because I've already delayed too long to ask for a new action), I let Tristan do it this time. But from now on, you can only dive through them as part of a move action (including running and charging - basically anything that's not shifting and not forced movement.)
I just realized I didn't actually locate the path you came in on. It's M1 and M2, continuing off the map to the south - overgrown, so still difficult terrain like the rest of the forest.
Status
Mikara moves to K14, opens the window, and attacks Marglespat with Evasive Strike, hitting for 25 points of damage and killing him! As a followup she shifts to J15, which still has line-of-sight on Sycophant 4 (in fact he doesn't even have cover - I drew the lines and everything). Not that he's there any more when her turn comes around again.
Blade moves to H7, opens the window, and attacks Sycophant 2, missing.
Tonk shifts to I13 and attacks Sycophant 1, hitting for 16 points of damage, rattling him! And killing him!
Dextyr moves to G7 and studies the situation, learning nothing. (Lowest DC for monster knowledge checks is 15 and he rolled an 11.)
Tristan moves to M10, opens the window, and uses Angelic Alacrity to shift 4 squares to I9 (including jumping through the window). He attacks Sycophant 2, hitting for 18 damage, killing it too!
Sycophant 3 moves to L6, uses a minor action to open the door, and then trades his standard action to run to M1.
Sycophant 4 moves to the open window at L10 and attempts to leap out, rolling a 6. He tries again, rolling a 21, and runs to M3.
Mikara's turn! The two remaining sycophants haven't completely vanished into the woods yet, so you can still catch them if you want.
The windows at H7, K14 and M10 are open. The door at L5 is open. There is a hole in the roof at L12.
23 - Mikara (24/24 hp)
13 - Blade (25/29 hp)
9 - Tonk (24/24 hp)
7 - Dextyr (28/28 hp)
6 - Tristan (24/28 hp) 4 - Sycophant 1 at J12 (16 damage, -2 to attack rolls until EONT) 4 - Sycophant 2 at J10 (18 damage)
4 - Sycophant 3 at M1 (0 damage, -5 to attack and grants combat advantage until SONT)
4 - Sycophant 4 at M3 (0 damage, -5 to attack and grants combat advantage until SONT) 1 - Marglespat at L12 (25 damage, prone)

Tonk sees the sycophants head cave-in from his blow.
"Poop! I no mean to kill! I only want to make go sleep quick. So sorry! Hey, you must be real smart, because I see lot of brain! Ha-ha!"
JNC
I forgot to state that Tonk was going non-lethal on the sycophants. Oh, well... He's young and doesn't know his own strength.

Here's the breakdown...
2d6 from Sneak Attack (combat advantage on prone target)
1d6 from Hunter's Quarry
3d8 from 3[W] for Handspring Assault
1d8 from Furious Assault
+4 from Dexterity
For a maximum of 54 points of damage.
Yep. Tonk is AWEsome. And huggable.
When he levels up, I'll switch him to a Bravo MC, instead of Ranger MC. His max damage will drop to 52 (boo-hoo), but he'll get a +2 bonus to hit (Heh!).

What would it take for Tonk to smash through a wall or crash through a window? Would that be an Athletics roll?
And what would it take for him to leap over the wall through the hole in the ceiling and out onto the grass?
Tristan scoffs at the corpses at his and Tonk's feet. "Pathetic. Couldn't money hire better guards than that? Do the last two even deserve our attention?"
OOC
I believe the last 2d6 for Tonk's damage was from sneak attack. Also, Tonk is no longer prone, correct?
So are we going to chase down the last two? I didn't think they'd all be this easy ... I feel a little bad for slaughtering them
"Flush them all out!
They fly like the startled quail.
Quick! Bring them back home!"
Mikara sees Marglespats two remaining comrades dart out of sight of the window. She moves to the eastern side of the house to see if she can block off escape in that direction. Seeing them make a break for the forest, she wastes no time.
OOC:
Move: M10
Minor: Hunter's Quarry on closest target
Standard: Nimble Strike with Longbow on closest target. Prime Shot +1, 1d20+8=22
Damage: 1d10+5 + 1d8 (Hunter's Quarry) = 19
Nimble Strike Special: Shift to M9
Action Point (Standard): Hunter's Bear Trap on FURTHEST target (the other guy), 1d20+7 = 25!
Damage: 2d10+5 = 14
Two arrows fly. Two arrows strike! One target bleeding. One target crawling. This was too easy. Where's the big harry monster?
Her attack catches her victims from behind. The one furthest away is force to hobble.
Blade turns his attentions to the fleeing men and can't bring himself to call upon Maros' attention for these fools. He calmly points his open fist at one of the fleeing men and a massive beam of light blasts out of the devas hands slamming into the men, but Blade does not direct it to destroy them, just knock them out.
Watching the massacre around him Dextyr cannot believe the situation. Did the Keeper of the Dead really need us to take these old mens lives? This does not seem right...
Er ... are you sure you want to use your daily there, Mikara? I'm not really concerned with their speed running away - Tristan and Mikara can both outrun them, plus we both have longbows.
I'm getting paranoid - isn't this "Can Dextyr Keep Us Alive?" and not "How fast can we slaughter old men?" ... I dreamed last night that Joe sent a battalion of elven archers after us
And sorry about the slaughter, Dex. I think Tonk is your only company in the "good" category. I'm pretty sure Mikara and Blade don't really care (though Blade probably enjoys a more even fight), and Tristan doesn't really care. Raiyek would be freaking out, but he's not here
