Appearance:
Meksoor Dhakaan is a powerfully built, imposing figure of a hobgoblin standing 6'3" tall. Her yellow eyes are cold, hard and piercing, and the reddish-orange skin stretched over her taut, lithely muscular frame shows a series of intricate tattoos and brandings when not covered by her dark red, utilitarian outfit.
Personality:
Meksoor can be pleasant enough under some circumstances, but the attitude that she projects is one that does not seem to suffer fools gladly. She alternates between intimidating others to either leave her alone or provide her with information, and engaging in conversation that can leave one feeling as if they've been interrogated afterwards. One is almsot given the impression that she is someone used to being in command, and that she'd be just as happy to enforce the consequences of not bending to her will as she would be to have her orders followed. She is taking great pains to improve her attitude towards and interactions with members of the barbaric lesser races she finds herself surrounded by in Sharn, but old habits sometimes die hard.
Background:
Meksoor Dhakaan was raised in a Dhakaani enclave in the mountains of Darguun, where she was trained from a young age in the tradition of the Kech Volaar dirge singers. She saw a small amount of action during the Last War as an auxiliary commander of a small Dhakaani warband; most of her missions involved infighting among various Dhakaani factions, but she did see some combat outside of Darguun as well. She has been in Sharn for the past two years, ostensibly as a student at Morgrave University. Much of her free time is divided between searching for information about Dhakaani relics in ancient Sharn (from the time of the goblin city of Shaarat) and attempting to forge contacts with the Darguun ambassador in Sharn.

Appearance: Pohl is tall and bulky, with muscles that lack definition but have a lot of mass. His parents have made comment that his arms and thighs are like treetrunks, and Pohl will be happy to affirm these statements. His blond hair is cut very short, his skin is tanned and smooth, and his face has a ruggedness that does not instantly scream out "gorgeous", but many a young girl has swooned at the sight of him. His dragonmark is prominent on his left forearm, and he makes every effort to keep his arm open so that everyone he meets will see it. His dress is very stylish of the times, and he makes sure to keep his chain shirt sparkling and clean.
History: House Tharashk has moved into positions of power through the continent because of their abilities to find things that people need... whether that be people or things. The humans, orcs, and halforcs together have set up a guild of exceeding necessity in this day and age, and Pohl d'Velderan has been right there at the forefront of his family's expansion. A young man of intellect and strength, Pohl grew up in the City of Towers in the warm confines of the House... fully expecting to be a success. An only child, his parents (both dragonmarked members of the House as well) raised him with the expectation that he would be a strong, priviledged, and important member when he grew up. Being raised with this incredibly strong support system, Pohl firmly believed in himself and his future. Upon reaching adulthood, there was no one within the House that didn't believe he was destined for greatness... including and especially himself.
However, Pohl learned a very hard lesson once he left the warm, comforting grasp of his loving family and House Tharashk... people just don't like an arrogant, self-centered jerk. This of course came as a shock to him, as his entire life he was looked upon as a shining star. But now, without the glow of his parents to reflect his "greatness", he is considered nothing more than an obnoxious, self-congratulating, blowhard. However, the fact remains that he can in fact back up a lot of his self-serving claims. As Pohl himself says to those who complain... "it's not bragging if you can back it up". Of course this doesn't really keep people from getting pissed at him, but he deals with them with a smile and a condescending nod, because after all... lesser people should be jealous of him. It's only human nature.
Pohl specializes in tracking down other people... and he works hard as a bounty hunter for House Tharashk. If you need someone found, you could do worse by hiring him. He has spent his entire life in Sharn, learning the streets and wards like the "back of his hand" (or so he claims), and is always ready to take a job when it is offered to him. He knows it's just a matter of time before he steps into a place of importance within the House, and he looks forward to the day when his name is known throughout the city.

Appearance: Nojaz has beautiful shiny clear brownskin, unblemished save for a single piercing scar in her left cheek.
She keeps her waist length black hair tied behind her as she finds it distracting to engage in combat with it flailing about.
Her voice mathces her strong athletic build, resembling a militia lieutenant.
Personality: Nojaz is generally quite giving and feels it is her duty to help those who need physical healing.

Appearance: Shearan is fairly tall and heavy for a Valenar elf. He wears a plain, practical outfit. The only thing really conspicuous abbout him is the double scimitar he caries on his back.
Personality: Shearan lives to fight. Even after he left Valenar, he still felt the urge for combat and glory. Outside of battle, he is just another jaded mercenary, most of the time. Sometimes he gets to thinking about the past and his ancestors, and he becomes much more lively and personable. Although Shearan doesn't know it and probably wouldn't accept it, his ancestor, Aerla, one of the first rebels against the giant's does seem to favor him and the spirit's risktaking and rebellious nature shows through more than Shearan would admit.
Background: Shearan is a distant relative of the High King of Valenar... and desperately wishes he wasn't. All that ever does is get him in unpleaseant situations and intrigue, which he hates. When his father died in the Mourning, he was thrust into the political and military fray too soon for anyones comfort. It didn't help that Shearan was highly skeptical of the keepers of the past and ancestor worship in general, just like the spirit the Keepers had seen as his patron. His inexperience in matters political as well as his skepticism of the ancestors made life in Valenar difficult. Within months of the Mourning he began searching for a way to leave the country. He found it a year ago when he signed on as a mercenary with House Deneith. He had several contracts that went bad and ended up outliving all three units he was assigned to. One group bit it when they were hired to guard a "priest of the Flame" doing an exorcism on a man who turned out to be a psion. The next group was shredded fighting a rogue warforged titan. The last group, exclusively Valenar, broke up after a House Lyrander group they were guarding was attacked by a Valenar noble's entourage and several Valenar in the Denieth force sided with the noble. Shearan ended up taking out the noble with a shortbow shot. After that episode the noble's family put a bounty on Shearan's head for the death. Deneith management felt that while Shearan's actions were legit, the bounty made anyone he worked for a target for the Valenar, so they terminated his contract. He has been looking for freelance work since his career as a mercenary abruptly ended. Adventuring sounds about perfect.

Appearance: Jarik has deep velvet brown eyes, and a mane of dark brown hair which reaches down to his shoulders.
He has a runners build, slender, but well muscled and wears an explorer's outfit. Jarik's is fairly handsome, though his chin and nose might be too pronounced for some.
He looks more like a rogue than a wizard. Personality: Jarik is a fiercly intelligent with an unquenchable lust for knowledge.Having had some unfortunate experiences with women and is often painfully shy in their presence. Being intensly competitive and possessed of a fierce belief in his own abilities -sometimes bordering on arrogance- Jarick is kept in check by a keen sense of justice and gentle nature. Despite his intellect Jarik is often nieve and tends to give his trust too readily, he is a loyal friend and sees the best in people. Background: As a member of one of House Tharask's most prominent families Jarik enjoyed a relatively privileged upbringing in Zarash'ak, the Shadow Marches only City. Jarik's elder brother, Darik d'Velderan, became a member of House Tharask's ruling triumvirate when Jarik was eighteen years old. Knowing his brother's prodigious gift for languages, Darik sent Jarik to Greywall in Droamm, to serve as a translator. Several months after his arrival in Greywall Jarik went out drinking, to celebrate his nineteenth birthday with his Orc, and Half-Orc, comrades. Jarik's friends had hired a stunning half elven bard - much to Jarik's embarrassment - to sing and flirt with the youth. Much to the parties surprise - and delight - the beautiful bard appeared quite taken with Jarik and the two engaged in a conversation about philosophy, politics, and language. Several hours later a red faced Jarik left with the half-elf woman to the cheers of his House mates. The bard called herself Sorriel Larkstongue, and Jarik was soon head over heels in love with her. Never before had he encountered a woman who's intellect matched - if not exceeded - his own, she was beautiful, charming, witty and erudite; she seemed almost too good to be true. For a week Jarik spent every moment he could with Sorriel, the happiest days of his life. Then Sorriel revealed her true identity - the Hag Sora Katra - changing her form to that of a human woman -again of surpassing beauty. She gave Jarik a singed book, telling him that her sister had said he must have it. She left - leaving Jarik reeling and heart broken. The book was the Spellbook of a wizard named Theldred Keller. Jarik's natural affinity for language gradually enabled him to translate the strange language, and he began to experiment with magic – in part to take his mind off Sorriel. Finally - to his brother's chagrin - Jarik announced that he intended to pursue wizardry, and made his way to Korth to study under the Twelve. Jarik now wishes to increase his knowledge - and by extension power - and assume House Tharask's seat on the Twelve. He came to Breland recently hoping to study under Eera ir'Jalon, master of magic aboard the flying fortress Argonath. Eera refused his requests to study with her, however, mainly citing her duty to King and Country. Whilst he cannot commit his loyalty to Breland, Jarik hopes to provide some service which will persuade Eera to take him on as a pupil. Jarik still struggles with his feelings for Sora Katra, he was in love with "Sorriel" because of her intellect, and that intellect belonged to Sora Katra. Of course Sora Katra is evil, and an ancient Hag...

Reason: Forgot to add my "human" skill points - added K. Nobility. Made note of prohibited schools and added Scribe Scroll and Summon Familiar to feats.
Appearance: Veyk closely resemble the typical changeling. He is of average height, with the normal pale grey shade of skin, and medium length colourless hair. He does not possess the bulging eyes shared by some changelings, though his are the same blank white. The most notable of Veyks physical traits is his lean, muscular build. Veyk rarely assumes his natural form. Usually he appears as a rugged and muscular human, 6'1", with grey eyes and hair an unnatural shade of blue.
Personality: Veyk is solemn, often preferring his own company to that of others. He has always felt uncomfortable around others in his own form, reverting only when alone or solely in the presence of other changelings. He eschews it even around the few doppelgangers hes met. That is the reason he assumes his usual human form, with the strange hair colour. Veyk doesn't always want to hide his identity as a changeling, but he also doesn't want suspicious looks from every passerby.
Veyk does possess ambition, and he desires fame, fortune and power. He believes the best way to accomplish his goals is to become a member of the new generation of post-War adventurers.
Lastly, Veyk has a strong belief in the Traveller, wholeheartedly subscribing to the theory of the deitys creation of his race. He resents the Traveller being lumped together with the other five members of the Dark Six.
Background: One of the many born in the Cyran capital of Metrol, Veyk led a mostely unnoteworthy life until he was recruited by a member of the Cyran diplomatic corps. In that capacity, he travelled all over Khorvaire, learning many things, acting as both an extra pair of eyes and occasionally a spy for his employer. During this time, he also aquired several of his alternate identities.
Thanks to his job, Veyk was outside Cyre on the Day of Mourning, taking part in negotiations preceding the Treaty of Thronehold two years later. He was fortunate to be a member of a race that embraces starting new lives and alter egoes, but he still felt the loss of his homeland very deeply. One day, he plans to go back to Metrol, to reclaim it.
In the last few years, Veyk has travelled the Five Nations, practicing other languages and studying the histories of the various peoples. Unfortunately, he has also burnt through much of the money he made during his service. Veyk almost settled in New Cyre, but at the last moment he decided to head to Sharn in search of adventure.

Appearance: Khuther is a quite talland slim for a dwarf to be. He has long darkred hair in a thik plait that reaches him to the waist, he wears a short bear but witha huge and long mustache that he stuffs back his ears. Illander has grey hair cut off at shoulder length. He is simply dressed in sturdy clothes and stout shoes. He doesn't appear wealthy, but keeps is attire as clean as possible. He has his quarterstaff in hand and his crossbow is tucked away on his back. His psycristal is usually hidden from view under his shirt.

To outsiders Illander appears very cold, seldom showing emotions. Amongst Kalashtar that suspicion and distrust completely disappears, as if casting of a cloak. He doesn't really trust outsiders, but knows that he must cooperate with them. Once his trust is won, he becomes a staunch ally.
Background:
Illander was born to the war with the Riedrans, as are all Kalashtar. He started displaying his psionic talent at the age of 12, and received training in the monastery of snowy valley in Adar. He was too restless for monastic life, and petitioned and received permission to wander around the continent, visiting different communities and looking for a more suitable lifestyle.
Appearance: Samarik usually wears a black hooded robe over his armor, and when he put down his hood he looks like a grizzled outdoorsman. He rarely puts down his hood.
Personality: Samarik falls into the catagory 'strong and silent' when around outsiders, and rarely lets down his guard. He has a powerful glance, and will closely examine the person he speaks to before he says anything.
Background: Samarik has a fractured memory; he can remember his youth dimly, but his last memory was of his 16th birthday with his woodscutter father. After that, attempting to remember what happened is like diving into a black nightmare. His most recent memories emerge him as a 23-year old man, lost deep in the shattered wilderness of Eberron. After taking odd jobs and eventually doing mercenary work, he now has the basic resorces to go into business for himself, with the twin goals of discovering his future, and also his past.

Rafeek has the light orange skin, deep red eyes, and matted black hair. He has the flat face and broad nose typical of his race. His skin is covered with multiple scars some ritual and some not. He wears a chainshirt beneath a dirty set of travellers clothes. A well-worn greatsword and pack are strapped across his back.
Personality:
Rafeek is quiet keeping his scheming and worrisome thoughts to himself. He fidgets constantly always trying to keep himself from being cornered. He lives in constant fear of being sent back to Droaam to live as a slave.
Background:
Rafeek was born into slavery in the Shadowmarches. Before the age of 3 his orc slavemasters were killed or captured themselves by an Ogre raiding party from nearby Droaam. He grew up in the service of another slave, an old dwarf blacksmith named Roodkerk, who eventually took Rafeek on as an apprentice. Less than a decade after his training began Roodkerk passed away. He urged Rafeek to attempt escape before he ended his days in slavery. After numerous attempts and countless near deaths Rafeek finally escaped and wandered his way East until reaching the Brelish city of Ardev and eventually Sharn. He has spent most of his time since dodging other goblinoid races and eaking out a
living as a minor blacksmith.

Appearance:Calren is what many would point to as a typical example of a Talenta Halfling. His skin is deeply tanned from days spent in the sun, and while his face is still fairly young, he already shows signs of wrinkles and other sun damage. His long, wavy black hair is tied back and braided with strips of leather. He is dressed head to toe in dinosaur leather; Leather shirt covered with a short sleeved studded leather 'coat', leather breeches, leather weapon harness, and black leather boots. While he appears to try to keep clean, he inevitably has a layer of dust on his clothes and hair, and he can never seem to completely erase the slightly spicy sweet smell of the dinosaurs he trains. The hunter's mask he carries is decorated to resemble that of his mount. All markings linking his tribe have been removed.
He is usually seen on the back of his clawfoot mount, Ghostsnout. Ghostsnout is a typical clawfoot that Calren has raised from the egg. He receives his name from his white muzzle, but is otherwise a fairly solid chestnut color. Calren typically rides Ghostsnout whenever possible, so long as there's room.
Personality: Calren, while a pleasant enough fellow, always seemed a bit reserved around his family and tribesmen. Truth be told, he often felt more in common with the dinosaurs he raised and trained then with his fellow Halflings. They were certainly more predictable, in any case. Usually quiet, he can go on for hours when it comes to stories about 'his' dinosaurs. Ghostsnout is the first clawfoot he raised by himself and Calren tends to baby him a bit more then many consider healthy. Calren loves seeing new sites and sounds, and thus has always had a bit of wanderlust in him. When experiencing new things, he can be a bit naive and overly trusting. He stays clear of any mention of his tribe.
Background:According to Calren's tribe, every so often a Halfling is born with a stronger connection to the spirits. They are able to tame the most unruly beasts and forge bonds with their mounts stronger then any else. Calren was one of these. From an early age he showed a natural touch with dinosaurs, often getting along with them better then with other people. As he grew, he quickly became one of the best riders in his tribe and a skilled warrior, unfortunately, he shared a difference of opinion with the tribal Lath, who was a strict traditionalist. While many of the tribe shared their lath's opinions about the outside world, Calren was one of a vocal minority who believed that the outside world had as many benefits as pitfalls, and that they could incorporate this into the tribe without diluting the nature of their traditions.
The boiling point came after a House Ghallanda diplomatic party was denied access to their camp. Calren was fascinated with them, and snuck out of the camp to discuss the outside world with them. THey, in turn, were impressed with his talent and skill when he demonstrated certain techniques on their pack animals, the leader of the group even offering him a job. When he came back to the camp, he found the lath waiting for him, infuriated with him for talking with the outsiders. After a particularly heated argument, Calren came to blows with the lath. While Calren was a natural talent and excellent warrior, the lath had the benefit of years of experience and soundly beat the young halfling. Rather then take this defeat as the learning experience the lath had meant, it only served to strength Calren's resolve. In the dead of the night, Calren snuck out of camp, stole some pack animals and supplies from the lath, and met with the Ghallanda party.
Since then he has been wandering around Khorvaire, seeing the sights and hoping his tribe doesnt seek him out. While he feels a bit apologetic about the theft, he no longer has the items in question, selling them off for supplies and better gear. He has recently decided to visit Sharn as he heard many things about it.

She has only one eye. Her body is covered with thin scars, most of them from self-inflicted wounds. Her hair is usually bound up in a thick tail.
Background:
Kari was the daughter of a commoner cook running an Inn. At the age of 12, she was kidnapped by a wizard who removed one of her eyes to use as a component in a spell. The pain and bloodletting of this trauma awakened a latent psychic ability that allowed her to manifest a mindblade. In the Afterlife the Wizard still gets quite a bit of ribbing about being killed by a badly wounded 12-year old girl, and for not bothering to tie his hostage up.
Kari was able to make her way home but her mind was permanently warped by the experience, Kari has a strange relationship with pain and uses it to focus herself psionically, if no wounds are available from enemies Kari will inflict them on herself to get the pain she requires. While Kari is selfless and kind to (most) others, she's extremely brutal and sadistic towards percieved enemies, which prevents her from being a strictly good person. Kari has a strong dislike of arcane spellcasters, and while she will work with them if needed she prefers not to and has studied into increasing her agility to get past defenders and attack enemy spellcasters as quickly as possible.

Appearance: Guardian's adamantine plates are polished to a blue-black sheen, and decorated with intricate shield designs and piping inlaid in silver. The wood portions of his frame are made from cherrywood. Two glowing, smooth, polished blue sapphires set into his helm shaped skull serve as his eyes. He wears a finely crafted silver amulet in the shape of a shield on a steel chain around his neck.
Personality: Guardian is a male personality type warforged that has been active for a few years, having served briefly in the last war. He is driven by an intense desire to defend others (a lingering result of the experiment that created him), seeing order and law to usually be the best way to accomplish that. He is friendly to those he understands to be law-abiding, and is most comfortable with a group of said friends.
Background: Guardian was created as an experiment in combining various golem creation methods with the warforged creation process. In Guardian's specific case, his creation incorporated a significant portion of the process involved in the construction of a Shield Guardian. While not entirely considered to be a failed experiment, his creators were disappointed enough that they sold him to Breland's military forces where he was used as a bodyguard for tactical personnel. Guardian found that he had a talent for battle, and happily performed well in his assigned role. After the war, Guardian was cut loose as a free entity, and wandered around trying to find a place in the world. Given the still lingering ill-will towards warforged that many people hold, he found that his options were very limited. After hearing about the Tower's Shard and the adventurers there, he has decided that maybe as an adventurer he can find a place.

Personality: Gimble is an inquisitive soul, always wanting to know how things work. He is a genius, but tries not to make a big deal of it, saying that it's a gift from Onatar.
Background: Gimble Niffledorn is an exceptionally gifted member of the Niffledorn family; a family that is not particularly known for anything. He attended the Drystone College of Engineering at the Library of Korranberg, where he excelled. After graduation, he made his way to Sharn, to make a name for himself and his family in the world. Someday, he hopes the Niffledorn name will be well known in Zilargo, and Khorvaire.
