She stands at an imposing 5ft. The imposing part comes from her poise and expression. Although, the toothy grin doesn't hurt. Her dark skin is a sharp contrast the the sheer volumes of wild orange hair mostly located on the top of her head. She wears tribal leathers that protect her vital areas though keeps most of her arms and legs bare. Also, she currently carries a hand carved quarter staff.
Personality:
When Shade feels at home, she can my loud boarish and fun loving. For now she will be introverted. Still new to the world outside her tribe.

Backstory: Sin loves to talk about herself in her assumed forms, but very little of what she says has more than a minor basis in fact. What is certain is that she seems most comfortable as Melusine ir'Aundair, her usual form. Some say that it is the one of many assumed names that is actually legitimately hers. Those rumours, however unlikely they seem, are fact. In truth, young Melusine would have been killed when she was discovered as a Changeling (and thus her vanished father was exposed as either a Doppleganger or Changeling himself) if not for the love of her mother, a lesser member of the royal house of Aundair. Still, mother's wishes or no, the other close relatives who knew the secret were adamant that it wouldn't do to actually heir an estate to such a...thing. So as a compromise to letting her live, Melusine was eliminated from the succession of her mother's estate, which would default it to her uncle if her mother dies. Insulted by what she took as a slight, Melusine, who had acted quite the lady for much of her early life, allowed her Changeling nature to surface more and more, and thus Sin was born. Eventually, this led to a wanderlust for new experiences and new lives, and so Sin set forth from Melusine's pampered life to become a mover and shaker in the adventuring world and a master manipulator of others.

Concept:
Thral'k is planned as a fusion of warlock and scout. Skirmish + eldritch blast have some interesting possibilities. If they are approved, I may explore his fiendish heritage through appropriate heritage feats.
Appearance:
Thral'k looks like a pygmy lizardman with large eyes and a head crest. His natural color is a dusky green with pale red underbelly, but this changes ever-so-slightly with the light and surrounds.
Personality:
Thral'k is a skulker. He fades into the background, not saying much. He considers himself and his people superior to others, but knows to keep such things to himself in the Outside. He prefers to assess a situation and strike when it is to his best advantage.
Background:
Thral'k is a devoted follower of the fiendish dragon Rhashaak, and has always felt a special bound to the powers that infuse Haka'torvhak. He despises the interolopers who now infest Q'Barra, but was crafty enough to learn their ways. He acted as a scout for the fools, finding all that he could about them. He learned so much that he now lives among them on the Outside, far from home. Ostensibly, it is so he can find out all he can about the interlopers so he can eventually return home and stop them. However, unconsciously, he hopes to gain even more power so that he can wrest it from those that currently rule his clan.
A Simple Job
Thral'k escorted a caravan through the wilderness to Wroat. It carried stones from the Progenitors, and he was able to liberate one.
Just a Treasure Hunt?
Thral'k is lead on a wild chase through the jungles of Xen'drik to find a powerful schema. Evil brothers, broodish drow, and mysterious dopplegangers make the lizard appreciate his superiority.

Appearance, Personality, and Background
Appearance:
Sirrel favors simple scholastic robes in dark brown or blue for most occasions. Her hair reaches to the middle of her shoulder-blades when unbound, but she typically wears it in a single, thick braid. She uses prestidigation to remove the inkstains from her fingers as often as she remembers to, which is not nearly often enough. Her glasses have thin gold rims. Her eyes are pale blue. She moves with the careful slowness of someone with all the time in the world, but this impression of control melts when something excites her. She generally appears amused unless preoccupied or curious.
The Mark of Scribing appears an inch below her collarbone, about two inches to the left of her sternum. It is visible if she wears even a slightly low-necked garment, but is hidden by her typical robes.
Personality:
Sirrel is generally easygoing and phlegmatic. She seldom loses her temper, and when pushed often simply ignores the pusher and does what she was planning to do anyway. Her world divides neatly into two camps: the interesting and the tedious. A great many things interest her, and she has an almost childlike enthusiasm toward them. On the other hand, there are various tedious things, and tedious people, which one must endure in order to get at the interesting ones. Sirrel puts up with these with good grace, and always tries to see the humor in them. While she affects a casual, worldly experience, she is still very young and sheltered, and retains a slightly unrealistic idealism.
Background:
Sirrel was born the fifth child in a minor branch of the Torralyn family of House Sivis. Her parents are speaking stone operators in a Sivis enclave in Trolanport, and general nonparticipants in the political games which pervade Sivis life. Indeed, Sirrel's family life might have been entirely uneventful but for her upwardly-mobile Uncle Jadsen, whose ambitions included not only his own advancement, but that of his immediate family, including his nieces and nephews. He prided himself on arranging good positions for Sirrel's sister and three brothers when each first manifested the Mark of Scribing.
Sirrel had not manifested the Mark by her 45th birthday, and expressed an interest in scholarship, so Jadsen decided that she could best serve her house by studying something prestigious. Much to her chagrin, he insisted that she attend Morgrave University, reasoning that House Sivis could always use more contacts in Sharn. Otherwise, however, her four older and more qualified siblings ensured that she would be left alone.
In spite of her poor expectations, and the Morgrave's unsavory reputation, Sirrel flourished there for several years, rapidly developing an interest in the wide range of archaeological projects going on there. However, her period of apolitical tranquility was destined not to last. All three of Sirrel's brothers were working in a Sivis enclave in Cyre on the Day of Mourning. In the wake of the tragedy, it became clear that Sirrel, now one of only two siblings, would soon be drawn back into Uncle Jadsen's plans.
To make matters more complicated, her Mark of Scribing appeared scarcely a week after the disaster, perhaps a manifestation of her desire to contact her forever-unreachable siblings. In the years since, she has been careful to avoid revealing the mark, in the hopes of buying a little more obscurity, but she knows this can't go on indefinitely. She is currently desperate to find a project useful enough to justify her continued presence at Morgrave, prestigious enough to give her the pull needed to decide her own immediate future, or simply profitable enough to enable her to afford to continue schooling without being indebted to her uncle. In short, she is in need of adventure.

Background:
Benedict Reynold is born a small town near the broder of Darguun. During the Last War, his town was containing a barrack for the troops that was guarding the borders. Son of an officier, Benedict had learned what the first son of a Cyre officier should learn: arts and warefare. Practicing the traditional dance, learning to draw, both for artistic goal and to draw maps, learn to weild the basic weapons and to lead a small troop. He passes his childhood in the city, knowing little of the world.
So he was in the city when the Day of the Mourning arrived. His town was one of the last to be stiked by the arcane blast that devastated his homeland. He was in a watchtower, taking advantage of the sight to draw something when he saw something he couldn't described coming toward them... from inside the country. He frozed and stared at it and it took the alarm bell to awake him from his trance. He quickly climb down. Following his father's order, he hide into a subterran cache where the food reserves were gather for freshness. The sounds of panick suddenly stops at the same time a tremor shaked the ground. After fifteen minutes, he dared to look outside. As he looked outside, instead of seeing the kitchen where the trap led, he was staring at ruins. He quickly exit his hideout and start top search for survivor. None survived in the barrack. Most of the population of his town were killed. Less than an hundread survivors.
The day after, a troop arrived. They were on patrol in Darguun. These twenty men take control of the situation, gathered the wounded and started to walk toward Zilargo, in hope to find shelter, but they were turned away. It is in Breland that they found a refugee camp.
The next year was just suffering. His people was ignored by the other nations. When the treaty finally get signed, Benedict lost all his hope in the rulers. He decided to do the only thing he was good, the only thing he knew to do, warfare. Becoming a mercenary, he start to travel the world, blasé by the leaders, only seeking to give the help he never got from the others.

Appearance:
Arvan’s long golden hair is often braided in a traditional Flamewatcher warrior style. He has penetrating ice blue eyes, much like his mother, and he casts an imposing, chiseled figure. His dress is simple and functional, and his clothing stands out as one not from the fine tailors of Korvairre. He appears young, and his well-tanned skin bares few of the scars and signs that most associate with a barbarian, but his mannerisms can key off observers that he is not from Korvairre if his clothing were not already an indication. Personality:
Arvan has a forceful personality, but he generally is more an observer than one who interacts. He is skilled in presenting a formidable front in all things. He is slow and plodding mentally, generally structured in how he goes about things, which is the only way he knows. Arvan is aware of himself and his tribe first and foremost, and his actions are often dictated on what he sees as benefiting him the most, either now or in the future.
Background:
Arvan’s father was Warlord of the Flamewatchers for many years, till an injury allowed his rule to be successfully challenged. Honnan the Cleaver was well respected, and even when he was no longer the formidable warrior and Warlord he had once been, he was a well-respected elder and authority in the tribe. Honnan’s wife and Arvan’s, Arrana Winterwind, was a gift to the Warlord early in his reign from the Frostblades, and her exotic beauty, powerful sorcery, and sharp mind helped offer Honnan steady advice during his rule, and had earned him respect and envy.
Arvan sought to be a warrior like his father, but found he had a powerful connection to the arcane, much like his mother. While his intellect fell well short of either parent, his intuition and personal drive helped him blend his warrior and sorcerous arts. He showed a canny innate ability to blend both, and was on his way to being regarded as a fine warrior in his own right.
Arvan felt a strong connection to the dragons, with affinities to his abilities with fire, and hands that began to appear oddly misshapen, as he grew older. When he became of age, like all those in his tribe, he attended the Initiation, a ritual where the Dragonspeakers looked for the potential in those reaching adulthood, and where their tribal title of honor is chosen. Much to Arvan’s surprise, the eldest Dragonspeaker, Gorron the Brasstongue, picked him out. Arvan followed Gorron away, and spent the next two weeks alone with the elder Dragonspeaker.
Gorron told Arvan that some of the Flamewatchers had blood from The Founder (the legendary Brass Dragon who founded the tribe), and Arvan was indeed one of them. Gorron had received a vision that had told him to choose Arvan, and that his blood as well as his arcane talent would make him an excellent Dragonspeaker, but as all speakers, he must first partake of a journey to prove his worth and learn what the Dragons wished of him to properly speak for them.
Arvan studied what texts he could, and learned Draconic quickly for someone of his limited intellect. Grasping for direction from what he knew, he set his sights on a journey to a distant land. Honnan gifted him with the axe Honnan’s father gave him on his Initiation, Arrana gifted him with several gems to fund his travels, and before he left, Gorron told Arvan that his journey may lead him back and away again, as his vision was of a wiser and older Arvan leaving. Arvan nodded, and promised to bring back word from the distant land, and return when he learned something of the voices of the Dragons. The day Arvan left his tribe, he knew only that his travels would take him far, but how far he might never have imagined…

Seren Tribe: The Flamewatchers were founded by a lawful neutral brass dragon. It is a rather small tribe that covets information and positions of strength. Their knowledge and ties to present a strong face to rival tribes, which has allowed them to avoid numerous conflicts. Highly literate and with a high percentage of dragonspeakers among them, they have also produced a number of notable warriors who use their minds to augment their already notable fighting ability. The tribe as a whole is much happier when it can stay out of conflict and simply observe it.

Appearance: Aethelus is a good looking, if short human. He has long slick brown hair that he keeps tied back in a pony tail. He keeps himself clean shaven around the beard, but does sport a long thin mustache. He typically wears well tailored clothing befitting his station in House Cannith's Fabricators Guild. His eyes are a light grey with green tones. His clothing always includes some green of some sort both to bring out the green in his eyes and to show his affiliation with the house. His equipment is always well cared for and maintained, even his club which is more of a highly polished walking stick featuring a gorgon's head on the handle.
Personality: Aethelus is a charmer, he always has the right thing to say, though he has a very dry wit. Jokes and common sense are sometimes slightly out of his grasp, which has sometimes landed him in trouble. He is well spoken and educated and it often comes out in the way he speaks. Secretly he hides a terrible fear that people will think him a charlatan or a fake. Little white lies creep into his stories when his fears manifest and he can never keep them straight.
Background: Aethelus is a member of the Fabricator's Guild in House Cannith. He is noble born with a keen ability with magical items. While he has not manifested a mark yet his family has high hopes as both his father and grandfather did before him. Sadly his parents were in Metrol on the Day of Mourning, as were both his sisters. He had been sent to the Sharn enclave after a particularly bad social gaff during one of the Queen's balls. He had only just arrived in the foreign city when hostilities between Breland and Cyre ignited again. Being a member of one of the Dragonmarked Houses proved to be his salvation as many Cyrites were imprisoned, beaten, or publicly humiliated.
It took Aethelus little time to get over the loss of his parents as he has little compassion for even his own family. When factions started to rise within the House, he was solidly on the side of Baron Merrix d'Cannith in Cannith South having grown quite attached to the posh life he was able to live in the House enclave in the Dragon Towers. Without his connections in Metrol or a mark of his own though he has had to work hard for that life in the Guild. He longs for a return to the pomp and pleasure of noble life and has decided that adventuring would be a good way to make some quick Galifars. Appareance:
Despite being quite young, Tam has the appearance of a quite older one, with sparse long hair only in the back of his head, stretched skin, small eyes and yellow teeth. At first appearance, he's too spindly and fragile to make a good warrior, but once in action he proves to be both fast and strong with his wicked polearm.
Background:
In the neverending search for "secret weapons" in the last stages of the last war, Breland tried a psionics-oriented training program, one specialty it could call yours to counter Cyre's increasing warforged production, presence of undead in Karrnath armies, or he clerical might of Thrane. Soon it became clear that psion of psychic warrior weren't at war more effective than regular fighters or wizards, not to mention that the available number of them skilled enough to teach others was very small and many of them, being mostly of Kalashtar origin, not interested in war. Trying to salvage the program, the focus changed to an intent of reinforcing Breland's secret services, with mixed results.
However, as soon the war officially ended, financing for this and many other programs decreased or was completely cut. With his training uncompleted, tam Aritz returned to civil life, sharing with warforged the fate of being released into a world he's not made for.

Personality: He is a bit of a loner, and rarely smiles. He always seems to be sad.
Background: Frederick is a artificer that served with the Cyran army during the war. He was assigned to a unit of Warforged as a repair officer. His unit was on a special mission behind Karrnathi lines during the day of Mourning. His unit was captured, and he spend some time as a prisoner of war in Korth. After the war, he was released from the prisoner of war camp and made his way to New Cyre, but he could not bear to be so close to his homeland. He made his way across Breland to Sharn, hoping to lose himself in the masses in this big city.

Before you stands a short, muscled elf. He wears colourful, flowing silk robes that allow easy movement. When working he changes his colourfull robes for more subdued tones suitable for stealth, with his chainshirt underneath to muffle the sounds. He wears a hood and a cowl, and goes armed with a scimitar. His Recurved longbow and quiver are strapped to his back, and he has a dagger to his side.
Personality:
Latharion likes a good laugh, a nice beer and pleasant company. He lives life to the max, trying to get as many hours in a day as possible. He has left his clan for a life as an adventurer, following in the footsteps of his revered ancestor, Latharion Farstrider. He goes where fortune takes him, and will only return when he feels the time is right.
Background:
Latharion served in the war as a a scout and 'behind the lines' fighter, disrupting enemy installations and interfering with enemy logistics. Appearance: Slim and tallish for a half-elf, Cahaldross ('Cahal' to his friends) is the epitome of a Lyrandar scion. He wears his blonde hair long, and when not involved in difficult work, it is styled in the latest Stormhome fashion. While Cahal enjoys dressing in the finery of the noble courts, he is no worthless dandy; while working on a new creation he is just as likely to be found wearing a simple tunic and apron, with soot and magical powders dirtying his pretty-boy face.
When armed for combat, he carries an excellently-crafted crossbow that is etched with a stylized kraken running down its length; the arms of the crossbow are shaped to resemble the two largest tentacles of the kraken.
Personality: Born to a life of wealth, he has always been fascinated with the sea and the sky, and the tempestuous young Khoravar's personality reflects those twin influences. His emotions boil over easily, although he is slowly learning to show a face as undisturbed as the ocean. Like the ocean, he has deeper secrets than initially suspected, and he does not
reveal those secrets easily.
Background: Cahaldross d'Lyrandar was born almost three decades ago on the island of Stormhome. His parents are considered influential inside the House, as they both bore dragonmarks of varying strength and were capable administrators, and they were unsurprised (but overjoyed) when Cahal manifested a dragonmark during his Test of Siberys.
The half-elf had a quick mind and a quicker tongue, and his tutors noticed that he easily grasped the arcane concepts necessary to bind magic to objects. As House Lyrandar has slowly attempted to wean itself of its reliance on the artificers of House Cannith, Cahal traveled to the lands of the gnomes, and studied under the best engineers and artificers of Zilargo.
Cahal spent a decade learning how to construct the elemental ships that are
the lifeblood of House Lyrandar. Upon his return home, he eagerly joined the Windwright's Guild and embarked on several elemental galleons and airships, putting his knowledge to the benefit of the House.
During his apprenticeship, Cahal proved his loyalty to House Lyrandar time and time again. As he took leave of his official duties to the House, he took up a task given to him by those higher in the House: to keep an eye open for any opportunity to improve the House's standing and to report back to them periodically. It was a task given to many scions as they journeyed through Khorvaire, and it was one that Cahal eagerly accepted.
His journeys have now brought him to Sharn. The young Khorvar is handsome, rich, and ready for trouble. He has taken lodgings far from the Lyrandar Enclave in the hopes of making a name for himself - after all, the more useful he is to the House, the more the House will be useful to him.

Appearance: Despite his attempts to look the part of the suave artist, Rolan is a rough looking human who looks like he'd be more likely to throw a punch than recite an epic poem. He has a reasonable collection of battle scars for a novice and possesses rough 'chiselled' features that to be fair do lend him a sort of rugged, if thuggish, charm. For instance, despite going out of his way to shave every day (at least in the city) Roland can never seem to be rid of his stubble, which combined with his short cut but unmanageable sand-blond hair contribute much to his appearance.
When not expecting trouble, Rolan most commonly wears a cheap, if frilly, cotton shirt clearly designed to look more expensive than it really is. The shirt obscures his Dragonmark, a bright red brand that covers his right forearm (and which Roland further conceals with bandages, claiming it to be a war wound), at least until he calls upon its power, when the pulsating red light it emits shines through the thin cotton of his shirt and the carefully wrapped bandages. Along with his shirt he wears a light brown overcoat and trousers designed, once again, to imitate noble fashions.
In spite his rough appearance, Rolan has one saving grace: his voice. Rolan's acting ability marks him as a professional but it is his singing that will make or break his reputation. Since reviving his aberrant mark, Rolan's previously rough singing has gained a sinister yet strangely addictive edge. His voice is the seductive whisper of the Dragon Below, his singing laced with a strange aura of sadness, fury or vague fear that seems to tug at the soul and that not even Rolan understands the source of.
Personality:
When on the job, or in a relatively safe environment, Rolan is cheerful and outgoing. He knows enough of his craft to act the part, and tends to play the debonair rogue whose coarse exterior belies a poetic soul. This is mostly an act; in dangerous situations Rolan is a grim survivalist who would far rather escape with his life (and that of his friends) than worry about how brave he looks. While his motivations are considerably nobler these days, old habits die hard and Rolan is not above resorting to violence to get what he wants, though he's loath to do so if other opportunities present themselves.
Background: Raised an orphan in Metrol, Rolan was quite happy to use his fists to get by rather than resort to begging, until an failed attempt to mug a bard claiming to be of the Cabinet of Faces inspired him to abandon crime and try and build a new life for himself. Attempting to make it big as a street performer and occasional actor. Rolan was mediocre at best and could never quite leave his old reputation behind, and after being framed for theft by a rival was eventually conscripted into the Cyran army in lieu of long-term imprisonment.
As a soldier Rolan was unexceptional, though by no means bad. While he never rose above corporal, he did survive enough battles to see much of Khorvaire, and in one uncharacteristically daring moment he earned his sole medal for bravery, which he still treasures to this day.
Like most Cyrans it was the Day of Mourning that marked him, though in Rolan's case the mark was literal. On leave at the Brelish border on Cyre's last day, Roland was on the very edge of the killing mists. Whether it was because of destiny, supernatural intervention or simply the fact that he was standing a few feet further to the west than every other person on the western edge of the town, Rolan survived the day of Mourning with only an agonising burning sensation in his arm, while his comrades where struck dead all around him. When Rolan came to, his newly formed aberrant mark was slowly growing over his forearm, pulsating with a sickly red energy that felt like fire and lasted for several days before finally cooling.
Making his way into Breland, Rolan turned once again to street performance to augment his begging and discovered his mark's subtler gift, the gift of bardsong. Scarred by the fall of his homeland and the death of his friends, Rolan swore to himself that he would use his gifts to aid his fallen homeland, even if they would cost him his soul. Rolan still doesn't know whether to be thankful or terrified of his new power over music, which he terms the 'voice of Khyber', but his desire to rise above the destruction of his homeland and build a new life for himself has driven him to Sharn.

Appearance: Sporting red hair and beard, Craw keeps both brushed and braided out of the way. He takes care to keep his equipment and clothes clean when convenience allows. Bathes slightly more frequently than most dwarves.
Personality: Downright verbose for a dwarf, Craw is prone to exaggertion, particularly when describing his own deeds over ale. An avid rock collector, Craw will eagerly bore a listener into a stupor describing in minutae the type of rock and where it was found.
Background: Second son of an armorsmith in the Mror holds, Craw's older brother, not he, was due to inherit the family forge. Craw learned the trade of armorsmithing, but always knew his destiny lay on the road. He did a stint with his clan's militia but seemed to butt heads with the captain over weapon choice. Craw's empassioned defense of the warhammer ended his stint in the militia. During a raid by goblins, Craw got into a running argument with his captain over the relative merits of the warhammer versus the waraxe. Craw's dissertation ended with a bellowed "If it's good enough fer Onatar, it be good enough fer me!" Punctuated with the splashing of a goblin skull. At that, the Captain sent him packing to the priest of Onatar, figuring Craw was God-touched. Onatar's priest sensed that Craw needed to travel and come to Onatar under his own terms and sent him onto the road with Onatar's blessing.

Appearance: Lorinal is a small, wirey shifter that seems to be in a place of calmness. He tries (though often unsucessfully) to keep his hair somewhat combed and his

Appearance:A fairly pretty, if somewhat ragged, girl on the verge of adulthood, largely unexceptional provided she keeps her aberrant mark concealed. The mark takes the form of a red and purple network of vein-like lines on the right side of her head that stretch from her scalp down the back of her neck. She usually keeps the hood of her cloak up to avoid having to show the mark. She wears a deep purple psicrystal around her neck as an amulet, and occasionally clasps it in her hands while talking to herself when she thinks no one is looking.
Personality:Alternating between worn-down cynic, youthful but air-headed optimist and frantic paranoiac depending on her mood, Ambra’s shifting personalities hide a deep intellect, though she is reluctant to acknowledge the fact, fearing that much of her knowledge and power is inextricably tied to the taint of Xoriat. Whatever her mood she is driven by a deep-seated compulsion to seek knowledge and cannot abide the idea of secrets being kept from her.
Background: Ambra was just another orphan of war who ran away to the city in search of a better life. What she found in the depths of Sharn was pain, death, an aberrant mark, a handful of psionic power and a brief glimpse into the raw essence of madness itself.
Ambra’s childhood was an odd one, though bereft of a few particulars it wouldn’t be too different from many in Eberron. Her mother was a human merchant, her father a Kalashtar who had forsaken the struggle of his people and settled down into a ‘normal’ existence as a farmer, to raise Ambra and her older, Kalashtar brother Brye (Bryharath). Her father vanished when she was small, leaving no trace of his whereabouts. Had a kalashtar cared to comment, she would likely say he had been killed by the Dreaming Dark. As it was his fate was a mystery.
Ambra’s mother earned enough money to support her family, but the nature of her profession meant she was absent for long periods of time, leaving Ambra and Brye in the care of various family friends. Ambra’s mother disappeared on the day of Mourning, presumed dead like so many others. When the remainder of her mother’s money ran out, and the villagers that had raised them could no longer afford to keep them, Ambra and her brother were forced out.
Given their limited choices, Brye opted to take his sister to Sharn, figuring at the very least he could find some kind of work there. As foul chance would have it, they were abducted within a day of entering the city gates, to be the latest sacrifices of the cult of the Dragon Below.
What followed could only be described as torture. Ambra’s last memories of Brye are seeing him being dragged, screaming, to the altar of Khyber while she was taken into the inner sanctum of the temple. There she spent days in captivity, occasionally taken out to be inspected by the cult’s master, an Illithid envoy of the Lords of Madness. The mind flayer appeared to be conducting some kind of experiment, forcing Ambra to imbibe various potions, gaze into various crystals that offered horrifying glimpses of Xoriat and gradually awakened her latent psionic powers. It was during the last and most powerful of these visions that Ambra’s aberrant mark manifested.
Ambra does not remember much about the event itself, when she regained her senses after her vision she had apparently escaped the temple, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake, withher newly-formed aberrant mark burned into the side of her head.
She hasn’t seen anything of the cult since that day, though she lives in terror of the thought that they will one day hunt her down again and she is still tormented by visions of Xoriat. With each nightmare, her psionic powers gradually grow stronger, so much so that she recently managed to create a psicrystal, into which she poured the fear and paranoia that plagued her life since that day, allowing her to regain some semblance of sanity.
Since then, Ambra has resolved to use her powers to carve out a niche for herself, with the intent of becoming an Inquisitive, and solving both the mysteries of her past and those of others.

Kaerreske - Kae, to almost everybody - is a striking physical presence. She is not traditionally beautiful. Her features are too bold and chiselled, her jaw too strong, her brow too thickset. Yet with her curvaceous figure (moved with an expert, calculated sway), her long raven black hair, and her eyes like hot coals, she has a powerfully alluring and dominating presence that transcends those imperfections and even makes them into assets. She dresses exotically in worn brown leather studded with metal, and a deep scarlet cloak. The outfit is further adorned by a black skirt cut at a severe slant so that it reaches the calf on her right leg but only the thigh on her left, revealing an intricate pattern tattooed in blue ink that sprawls across her leg from the upper thigh down to the knee. A dagger hangs at her belt, and her left hand grips the wooden shaft of a shortspear.
Personality:
Kae's view of the world is simple enough, shaped by a harsh childhood spent in a near-lawless society ruled by bullies and petty tyrants. You take what you can, and you give nothing away. You prey upon others, or else you are preyed upon. Morality is an irrelevance - a tool of hypocrites or a crutch for the powerless.
She has learned to thrive within such a world, to lull others into a sense of security and to use every advantage at her command. Where so many others demean themselves with simple thuggery, she triumphs with grace and subtlety. Her pride in that is considerable, and with that pride comes a certain sadistic pleasure in her victories. She has slim mercy or compassion for those she sees as weak.
As for the visible face she presents to the world, it is entirely engaging and likeable. She is warm, outgoing, passionate and vivacious, a pleasure to be around.
Background:
Kae grew up in a small band of orcs and half-orcs who roamed the eastern plains of Droaam, south of where Greywall now stands. Her mother was a half-orcish witch of the clan, her father a Karrn agent sent to stir monstrous warbands into action against Brelish settlements. He moved on swiftly enough after crossing paths with Kae's mother, never knowing he had fathered a daughter. Life was not easy for any of the children born into the band; from the earliest age they were expected to care for themselves and to pull their weight. Weaklings had no place. For Kae, only a quarter orcish, it was even harder. She was viewed with the utmost suspicion and disdain, meeting with some measure of grudging acceptance only because of the respect and fear inspired by her mother's dark magics.
It quickly became clear that she had inherited some measure of talent for those same powers. She received little attention and less encouragement from her mother, but began to grow into her abilities regardless. She grew confident and brash as the derision of the other children began to turn into fear and avoidance.
In time perhaps she could have displaced her mother and achieved real respect and power within the clan - but such a goal hardly appealed to her. From the early years of her adolescence she was aware of a growing feeling of dissatisfaction with her small and brutish world. She was convinced that she deserved more. The change engendered by the growing ascendancy of the Daughters of Sora Kell inflamed that feeling further, inspiring her with the feeling that the rest of the world was filled with exciting events and experiences and opportunities. Meanwhile in her own sorry clan, nothing was changing. There was no dynamism, no room for ambition or growth. When she learned of the new city of Graywall she left her band without a word and arrived there within a few days, tired and dishevelled but convinced that a new and better life was awaiting her.
It wasn't long before she realised how much more she enjoyed the company of the human and other visitors to the city, rather than the crude and graceless natives of Droaam. And so, it was only a matter of time before she made the decision to seek her fortune further east still, in the kingdom of Breland.
