Both attacks against Thief 1 miss, though he is Marked. Master Thief takes a big hit as you dish out 17 damage to it. Poor Thief 5 is surrounded and getting pummeled like crazy. You hit him for 8 damage, which negates his temporary hit points and give 2 more. Good thinking with the shift and use of Sweeping Blow, you gave yourself a perfect setup to deal a lot of damage. Good job!
Badguy status and PC Resources
Thief 1: Has taken 14 damage and is Marked by Grryth.
Thief 2: Dead... no longer marked by Grryth, lol.
Thief 3: Dead
Thief 4: Perfect Condition
Thief 5: Currently at 17 damage. Has used his Warforged Resolve but has no temp HP left. Is Marked by Grryth.
Thief 6: Has used his Warforged Resolve and has 6 temp HP.
Master Thief: Has taken 17 damage. Is Marked by Grryth.
Salesman: Has taken 7 damage.
"Ha ha! Nice move, that!" Gurdan bellows appreciatively to Grryth. The (successful) attack from his enemy barely registers as he shouts "Let's see what I've got in my bag of tricks..."
Gurdan swings his warhammer in a wide circle, and the area all around him becomes craggly as the very earth sends a miniature quake up from the ground (OOC Round 2: Hungry Earth hits thief 1 Fort 15, thief 5 Fort 25 for 14 damage. Regardless of hit/miss, all squares adjacent to Gurdan are difficult terrain for enemies until end of Gurdan's next turn. If the thief to Gurdan's east falls, Gurdan will move 5 squares east to get closer to Lo-Kag, otherwise he will stay put)

Reason: Added 'round 2' for easier accounting later
Round 2
Annoyed that his first attack missed Lord Jarot will use his Witchfire on the Salesman!
Minor Action: Summon armor if not already summoned.
Move Action: Will move closer if necessary to attack, otherwise none.
Standard Action: Witchfire on the salesman.
Garrick quickly places his curse upon the forged to his left and strikes with uncanny precision, taking a good part of the warforged's torso with his weapon.
Eldritch Strike: 27 vs AC, 17 Damage.
The power within the blow sends the warforged tumbling backwards, right into one of his companion's face [slide to C-4]. He then moves to follow, aiming for the kill. [move to D-5]
AS Gurdan slams his warhammer into the table, the ground erupts in a shower of earth, badly wounding the warforged he was facing. Unfortunately, this has caused the table to splinter under the might of the earth and both opponents fall to the ground.
Lord Jarot steps up to the plate once more, but his otherworldly magics find no purchase on the Salesman... I guess he's just not buyin' what yer selllin!
OOC
Gurdan: The only attack that hits is against Thief 5 (that poor bastage) who takes 14 damage and is now BLOODIED again. You need to make a saving throw (you can do so immediately) to save vs going prone. Also, DMDanW has expressed his interest in getting bloodied, so I am going to leave his marks as they are.
Lord Jarot: Unfortunately, once again, your attack misses, and you have now expended Witchfire.
Note: I have found an awesome little image pack for statuses and have updated my map to include them. The states that mater currently (and can be seen on the map) are:
Dead: A skull in a black square.
Bloodied: white droplets in a red square.
Grryths' Mark: Orange Cross
Gurdan's Mark: Green Cross
Garricks' Curse: Cyan spookie skull
Lord Jarot's Curse: Green spookie skull.
Lo-Kag, surrounded by foes works to cut off the advantage postition of his enemies by thrusting his sword to the weaker of the two foes that currently flank him.
actions
unfortunately, almost all of my attack powers requires that an ally be close in order to use them effectively. With that in mind, I'll choose to save them for later.

Attack: Basic attack against foe at e19: 1d20+11=12 wooh
He almost drops his sword as some remaining batter seeps into the hilt, making his grip on the sword slick. Lo-Kag screams in angish. "Come on Lo-Kag...you've faught better in worse battles!"
With that, he regains his grip and tries again, this time with a sweeping swing towards his enemies head.

Gurdan also loves to take some hurt, because he has some serious mojo built into his 2nd wind.
Between class features and magic item bonuses, he gets +8 (yes, eight) to AC and +4 to all other defenses from 2nd wind
He gets +4 damage from 2nd wind
Therefore if Gurdan is not even bloodied yet and hasn't used his 2nd wind, it is probably better not to heal him so none of his 2nd wind healing is wasted
Wow those are some impressive numbers. Is the +4 damage for the rest of the encounter or just 1 round?
With Grryths Longtooth shifting he gains +2 damage for the rest of the encounter, Regeneration 2 while bloodied and because of the Sturdy Shifter feat gains 5 temp hit points when he uses this power. So when attacking with Dual strike he can deal an extra 4 damage per turn. My thought was not to even use his sweeping blow power till he had the extra damage, but I couldn't pass up the situation.
Gurdan also feels bizarrely replenished as he attacks the warforged. Looking up, he notices Alexia smiling oddly at him.
Alexia then attempts to drive home a powerful blow of her own, but the sudden collapse of the table upsets her aim and she swings where her foe was a moment before. Cursing slightly, she rapidly strikes again in an attempt to pry even more armor from her foe. Then she moves away from her attacker.
"We can do this! Just keep them away from the-!" she suddenly cuts herself off, not wanting to reveal the location of the gem. However, her eyes nervously and visibly flicker over to the stove (ooc: not the fireplace, because she's lying).
Round 2 Actions
Standard: Inspiring Refrain against Thief 5. Hits AC 15 for 10 damage (I screwed up the attack bonus in the link, but I rolled a 3 so it doesn't really matter). That's going to miss even with the -2 AC, but if for some reason it hits, every ally within 5 squares of me gets a +1 power bonus to hit until the end of my next turn.
Action Point: Guiding Strike against Thief 5. Hits AC 19 for 9 damage. That's including flanking, but not the -2 AC from last turns Guiding Strike. Again, I choose to debuff AC until the end of my next turn.
Move: Shift to D7.
Minor: Bluff check to try to sneakily make the thieves think the gem is near the stove (again, not the fireplace). Got a 29.
Free: Use Virtue of Valor to give Gurdan 4 temp hp for bloodying Thief 5.

Well IMO Lo-Kag would be able to see Alexia just fine.
I threw the map into Maptools and added Topography and let the vision tool do the work for me and it appears to me that you would easily see her.
Again, thats just my opinion. Obviously its up to the DM or the Judge to make that call.
Also it's nice to know that you have that ability. I think that if I am going to spend an AP, I will do it with an attack where I can lay that damage into multiple foes.

Yesss! May your weapon create havoc to all of your foes!
Gurdan's bonus damage is until the end of next turn. Since he's a dwarf, that means he can drop 2nd wind as a minor and get two rounds worth of the bonus damage.
