Now now...Just because Lo-Kag likes to use intimidation to complete tasks doesn't mean his a bad guy. If the crowd only new he was doing it for their own good. I think that they were scared from the beginning by his appearance. Ha Ha.
Lo-Kag is ready. I'll edit this post with the my updated stat block later on tonight.
Lo-Kag watches the crowd scatter, then turns to Grryth and nods his head in agreement. "We must put a stop to this thief now."
question
Are we still in the of the original encounter or we going to start a new one?

Alexia lowers herself from a nearby roof and approaches the rest of the group. As she does so, her familiar flutters down from the sky and appears to be absorbed into her shadow.
With the group ready, Gurdan takes the lead and opens the door. The group takes a step inside and sees a moddest entrance room, though the only real reason you can tell it's the entrance room is becuase of the large red carpet that covers the floor of this area. The tower is circular, and there are no walls seperating one "room" from another except for the center stone cylinder where a lift can take you from one floor to another or into the basement. The floor seems to be empty and papers are scattered everywhere. The front desk has been tipped over and ink stains the red carpet in a small puddle, giving it a purple hue. On the east side of the tube there is an empty doorframe. There is no lift there ready to take you to the next floor, and you cannot see any lighting coming from either the floor above or the basement.
ooc: If it's dark enough to obscure vision, I'll light up a sunrod before doing the following.
Alexia heads over to where the lift would be and looks up and down the shaft, trying to find either the lift itself or hints as to where the device has gone.
Grryth looks around the room trying to pick out every possible entry/exit point. Once the room is scanned he will head over to the entrance to the lift and stand beside Alexia and take a close look up and down the shaft. Grryth will activate a sunrod of his own and toss it down the shaft to illuminate the area below.
Perception Roll
Perception Check: 1d20+9 = roll to follow, or roll for me if you like...
Walking over to the ink and papers, Lo-Kag can see there there was some kind of struggle here. On the wall next to the lift, there is a small circular hole about 2 inches in diameter. Looking up and down the lift, sunrod in hand, Alexia and Grryth can see that the lift is one floor above you, blocking your vision of anything above you in the shaft. Below, where Grryth has dropped his sunrod, the shaft plummets twenty feet onto concrete and stone. The light of the sunrod rushes up the shaft and also seems to spill out of the shaft through another open door-frame where you can assume it exits into the basement. From what you guys can see, the only entrance/exits to this room is the shaft down to the basement, and the door you entered into the tower.
Alexia grins. "That's it. Keep going down, away from any nasty windows." She tucks her sunrod into her belt and climbs down the shaft with spider-like ease and (somewhat disturbingly) movements. Once she reaches the bottom, she pulls out her sunrod again and looks around.
ooc: Athletics 28, followed by Perception 27. That's my girl.
At the bottom of the shaft, Alexia can see just outside of the door frame. The basement looks... empty. Looking to her left, she can see a man covered in blood lying dead on the concrete floor, a red pool slowly seeping out from underneath him. Floating just above the body is the messenger, it's single eye glowing red. It looks at Alexia and stabs at the bleeding body with one of it's tentacles, ensuring that it would encounter no more resistance from its victim. It then flies off towards the other side of the lift shaft.
Battle 2: Kill the Messenger!
Messenger Actions:
Standard Action: Coup de Grace on human victim.
Move Action: Fly around the other side of the lift shaft.
Minor: None
INITIATIVE: Messenger goes first, then you guys go in whatever order you post. That means it's your turn...good luck, you're gonna need it!
With noticeable effort (well, only really noticeable to the messenger) Alexia tears her gaze away from the massive pool of blood and shouts to those above, "Hurry up and get down here!"
She then draws her sword while making an angular advance on the messenger. It seems to be effective, for she is able to dart in and land a debilitating blow.
Round 1 Actions
Minor: Draw sword.
Move: Perform the following move: G9->F8->E7->E6->E5->F4, which will either put me in F4 without drawing an AoO or determine whether this guy has threatening reach.
Standard: Guiding Strike. Hits AC 29 for 13 damage, and it takes a -2 penalty to AC until the end of my next turn. Huh, that's how I started the first combat.

Skald's Chainmail
As Alexia steps near the Messenger, one of it's tentacles snake out like a metal whip and makes contact with Alexia's chest. Fortunately for her, the chainmail protecting her torso absorbed the impact of the lashing tentacle. She moves around the tentacle and attacks, landing a solid hit, her sword making screeching sounds against the hard metal of the Messengers chassis.
Alexia
Your attack hits the Messenger for 13 damage. I had to slightly alter your movement; because the NE corner of G8 contained the wall of the shaft, you can't move diagonal from G9 to F8. So instead, I had you move from G9 to F9 to E8 to E7 to E6 to F5. Hopefully this still accomplishes what you were trying to do. If not, let me know and we'll look at it.
Also, just as you stepped into F5, the Messenger took a swipe at you with a whipping tentacle, but it missed.
Not a problem THB. Unfortunately, with only a speed of 5, it's not possible to get into the 4 column, though you have the option of being in E5, F5, or G5 You are currently set as being in F5, but if you want to change to E5 or G5, just let me know and I'll make it happen.
