Thanks Garrick, now I just need some input from Gershom/Question Mark as to what action(s) he is taking.
Question Mark
What/who are you going to transform into? (I like to try to find pics to match your current state for your token ^_^ ) Love the character concept of changing "who" you are depending on your mood. Awesome.
Gershom now the last one on the main floor feels the last of his white hot rage subside into a tranquility as deep and unmovable as a glacier. As this happens his feartures change, fur and horn are replaced by a wrinkled and calm face of an older Eladrin.
Kinion walks over to the shaft and looks down, where all the comotion is happening, and sees the one opening at the bottom. Knowing that he is bringing up the rear he will try to climb down so that he can cover the door to prevent escape.
Athletics check 1d20+1=12
Occ: not his stregenth! lol
Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys, I ended up having to take my wife to the hospital yesterday (asthma) and I have been completely inundated with school work this weekend. I will do my best to post something more substantial on Monday.
HornedTurtle: yeah, I know it's my fault that you're changing personalities so much... but you left the opportunity wide open withi that huge list of personalities you have on your character sheet. It was simply too tempting to NOT do something with =D

Hey Kalidrev, no worries man. Home life comes first. Hope everything is ok. We'll just have to wait before we kick the messenger's arse.
As Kinion lands on the tiled floor of the lift shaft, the party hears an unfamiliar sound coming from the Messenger like a low whine that quickly builds to a high pitch. The center eye of the messenger opens up and a clear globe flashes with the intensity of the sun. Alexia, mesmerized with the sound, stares intently at the orb when it flashes, causing a deep burning sensation that goes from her eyes all the way to the back of her brain. Garrick and Lo-Kag manage to avert their eyes at the last second. While the others are distracted, the Messenger quickly flies to the north, past Alexia and then, just as suddenly it goes on the offensive, attacking his most vulnerable foe with a flurry of lashing tentacles that wrap around her and begin squeezing the life out of her.
Messenger Actions
- Standard: Blinding Flash, a close burst 5 attack vs Fort that hits Alexia for 6 radiant damage, but misses Garrick and Lo-Kag
- Move: Moves from G4 to D4
- Action Point; Standard Action: Attacks Alexia with Grabbing Lash and hits twice for 17 damage. Because she is hit with both attacks, Alexia is grabbed.
Grabbed Condition
Being grabbed means a creature is immobilized. Unless otherwise noted, a grab lasts until the end of the grabber’s next turn, and the grabber can sustain the grab as a minor action and end it as a free action.
Certain circumstances end a grab: if the grabber is affected by a condition that prevents it from taking opportunity actions, if either the grabber or the creature it’s grabbing moves far enough away that
the grabbed creature is no longer in the grabber’s reach, or if the grabbed creature escapes. See also “Escape” and “Grab”
Blinded Condition
• You grant combat advantage.
• You can’t see any target (your targets have total concealment).
• You take a -10 penalty to Perception checks.
• You can’t flank an enemy.
OOC
Your guyz's turn... kick some butt!
Resources Used:
Messenger: Blinding Flash (recharge on a 5 or 6). 1 of 2 Action Points.
* Oops! I did forget to add the map! BAD DM, BAD!
* The blindness lasts until the end of the messengers next turn. You guys did not have time for a short rest between the fight and this one, as you had to chase the messenger through the city as soon as you defeated Salesman.
* After reading a few other threads/adventures I have decided that the Skill Check will count towards the number of encounters you have faced, which means that before this fight, you have reached a milestone and gain an Action Point! I have added the map below!
You will need to have used a move action to exit the lift shaft (cause you can't charge through walls), but other than that, go ahead and roll your attack roll/damage roll to attack.
Ya about the lift exit, I belive I had asked where that was exactly and had not heard back from you (or I missed it).
Roll will happen later when I get home from work. Stupid web filter has blocked Invisible Castle.
Gurdan appears alternately enraged and horrified to see Alexia tangled in the monstrosity's limbs.
"Get over here, ye monster!" he shouts. Gurdan grunts, and his entire skin takes on a grey, mottled appearance, almost as if his skin had turned to stone (second wind). He moves into position (move to D6), and stretches his arm out unnaturally far in an attempt to pull the beast toward him (Thorn Strike hits AC 16 for 16 damage; If hit (I doubt it), pull the messenger one square towards Gurdan)

Garrick curses and charges the messenger (E-4), trying to slice it in two. His footing, however, betrays him and he ends up swinging too low to hit the tentacled monster.
Eldritch Strike: 13 vs AC, 15+1d6 damage. The messenger is now cursed by Garrick and he's granted concealement (shadow walk ability).
With a deep growl, Garrick redirects his swing before ending it and hit the mesenger in an upward motion, getting a clean hit this time.
Action Point used. Eldritch Strike: 21 vs AC, 20 damage. EDIT: It's 20 damage thanks to the amazing warlord's ability.
don't forget to add an additional 7 points damage for hitting with your AP attack within the sight of your dragonborn warlord friend.
Lo-Kag, inspired by Garrick attack, moves in with his blade drawn. He plunges his blade deep into the fiend. "Garrick, take your blade and hit him again my friend! It's defenses are down! Now is your chance!" Not done yet, Lo-Kag shouts to Alexia "Hold strong Alexia. Take strength in my words to fight another day. May your blade be the one that takes it down when the time comes for it to die!"

Don't bother healing me. I'm just going to use my second wind, since I'm not really going to be able to attack this turn anyway.
Alexia seems to be strengthened, although whether it's from her ally's words or some inner reserve is impossible to determine. She then attempts to twist out of the messenger's grip.
Round 2 Actions
Standard: Second Wind, healing 10 hp and giving +2 to all defenses, assuming dimsdale takes back the heal.
Move: Acrobatics to escape from grab. 16 vs Reflex. I have a bad feeling about that. If that succeeds, I also shift to G6.
As Grryth charges the mechanical menace, he exchanges a blow with the beast for a tentacled slap to the face. As Gurdan moves and strikes, the messenger's black metal chassis absorbs the attack, not even leaving a superficial scratch. Garrick charges the "beast" but his first attack goes wide. Making a second effort, the weapon wielding warlock wales wantonly with winning wallops, whacking wondrously without waiting whether whipping weapons wane (yay for aliteration)! Lo-Kag moves in for the kill and lands a spectacular blow that puts a significant dent in the side of the messenger, leaving it wide open for Garrick. As Alexia's inner reserves begin to flush her body with energy, a black tentacle slaps against her chest and she can feel that reserve being pulled from her, leaving her more drained than before. A whirling grinding sound, almost like that of a deep laugh, emits from the messenger. She attempts to wriggle free of the continually wrapping tentacles, but she is unsuccessful in doing so.
Kali's Catch-up on all the action
When Grryth steps next to the messenger, he gets a smack to the face for 8 damage.
Gurdan's attack misses.
Lo-Kag crits the messenger and Garrick can now make a Melee Basic Attack as a free action, with a +3 damage bonus.
When Alexia uses her Second Wind, the Tentacle Messenger uses his Mourning Tentacle power, which hits(1d20+10=29). It deals no damage to her, HOWEVER... she doesn't gain the healing from her Second Wind (she still gets the bonus to defenses), and the healing surge is still used up.
NOTE: I do apologize, THB, if it seems like I'm picking on you... I'm really not. I'm just going with the devastatingly nasty tactics that this creature has... however, I will note that you guys have done a ton of damage to this thing this round, so keep it up!
Resources Used:
Tentacle Messenger: Blinding Flash (rech. 5), Mourning Tentacle (rech. 6). 1/2 Action points.
Alexia: Second Wind, Inspiring Refrain.
Gurdan: Second Wind, Hungry Earth, Cloak of Resistance (daily)
Lo-Kag: Hammer and Anvil, Sacrificial Weapon Power (daily)
Alexia: 23/43 1 AP - Blinded, Bloodied
Garrick: 0/40 ? AP (either 0 or 1... did Garrick use one last battle?)
Grryth: 18/52 ? AP (at least 1)
Gurdan: 9/57 2 AP - Gains +8 AC, +4 F/R/W until Start of his next turn.
Lo-Kag: 7/45 1 AP
Kinion: 0/39 1 AP
Messenger: Taken 56 damage. That's 43 damage this round alone, good job guys!
I want to extend a big big THANK YOU to those who have been posting their stat blocks. It makes my life a WHOLE lot easier! One thing that I ask from you guys is that when you update your stat blocks, if you use a daily resource, please note the name of the section that you used it in (such as Protect Proprietors Property for Gurdis's house, or Kill the Messenger for this battle). THANKS!!
I would also like to apologize for all of the time I have taken away from the game. I am trying to keep this game moving as quickly as I possibly can, so sorry for the hold up! I am completely back from my RL stuff so I can post frequently again! YAAAY!
Last on the roster is Kinion for this round and then it's time for Round 3!!
Also, if I am missing anything, let me know!
Arcana for Monster Knowledge (free action on your turn)
Arcana DC 15
The Tentacled Messenger is a Final Messenger that has been given a dark sentience and weapons of it's own. It is a Shadow Animate (construct).
Arcana DC 20
The Tentacled Messenger has the following powers:
(t) Whipping Tentril (standard; at-will)
Reach 2; +10 vs. AC; 2d4 + 3 damage
t Grabbing Lash (standard; at-will)
Reach 2; Tentacle Messenger can make 2 whipping tendril attacks. If both whipping tendril attacks hit the same target, that target is grabbed. Up to 3 targets can be grabbed at one time.
t Tentacle Noose (move; at-will)
+10 vs. Fort; When Tentacle Messenger begins its turn with a grabbed foe, it can move the grabbed foe (and itself with it) up to 3 squares. If the attack misses, the guardian decides whether to continue its move by itself (which ends the grab) or to remain in place (which maintains the grab).
t Tentacle Snap (free; at-will)
Once per round as a free action, the Tentical Messenger can make a whipping tendril attack against any creature who moves into a square adjacent to it. It cannot do this if it has 2 or more creatures grabbed.
t Dark Whirlwind (standard; recharge 5) * Necrotic
Tentacle Messenger flies 8 squares and makes 3 whipping tendril attacks at any point during the flight. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks from those creatures that are targeted by the whipping tendril attacks used as part of this power. It can attack a given enemy only once, but it deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage on a hit. Tentacle Messenger can squeeze as a free action as part of this power.
<- Blinding Flash (standard; recharge 5) * Radiant
Close blast 5; +8 vs. Fort; 1d6 + 2 radiant damage, and the target is blinded until the end of its next turn.
<- Mourning Tentacle (immediate interrupt; recharge 6)
If a grabbed creature uses or receives the benefits of a healing surge, Tentacle Messenger may make a whipping tendril attack against that creature. If the attack hits, it deals no damage, but the Tentacle Messenger regains the hit points that the grabbed creature would have regained, the grabbed creature regains no hit points, and the healing surge is still expended.
Arcana DC 25
The Tentacle Messenger is vulnerable against radiant damage and is resistant against necrotic damage.
Recommend we let Gurdan go first in round 3 so he can try and pull the messenger east one square - at least then we can get a little bit of flanking going on (I hope)
