OOC: As a question- are the small alcoves in the A row of the map simply closed alcoves, or are they closed doorways? As for trying the pressure plates, we do have several unused kenku bodies just lying around- no sense in risking our own necks? Do we want to try simply activating one plate, or do we want to try to trip all 4 at once?
Radtash glances once again at the trapped plates and energy wall, but sees nothing new.
Perhaps the wall will respond to force? We could all stand behind the fountain and blast at it until it fails... not a very elegant solution, I admit, but it may work.

Sweetness looked over the door and the plates for a few more minutes, then shook her head. "Better get everybody back, yep yep yep. This might get messy..." With the soft barking chuckle so characteristic of her kin, she padded into the other room and selected a kenku corpse- with the body slung over one shoulder she then headed back into the room with the glowing doorway and took up a position off to one side, ready to dump the body onto one of the plates.
OOC: Intent is to stand in P 1 and dump kenku body onto plate at Q 1. Will wait for the others to get out of the room first, and will be ready to scamper back around the corner as soon as the body is dumped.
Radtash moves to stand on the other side of the fountain. Sweetness, before you do that, perhaps we could setup one of the stone coffin covers as a shield for you? I bet Gruff and Gogmorthak could manhandle one into place, then we could dump the body over the top and onto the trapped plates.

Radtash hides behind the fountain, to have a good look at Sweetness and be ready to come to his help if needed. Arkavas and the others leave the room. Once everyone seems out of harm way, Sweetness put the kenku body on one pressure plate.
As teh body activate the plate, a large burst come from the door, pushing violently the kenku body and Sweetness. They both roll on the floors, finishing at least 10 feet from the original place. Before Sweetness can react, he sees the door doing again his burst, but this time, he seems out of reach. The door continue to burst every few seconds.
The door now attack each round, doing a close burst attack that can hit anyone within 2 square of the door (P1 to U2). Anyone who want to enter any of these squares needs to give me action like in combat (One standard, on move and one minor action). If you all stay out of the door's reach, you can roleplay normally.

The door's explosions jar loose an idea in Arkavas' head, "Sweetness, love,. You took a key from the old stiff! Can you spot a key hole in the door?"

Minor: Active perception = 1d20+10 = 23 to spot a key hole somewhere on or around the door.
Minor: Curative Admixture on Sweetness to gain 13HP.
Gruff ignores the ongoing confusion in the next room. Taking the amulet, he fastens it in place like a patch over his ruined eyesocket. "Heh. Guess I can't call myself One-Eye anymore. Heh."
Gruff moves to the entrance into the next room, calling "Hey Arkavas! Put this on before you get yourself killed fighting walls!" and tosses his old necklace to the artificer.

I've updated Gruff the wiki with his new defenses.
Also, I don't know if that last status update was intended to be accurate or if it was just to put the map out. Gruff spent one surge to heal, and gave one to Arkavas for his curative admixture, so Gruff should be at 41/49 hp and 8/11 surges.

Arkavras come back into the room. He heals the Gnoll and start to take a look at the door. His inspection of the door form where he is allow him to spot an small detail unseen by his companion. A small hole can be seen in the stone wall, but the hole is where was standing Sweetness, within the blast radius.
"Hello you beautiful thing." Arkavas can't believe his luck. "Sweetess! I've found the key hole. It's here on the left side of the door. Right after the next blast try turning the key to the left when you put it in."
Still smarting just a bit from the power of the warding (more from the fact of being caught than from the actual injury, thanks to Arkavas' healing), Sweetness cautiously moved forward to examine the situation.
With the keyhole pointed out, she took out the key and readied herself for quick action- as soon as one of the bursts washed out, she lunged forward, intent on putting the key to use...
OOC: I don't know what type of action placing/using the key is- maybe a Standard to fit it into place, and a minor to turn it? Maybe a Standard for a Thievery check to work it quickly, and no minor action needed? Either way, a Move action forward into the blast area, waiting until just after the ward has fired, then any remaining actions to put the key to use (I hope it works...)
ooc: sorry been a bit under the weather this week. Gogmorthak is there and ready to support any action required just don't have much of a head for rping atm.
Sweetness quickly move to the keyhole and put the key in it. Following Arkavas suggestion, he turn it to the left. Expecting the next blow, he get ready to get hit, but the force field have stop to beat. Instead, the glowing force door is fading away, leaving the path free to the next room. Sweetness can clearly see the only way forward from there is the small door to the West.
