Good job Sweetness, it appears you have earned our passage forward. Radtash carefully sticks his head into the newly revealed room and quickly examines it for hidden doors, traps, or enemies.

Radtash sends a thought back to his allies, This room appears safe. It seems we are clear of danger for the moment.
Now, I wonder what lies past this door? I can't hear any noise from the other side.

With her everburning torch in one hand and her dagger ready, Sweetness moved up beside Arkavas to assist in examining the door. "Bet the little birdies didn't get this far, yep yep yep. But there might be more ghosties, since they can walk through walls..."
OOC: Ready for another Thievery check on the door if needed.
Sweetness paced cautiously forward down the corridor, alert for any sign of threat. She paused long enough to look over the keyhole before stepping too close to the door.
OOC: Does this keyhole look as if the key we have might fit as well, or is it different enough that it is obviously too big or too small? If the key looks as if it will fit, try it- otherwise try a Thievery check (+12, or +14 with tools).

Sweetness realizes that the key would probably fit into the keyhole of the door. As he is about to enter the room, Radtash stops him. The Kalashtar points out to Sweetness all the floor is made of pressure plates and there is small holes in the walls.

Sweetness looked over the situation for a few moments- as Arkavas moved up to try his luck with the pressure plates, the gnoll gave a soft chuckle and trotted back down the hallway towards the tomb. A few minutes later, she returned with one of the spears that the kenku had been using.
Still chuckling gruffly, Sweetness set to work with the spear and one of her daggers. It was a quick project to notch the haft of the spear deeply enough to set the back of the key into the wood, and to lash the makeshift implement tight with a strip or two of cloth from one of the kenku cloaks.
Smiling a wide, toothy grin, Sweetness reached across the pressure plate portion of the hall with the pole... "Wouldn't try this if I had to pick the lock, yep yep yep," the gnoll barked. "But it ought to work enough to fit the key in and try to give it a turn."
OOC: Is the description of the tool-building clear enough, or do you want a more detailed write-up? The idea, obviously, is to get the key into the key hole and turn it without having to step on the plates. (I'm assuming only a single 5' space is covered by plates)
The javelin are short and the angle is bad. To be able to do it without tripping on a plate, you'll need to do an Acrobatic (Balance) check to be able to insert the key without stepping on a plate. Someone can help you with an Athletic check. The person who will help will need to also do a Balance check too to not fall on a plate (his DC will be lesser) if Sweetness miss his balance check.

"Alright Sweetness. I'll give you some counterbalance so you can lean forward far enough to reach." Arkavas links his arm around Sweetness' free arm and leans back as she leans forward. To him, it's more of a physics lesson than an athletic feat, but he finds the right angle and manages to get it done despite his lanky frame.

With a deep growl of concentration, Sweetness leaned forward across the gap, trying to fit the key into the hole. For probably the first time, those in the group realized just how big the gnoll was- most of the time she tended to hunch over or slouch, but she was very nearly seven feet tall with broad shoulders and a rangy build...
OOC: Acrobatics at +12= 26 (+2 for Arkavas' help= 28); roll Roll Lookup . And as noted, Sweetness is 6'11" tall...
And a javelin, to be throwable, is at maximum around 2 meters long, which mean 1 square. With your arm length and the balance, I can start to beleive you can reach the door keyhole, but I am not even sure you would reach it. But I found the idea cool, so I give it a hard but reachable DC... but you are dead... just kidding.
With much effort and thinking, Sweetness and Arkavas are able to put the key in the keyhole. As he turn the key, he hears the door unlocking.

"Sweetness. Hang on to that key. We may need it again. If it fits two doors, it may fit others." Arkavas feels relief that the door is unlocked, but he is still a bit uneasy since he was not able to deactivate the pressure plates. "Step carefully. I'm not convinced we've outfoxed this trap quite yet. I suggest it's one at a time across the hall. Here. I'll go first." After pulling Sweetness back to a standing position next to him, Arkavas strikes out at a trot across the hall to the door on the opposite side.

Arkavas safely cross the room and open the door on the other end. From there, he sees an hallway. Lightning constantly flares down the length of his hallway, emanating from an iron spike set in the floor on the hallway’s eastern end.
