Both tribals decides to attack Sweetness. The gnoll evades the one figthing him in melee, but he get hit by the javelin thrown by the second.

The first Inciter, taking advantage of the opening, use his chain to pull Gogmorthak into the pit. The barbarian fall into the pit, but his fall is stop by the Gelatinous Cube that rest at the bottom. He start to feels the acid of the cube acting on him.

The other Inciter move away from the Gelatinous cube and attack Gruff who is threatening him.

The Wing Mage create a blast. Nervala quickly evade it, but Arkavas is badly hit and feels dizzy.

The cube attack the nearest prey. He attack Gruff who can't avoid the blow. Paralyzed by him, the cube easily engulf him.

OOC

One tribal shift to gain bracket against Sweetness. He attack in melee, the other in range: Attack Sweetness, Attack Sweetness (1d20+10=15, 1d20+8=28)

Inciter 1 chain slide on Gogmorthak: Attack Gogmorthak (1d20+11=24, 2d4+5=11). Gog is slided 3 squares toward the pit. Gogmorthak save to not be slided into the pit: (1d20=9)

Inciter 2 shift to L8 and attack Gruff: Attack Gruff (1d20+11=12, 2d4+5=9) Miss.

The wing mage use Death Flock at I7 Attack Nervala, Arkavras (1d20+8=17, 1d20+8=18, 1d6+6=12). Power recharge: Recharge (1d6=5)

The Gelatinous Cube attack Gruff: Gelatinous Cube vs. Gruff (1d20+10=24, 2d6+2=7). Action point and Engluf automatically Gruff.

The gelatinous cube in the pit cannot attack, but anyone falling into it is automatically grabbed by it. If anyone in successfully escape the grab, he must do an athletic DC:15 to grab the rough wall. A failed Athletic roll and the person fall back into the cube. A rope could reduce the DC...

Sweetness, as one might expect of a gnoll raised in one of Sharn's worst neighborhoods, wasn't terribly well educated- but she was clever, and easily capable of realizing how badly the odds were shifting. This fight was getting uglier than any Daask medusa...

With another excited yip, the gnoll shifted her weight and spun, moving out from between the two kenku. She shifted her dagger and lashed out at the inciter, trying to drive it into the pit as well...

OOC: Move action: shift to M 1; Standard action: Attack north Inciter with Positioning Strike, +12 vs. WILL= 15 (barely hit), damage 1d4+6=10, rolls: Roll Lookup , then slide target 2 squares (nominally into the pit, on top of Gogmorthak- but I think the damage kills it outright, so I'll just dump it at the edge of the pit instead; if it isn't dead, then slide into the pit- while technically you can't end movement in the same square with an enemy, I don't think that prevents it from falling in...). Wow, 2 encounter powers and an AP, for one target...

While Radtash was engulfed by the cube, it seems a little of his sanity was eaten away by the acid. He steps away from the Gelatinous cube, and pounds a blast of thought into two Inciters: You have turned from the Light! If you do not repent and surrender now, may the Light abandon you in return, and blight your soul forever!

Radtash doesn't waste words or thoughts on the cube. He simply points his hand, and abruptly the cube is shrouded in shadows, cursed by Radtash's faith. The shadows seem to hinder both the cube's attacks and it's defenses. As an afterthought, Radtash pulls his rope out of his pack.


Mechanics
Move: Radtash shifts to I3.
Standard: Radtash intimidates both the Inciters 1d20+13=16 & 1d20+13=33
Ignore the second two rolls, I misunderstood the multiple rolls options on IC.
Action point: Bane vs. Gelatinous Cube: 1d20+10=22
Until the end of Radtash's next turn, the cube takes a penalty of 5 to attack rolls and all defenses.
Minor: Pull rope from pack.

Yeah. I didn't count on needing it, but when I got hit by the Death Flock I figured I needed to finish this guy off fast. Unfortunately it didn't work. He still has 2 more HP. At least I haven't spent any dailies.

As the Wing Mage hits Arkavas, Narvala gathers the Flame's power to punish one that threatened her ally, scorching it with holy fire. Then she turns on the cube engulfing Gruff, and strikes it with a radiant blast, sliding it off her companion.

Erekose13: You must first free yourself from the grab. Which means you need to either do an athletic or acrobatic check, as grab rules state. The only problem, it is once you escape the grab, you can only shift up, and gravity have a tendency to play against you, so you have a free athletic check to grab what you can to not fall again, which is the DC 15 Athletic check to grab the rough wall I was talking about.

Gogmorthak release himself from the grab and grab at the wall.

The two tribals continues their assaults on Sweetness, throwing each a javelin. One hit but the other flies over his head.

The last Inciter move back from Akavras and slug him with a good blow from his chain.

The wing mage, annoyed by Nervala, create a wind blast that blow her next to Gruff and the Gelatinous Cube.

The Gelatinous Cube, seeing two possible prey next to him, tries to englobe them both. Gruff, starting ot be use by the tactic, escape the cube, but Nervala is engulf.

Sorry, all roll are done with normal dices as IC is offline.

Gogmorthak release himself from the grab (I used his Athletic roll for that) and tries to grab at the wall. (5+11 = 16) Success! Thanks to his great modifier. He need one more DC 15 roll to reach the top. He is too good to fall back into the Gelatinous cube (that would be a roll of 10 or less).

The two tribals shifts and attack Sweetness (Attack roll: 26 and 15 vs AC, one hit for 5 hp).

The last Inciter shift and attack Akavras (Attack: 27 vs AC, Damage: 10)

The Wing Mage (Attack: 27 vs Fort, Damage: 12), Hurricane doesn't recharge, but saved vs ongoing damage (16)

Gelatinous Cube: Engulf Gruff and Nervala (Attack: 10 and 20 vs Refl). Note, no -3 and no Aegis possible as this is a single attack including Gruff.

Since she has little chance of escaping the Cube's grab by mundane means (10 str, 10 dex, not trained in Athletics nor Acrobatics), Narvala decides to risk further injury to push the creature off of her with the power of the Silver Flame, and shrugs off the last of the acid.

OOC: Sun Strike is a ranged attack, which provokes an OA (but the cube should be taking a -6 to its attack roll -- -5 Shroud, -3 marked, +2 combat advantage because she's Dazed). 17 on the die + 9 = 26 vs. Reflex; 1d8+7 damage = 12. Narvala slides the cube 1 square to K2-L3. Saving throw is a 15, so succeeds. However, she's bloodied, so help from any Leader-types would be appreciated.

Gruff moves away from the cube towards the Wing Mage and calls out "Gogmorthak! Get yourself out of that pit, and I'll drop this mass of jelly in it!" Throwing his sword at the mage on the run, Gruff scores a hit, and the mage winces as the blade bites deep.

mechanics

Move: Gruff moves to P4
Minor: None
Standard: Gruff attacks the Wing Mage with Falcon's Mark: 1d20+9 = 20 vs. AC for 1d8+5 = 11 damage.
The Wing Mage is marked with Aegis of Ensnarement until EONT, taking -3 to attacks that do not include Gruff.

Gruff will not pull the Wing Mage with the Aegis, though, preferring to pull the Cube into the pit if it attacks on its turn. The cube is still marked.

Oh, Narvala... I was hoping to get my post up before you did something like that. Gruff can pull the Cube, which also gets you out (without an AoO.)

Edit: it's ok, though.. this might work better. I'll edit my post.

Also, we have a cleric and an artificer and no heals have gone out? Might be about that time.

Arkavas doesn't even bother to chase. He just stands there taunting the Inciter. He does, however, take the time to gather his strength and wits (if he ever had any to begin with).

Besides sticking his tongue out at the Inciter?...

Effect: +10HP and +2 to all defenses UEONT

Save vs. Dazed = 1d20=20! (Tabletop Roll. IC is down). Why could this not be an attack roll!?

Sweetness gave a sharp bark of laughter at the fallen inciter, then looked around the room to see how the others were doing. Then she burst into motion, racing around the pit to lunge at the kenku spellcaster. She leapt up into the air, surprising the flying mageby stabbing at its leg...

OOC: Move action M2, N3, O3, P4, Q5; attack wing mage with Disheartening strike (+12 vs. AC=26 (hit), damage 1d4+6= 9 (and target takes a -2 to attack rolls until end of my next turn, unless it is immune to fear effects); rolled with normal dice as IC is still down. Since the wing mage is only 1 square up, she should be able to reach him to attack- if she has to jump, Athletics +10= 16, with a running start (or she can use the altar as a step to jump at it, but would draw an OA).

Gogmorthak release himself from the grab (I used his Athletic roll for that) and tries to grab at the wall. (5+11 = 16) Success! Thanks to his great modifier. He need one more DC 15 roll to reach the top. He is too good to fall back into the Gelatinous cube (that would be a roll of 10 or less).

The two tribals shifts and attack Sweetness (Attack roll: 26 and 15 vs AC, one hit for 5 hp).

The last Inciter shift and attack Akavras (Attack: 27 vs AC, Damage: 10)

The Wing Mage (Attack: 27 vs Fort, Damage: 12), Hurricane doesn't recharge, but saved vs ongoing damage (16)

Gelatinous Cube: Engulf Gruff and Nervala (Attack: 10 and 20 vs Refl). Note, no -3 and no Aegis possible as this is a single attack including Gruff.

Gogmorthak pulls himself up over the edge of the pit finally as the other cube goes tumbling past him (I think). Looking around he sees the other inciter that Arkavas is fighting. Ignoring the acid burns, Gogmorthak charges the inciter hammering into it with his axe.

The Gelatinous cube tries to Slam Nelvada as she attack it, but seems to have difficulty to attack people inside himself.

Only roll 7 vs Fort... a clean miss.

Yeah, I have taken into account the -5 on the Gelatinous cube and the Intimidate check failed because you had only 1 Inciter to Intimidate (useless to intimidate death birds), and your first roll was not enough, considering any hostile target get +10 to there Will defense against that.

Only Radtash actions missing.
