Alchemist and spell shop.
In a cellar (nr.54) with a door leading up to the sprawling Quartz Street streets, an alchemist shop can be found. Inside is a strong smell from varies spell component and bobbling mixtures
Exchange Spell 1gp (not included cost for adding spells to you spell book)
Buying a spell lvl*10gp (not included cost for adding spells to you spell book)
0lvl=all
1lvl= Magic Missile, Sleep, Mage Armor, Enlarge Person, Protection from Chaos/Evil, Mount, Comprehend Languages
Nura will craft acid for 80% of listed price. She is also interested in buying or Exchange spells
Ah, yes, an appropiate downtime thread but i'd rather not see it as a shop, peronally. I think it easilly confused with a 'real' shop. If you and or others ok this as a downtime thread i'll stand corrceted but i would rather see it in another form.

B4cchus, I think the section KO was suggesting that you look at was not the beginning of the entry for the Job System but the beginning of the sentence about having a shop - specifically, "If you do not have one yet, you must set aside at least 1/4 of your income for a workshop, which costs 500 gp to buy."
Tarag does indeed have a shopfront, which he's paying off at the rate of 1.31 gp per week of real time.
Currently he only owes 481.66 gp.
Of course, Tarag continues to get some income from the shop even while he's on adventure because he pays an NPC to mind it for him.

OOC: Dargon, I'm interested in your idea of spell exchange. I presume you mean that, if I come into your shop with a 1st level spell you don't have in your spellbook, you'll offer one of your own 1st level spells in return. I pay for the cost of my own scribing of the spell into my book, plus 1 gp for the service. Is that correct?
If so, it's a great idea, and I like it.
There are, however, two things I want to sort out with you. The first is that I haven't seen a character submission for Nura, yet you have her listed as approved. Since all character approvals are meant to be sent to all character approval judges, I find it rather surprising that I haven't seen her.
The second point is that, unless Nura has the wherewithal to cover scribing costs into her own spellbook, she won't be able to do it. In other words, if she wants to copy new spells, she also has to pay the costs of materials. This is not subsumed under general business costs.
Like I said, I love the idea - in fact, I wish I'd thought of it first. But without sufficient funds, she won't be able to scribe new spells into her book.

you got it right
I don't know why you did not get the sheet for her, I just looked at my outgoing mails and you were on the CC list, i can mail her to you agin if you like. Anyway she is approved by Orsal and Hreset
I am aware that I have to pay to cover the cost of adding spells, and in the begining i might have to turn people down until i can cover the cost.

Yeah, could you check my address, please? It's boddynocklew AT gmail DOT com. If I didn't get yours and it was properly addressed, I wonder how many others I've missed!
Like I said before - it's a great idea. If I ever run a mage, he may well be coming to visit Spells & Tricks.

OOC: Dargon, is Gote an NPC? If so, Nura will have to pay him at a rate equal to half the standard profit from the Job System. It's best if you keep a record of the transactions in this thread. See the opening post of Tarag's Forge for an example of what I mean.

It was a quiet day on Quartz Street, only a few people were walking up the road when a large Boom shocked the surrounding building of number 54. A yellow fog and a foul stench of sulfur well out on the street making the few people on the street seek cover. When the fog and stench cleared a minuet later an ill looking Gote steps out of the shop, he seems like he is in shock but beside that he is unharmed. To much sulfur, I guess. He turns around and looks at the shop. Oh no! he exclaims She is going to want my head for this. He walks back in and starts to clean up the mess he has made.
