A more RP oriented question:
Is it permissable to have your character be a 'noble' in a town/City? If so, are there any that are restricted or having limitations or anything on how they'd interact/behave?
Edit:
Also, how do I paste my profile into a post? I can't paste the code in as a URL and then remove the URL, like I did for previous things. Any advice there?

well if you are goo enough you can learn underwater upsidedown basket weaving and make a basket of masterwork quality to be magiced into a form of heward's handy haver sack.
My fighter mentioned earlier has craft leather working and craft scrimshaw.

lol, I gathered as much, and Scott, I did read over your fighter, as I was planning on hijacking your formatting slowly, starting with the basic to get the character idea down, then slowly converting stuff as I figure it out, to make it more organized.
Anyways, I still don't know how to copy my profile from Notepad to a post on the forum, and besides that, I think I have my first character finished.

Just copy-and-paste. In notepad, highlight the text and copy (ctrl-C) into your buffer. Then begin a post to the character thread and paste (ctrl-V) your copied text there.

Huh, I usually highlight->Rightclick->Copy->Paste, which I couldn't do here, hence my confusion, the paste option doesn't come up when rightclicking a post here, or wasn't when I tried.
And now the coding seems to have distorted itself... and I've no idea how to fix it... BAH!
Well... I feel stupid at this point, I spent like an hours adjusting the spacing, then when it's displayed is ruined anyway. If anyone knows how to assist making http://www.enworld.org/forum/4738081-post391.html this profile's spacings appear even rather than scattered to all hell, I'd be very much obliged.

for me it is a labor of love...i open two windows and use one to see the errors and the other i deit. after a bit of adjusting , i hit save and open the first one as edit and read off the recently edited one. I go back and forth like that until i am happy. some times something goes wacko with enworld and i have to re-adjust, but like i said: a labor of love (ps: I use spaces)
Worked fine for me. Try quoting this post and removing the Quote tags at the beginning and end.

Appearance:
Viktor's features were a bit more sharp and refined, observers paying any attention would likely guess at his noble heritage, even though it may be covered with the grime of the forge. His skin was fair, with a touch of a tan due to the little sun he got when escaping the noble trappings and heading to the forge. His build would seem a bit unsuiting for smithing work, but the boy had developed a well toned muscle structure, making him slightly stronger than he would appear.
Background:
Viktor was born to House Talthem, a lesser noble family in Orussus. The Talthem are very old though not extremely prominent, and despite all the tradition, or perhaps because of it, Viktor had little interest in being a typical noble, staying in court at all times. Viktor dreamt of being a warrior, fighting for the causes or people he believed in. His fatherwas not particularly happy with this, but by the time the boy was 10 his father had given up on rearing him as a proper boy. His mother took care of most of his upbringing.
Knowing that Viktor was a willful boy who wouldn't relent from his desire for skill, arranged some meetings and initiated the boy into smithing, telling the boy that in order to fight well, he had to know how the weapons and armor he was to use were made. Additionally, she managed to get one of the city guard to mentor him during offduty hours to get him started on his basics.
Between his smithing apprenticeship and his mild martial training, Viktor was growing weary of remaining cooped up in Orussus, and began frequenting the taverns that held foreigners, listening to their tales of exploits and generally getting a feel for various adventurers, waiting for the chance to go on his own adventures.
As soon as I attempt to copy your quote, Erekose, the skills area in particular distorts in the exact same manner as it already was.
I do not understand how it looks perfect when you do it(as I can see in what you've shown) and it turns to crap when I go to copy it. >.>
My attempts to hand edit, as you suggested, Scott, actually worsened my skills section... >.< ~kicks his coding~ I really hate when I don't know why things go wrong.
Edit:
May I ask what web browser you two use? Perhaps the browser distorts the coding in some way.

How strange... I am as well. I really don't understand why I can't copy the excellent formatting into my post, but it keeps recrappitizing it.
Here is what happens when I C&P what you gave me, Erekose.

Also, this may seem a bit strange to ask, but does anyone have an MSN Messenger address they'd care to share? I find myself sitting about with far too much time, and thought perhaps someone might want to chat in real time.
My MSN is already in my profile information, IIRC.
Now that I've moved into the DM's chair for IVV1: Forgotten Map, we need a new judge for that game.
