Don't think so, it’s an American remake of a Korean film about two sisters, one who was in a mental hospital.
It's an American remake of Ji-woon Kim's thriller A Tale of Two Sisters, which I can't recommend highly enough.
Also...
While I'm anxious to see the reboot of Star Trek, I can't believe someone remade The Taking of Pelham 123, which, if you don't know, is a terrific movie about the hijacking of a subway car in 1970's NYC. There's no way they can do the original justice. It's a perfect little film. I'm sure they'll add massive explosions and/or blistering gunfights that the story doesn't need, and remove all the wonderful zeitgeist, which it does.
