Twilight: Romance, action or horror?

The wife and I have not been to the movies without the kids in years and we have been waiting for something to watch. Previews to this movie were good and suggested it was more of a romance than a vampire movie.

Can anyone one clarify itr to me? Blood and gore, romance or action?

I know of the books upon which the movie is based, by description from my wife.

Those are romance - classic abusive relationship romance, even. If I had a daughter, I'd have her read them and then sit down with her and talk about exactly why they are horrible role-models for a good relationship, and that any boy who treated her like that should be dropped like a hot potato.

I saw it, though I have not read the books. I thought it was a fine movie, and my wife loved it. I'd say it's more romance than anything else, but there is plenty of action as well. Very little horror.

Pass on this trash unless you're a fan of the books. It's the sort of entertainment that values emotions and imagery over plot and substance. At least Titanic attempted to mix all of those elements.

*Nods* I agree as well.

You would like these two comic strips, basically talking about the same thing:
