What did everyone think about this episode? The ending was quite shocking; I wasn't expecting Angelus to do that. Wonder what'll happen to Faith.
Hmmm... so Conner's got some demon blood; now it makes more sense that Cordy's baby is growing fast, since she's part demon too.
And Wes stabbing that girl; I thought he was on a slow road to redemption, but this seems a bit like a step back, even he was (maybe) trying to provoke Faith.
I think Wes, after seeing Faith get the crap kicked out of her, has come to some conclusions about how far they'll have to go to stop Angelus. So, while he may have begun down the road to redemption, possibly he sees this as a time for 100% "effort" - the end justifies the means on this one.
I think Faith's fate was hinted at in this episode. Not that I know anything, but there was a small plot point brought up where I went "Oh, that's neat. Hadn't thought of that..." which, in retrospect, may have been used as a set-up for next week. Can't wait until next week to find out if I'm clever or just over-thinking.

I see itt onight (ATlanta GA) but i can say Willow is supposed to be on NExt Weeks show to bring Angel Back. Faith will then go back with Willow for the last 5 episodes of Buffy

I am really hoping that Wesley manages to pull some crap that knocks Angelus out of the way so Faith survives.
Actually I thought this episode was interesting in showing how far Wesley will go, and that Faith was now the one upset with it. It did seem that when she really let go she was able to do more damage to Angelus but they ought to be concentrating on finding his soul... Wouldn't a "find soul" spell possible? Well maybe that's what Willow will be there for.
Oh, I wanted to add - I'm not convinced that Cordy's baby is Connor's. It is growing awfully fast, as she said, and we did see Cordy and the ol "rocky" kiss in the previous episode.

Nice episode. Definitely not the ending I expected. The spoken blurb for the scenes from next week's episode referred to one Slayer's soul moving on, but I'm wondering whether that's just Joss yanking our chains or not. So what does everyone think? Will Faith develop a corrugated forehead too? I'm betting not.

My Eberron Story Hour. Updated March 14. Angels-1; Landmass of Khorvaire-0!
While it would be interesting to see a vampiric Slayer, I think what will happen is that Angel will do enough damage to Faith to kill her, then she will somehow recieve sufficient medical attention to bring her back. This will, of course, trigger a third active slayer, one who I very much hope is not Kennedy.
So in other words we get a sort of repeat of Buffy's 1st season where Faith dies and another Slayer is activated. Damn. That kind of sucks for my whole "Follow the TRUE Slayer" deal.
But back to tonight's epsidose, I do think the child's is Conner and Cordy's but I'm also convinced that it's more than just the baby that's in charge. In any case the whole fight scene with Angelus and Faith, truly rocked. I had wished Faith would let go, but I also think she needs to deal with these issues. But what I hope to see, next ep, Willow comes out and show Evil Cordy/whatever just who is packing the major mojo.
I would just like to say on a completely geeked-out note that I am most definitely looking forward to an old school Buffy the Vampire Slayer original Scoobie Gang showdown between Cordy and Willow. I mean seriously, this has been brewing since season 1 of Buffy. Cordy and Willow have never gotten along and no one saw either of their characters turning out like this, but the possibilities are endless at this point.
I think Joss will pull out all the stops next week. All the Wes, Faith and Angel stuff plus the Cordy/Willow/Conner/Angel stuff is almost too much to take as a Buffyverse fan.
Maybe when I calm down I'll make some real comments on tonight's ep...

I'm totally excited to see WIllow next week! I wonder if she'll be kicking ass or "simply" restoring Angel's soul. I've always been a big fan of crossovers, regardless of the actual series being crossed over. I wonder if any bits of this story arc will feedback into Buffy, especially now that Willow is making a trip.

Well, the Willow returning the soul thing was a popular and easily the most probably theory.
Altho, I can't remember who said what at this point without going back a scouring the threads (which I would do if I was at home). Either way, should be a fun ride.

That's just my guess, but it is in my opinion borne out by the fact that the snippets we saw from the next episode show Faith waking up in a bed. We have seen that the AngelScoobs are willing to take the appropriate steps to ensure that those apparently slain by vampires don't become vamps themselves, and this preemptive staking/decapitating/what-have-you would make that impossible. Unless Angel carts her off somewhere, of course, but that would mean finding rather nice digs on short notice.

John, must agree the whole Willow versus Cordy has had a long time brewing. It's only now that we can all say "It's on!" (And I do think Willow and Cordy WILL face off. Just fated IMHO. )
