Wyvern and krunchyfrogg, we always pronounce "genasi" as JEN-a-sye. But, hey, we [Leif, Scotley, and Maidhc O Casain ] are a bunch of Arkansas hicks, albeit hicks with graduate degrees.

And I totally missed where Scotley said he was waiting on Mel... I was like, who is that?? And why haven't I posted in so long?? :duh: So, I should probably admit, my mind has been a mess lately. As in mama brain... I'm 18 weeks pregnant and losing my mind lol. I'm so sorry. Life is always chaos here and this isn't helping. I put up my initiative (as you will see, my mind is so crazy I rolled a 73 lol) and since as usual I'm going last, I will just wait to see what happens. :D edit: To add to what Maidhc O Casain said, I would love to have more role play. That's what keeps me in a game and pure rolling kind of bores me in the end. SO I'm all for more role play and trying to keep OOG in spoilers.

Viridian walks calmly, safe distance from Thorn. His small stature and wings help him navigate treacherous steps much more easily and he pays attention to wiry human in case it slips again. "I need to find out which ones are egg keepers and which are hunters." he thinks to himself. As Thorn joins her companions, he stays comfortable distance from the group and calls out to them presenting his arms with claws sheathed as before. "Strangers! i present myself as Claugendeem Calaun of the clan Claug Atar! Thy kind hath called mine own ruler Viridian Queen, thus thee may calleth me Viridian! I cometh in peace to parley. We has't ingraft foe - I giveth to join forces 'gainst the foulness of this realm. May i approach?" Claugendeem Calaun = Green (or Forest) Claw Vengeance Claug Atar = Forest Fang Queenie, Tailspinner, Fenris, Scott DeWar, Shayuri, Maidhc O Casain, Leif, Kaodi - take me in :) Or shoot the little green imp!

Right before the battle began, Meliara said a silent prayer to both Shalyn and Desna to watch over her friends and the side of the good and righteous. She cast armor on herself and her precious familiar, instructing the dragon to stay inside her robes unless she was quite injured. When the battle began Lia did as Denir instructed. She stayed out of the direct battle but threw her fiery spells from afar. The sound of screaming beads could be heard over the din of battle before the large explosions lit up the battlefield, casting a red glow over the proceedings. She enhanced her spells as much as she could, using her most powerful and dangerous spells now rather than later. She targeted the largest groups of demons and tieflings, trying to avoid their own troops as much as possible. She kept moving, making sure she didn’t leave herself a target as well. Shayuri Leif Mowgli You guys are up!!

here is the final basic one: http://livingpf.wikia.com/wiki/FJ_Character_Sheet can we have an approval vote to make this the new standard? i think pre-existing characters can use whatever they already have, no need to make everyone switch. if it's approved I'll edit the code onto the main template link on the wiki and in the soon to be new welcome thread. hopefully ill have that done by the end of the week. i'll work on the tabbed version now too..... i mean if it looks like nonsense on mobile devices no matter what, might as well have shiny and fancy tabs too. judge ping: Aura ealt GlassEye KahlessNestor Mowgli perrinmiller my vote: APPROVED!

Sorry to see you go Kaodi, but totally understand, this is a slow moving game, definitely. Some of them just end up being that way. Mowgli I love Vakeva, he always makes me laugh and he's one of the more well thought out characters in this game. Fenris will be here, you can count him in. He's feeling horribly guilty for abandoning his games for us getting married so just guilt him a little more and he'll be along ;)

  • 06:35 PM - FrancisJohn mentioned Maidhc O Casain in post Official Proposal: Background Skills
Background Skills Would be effective immediately for all new characters. Current characters must change too, and would get a free redo of skills. Must be between adventures, or current GM must approve if within a game. Explanation: There are lots of crappy skills that no one takes. (Appraise, Craft, some Knowledges, Profession, etc.) This shuffles them off to a new set called Background Skills. The 'good' skills are called Adventuring Skills. There are two new kinds of skills too: Artistry - Kind of like craft, INT-based. Lore - Like the knowledge skills, but in a more focused, specific area of expertise, INT-based. Craft, Perform, and Profession, get more uses too, but that doesn't really effect LPF too much. Adventuring Skills: Still calculated in the same way. Background Skills: Every character gets 2 skill points per level to spend on Background Skills. This let's characters flesh out their backgrounds a bit more without sacrificing their good skills. Everyone gets to have more fluffy good...

Commander Jacobson http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140330070323/livingpf/images/7/73/Jacobson.jpg With a check back over her shoulder, Commander Jacobson of the White Cloaks steps into the Dunn Wright Inn. Turning her small 5'2" frame back towards the main room, her eyes scan the dimly lit nooks and crannies of the eatery. Stepping into a better lit part of the room herself, even a casual observer can see her heavy armaments and armor, including a shield, two swords, and a number of daggers in addition to her White Cloak uniform and insignia. Everything about the way she moves is reminiscent of a coiled snake, ready to strike. The White Cloak Commander's posture is not lost on Grog. From behind the bar, he watchful bartender and sometimes bouncer lifts an eyebrow. "Dat a fookin' lot of blades, girl," he observes. "I plan to do some killing," Jacobson retorts, quickly adding, "but not here. I am just short of time to come here like this." As the big man behind the counter seemly relaxes a bit, ...

My friend, you'd better believe I've thought more than once that a different career path would be worth considering. These changes are a bitter pill to swallow, but that has nothing to do with pay or benefits. It's just changes - changes that I don't like and that I have little say or choice about. I've got lots to learn, and to learn quickly. Sorry to hear of your stress. We share a similar field. The only thing that stays the same is that everything changes. We'll keep chugging along as this bit of the adventure is virtually over and there will be some set up for the next one to follow. Just jump in when you are able.

So it turns out you were right to question, but not for the reason you did... Vakeva can't change the bane on his bow :(. I had just finished rolling a round for a high level Inquisitor in another game who can, and just kept right on going with it. Vakeva's bow is just evil outsider bane. Scotley, please don't count the bane damage vs the gargoyles, and change his enemy selection - he'll shoot one 'till it's dead, rinse and repeat. So noted. Thanks all!

The IC question about how readied actions worked prompted me to do a little research, especially since as a player I've been limited by a GM in just this situation. I debated with him for a few posts but eventually saw his point and agreed. Most (but not all) of the folks I've found chiming in seem to agree as well. Note that I'm not suggesting in any way that we change the ruling in this case, nor am I trying to step on any toes - just fostering a spirited rules discussion. The arguments against using Readied Actions in this manner go like this: Readied actions have to be taken in combat (after initiative). This started with 3.5. On page 26 of the DMG it says, "Don't allow players to take a readied action outside of combat." The rules are in the combat section of the Pathfinder core rulebook, and specifically refer to standard actions and rounds - terms that have no meaning outside of combat. Finally, what you're really looking at is acting before initiative is rolled - the very definiti...

http://imgur.com/VQ0yfgx.png I've got to get in there! Vakeva focuses for a moment, tapping the inner might he's so recently discovered, and slips into the room. So quickly does he move that he's around his foes and in position almost before his allies notice he's on his way! As he slides around the battlefield he fires off a quick shot, followed in rapid succession by four more once he's in position. Only two of the clothyard shafts hit, but they take the newly summoned monster full in the chest and in the joint of it's hip, causing massive damage. Fleet charge to the row just south of G1, all the way back against the western wall. This is a swift action and grants one additional attack. Bane weapon overcomes DR, but just in case using cold iron durable arrows as well. All rolls are posted here. Attack 01 (14) Attack 02 (31) and Crit Confirm (20) Attack 03 (12) Attack 04 (12) Attack 05 (16) and Mythic Surge to add 1d6 (6) to the 16 attack roll, making it a 22. Hopefully, t...

Hey, Scotley! What's in 'Keva's line of fire? If the answer is "nothing," how far does he need to move to get LOF on a target? Let me take a look at the map, if memory serves you are at the door, so pretty good chance you can get line of site on any of the current foes with a 5' move. Give me just a sec to confirm.

http://imgur.com/VQ0yfgx.png 'Keva pushes up from his slouch against the wall as Thorn reappears with the little creature in tow. He listens quietly as the group begins the verbal sparring that is inevitable when meeting another in such a hostile location, his only words a brief introduction: "I'm Vakeva Kiihko, Veridian." He nods as he greets Veridian, then returns to his slouch and guard duty. Vakeva would probably recognize the language as something spoken in the area some years (centuries) before The Wound. He was around when everything went south, right? I believe that leaves only Leif and Fenris?

As far as I have been able to find there's not a specifically detailed way to get around altitude effects - it's one of the few environmental challenges that are effective (seemingly) against high level groups. I guess some combination of endure elements type effects and removing the need to breath would do it. This spell should work and that is what I was thinking about OOC: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/air-bubble

The farther yeti dropped to the snow (prone) and began howling and rolling around. It was strange, but near as the other could tell it was some strange form of laughter from the creature. However, despite the collapse into the snow and its uncontrollable fit, the effects only lasted a brief moment of a few seconds. The battered yeti facing Yosephus and Charity was feeling the pain of being stuck with the rapier and it howled in frustration as it could not land another blow on either of the pesky foes. There are many PC races that are not available to PCs in E'n/LPF. No argument from me - I think this is a good thing (mostly for flavor reasons). However, some of those races open up options and archetypes that are very interesting. Can the Racial Heritage feat be used to gain access to options for races that are not available to PCs in LPF? Completely as a opinion call, I'd say... maybe. The primary determinant for me would be whether the race is known to exist in E'n at all. For example, I have used Ratfolk and Drow as NPC's. You've used a Dhamphir. However, this way of looking at it is difficult to check on the fly. Perhaps a list of races that exist might be useful. I'm feeling less sure as I write this what the most clear approach is outside of just saying no, though.
