Howdy Omeganian amigo! :) And toes as well. And dragon necks. yes on all counts. Got a few ideas brewing for some smaller (Epic) Adventure Bestiary books based on ideas I meant to release 8 years ago with a few new twists. ;) By keeping these books smaller I can hopefully turn them around faster BUT I won't get any hopes up until I have a book fully written. I also still plan to do a 3.5E version AND a 4E version. Also I really want a print edition so, likely a Crowdfund (to cover the art, printing and shipping) so I'd probably only need $500-600. So I'll see what I can have written within the next 3 months and see if this new model is feasible. Four of these Adventure Bestiary's would combine into a defacto new volume of the IH: Epic Bestiary...if I ever get that far.

If they only lay one egg in their lives, how do they replace casualties? An interesting conundrum, I like to think they were created at the beginning of the Existence in the fires of the big bang, and are otherwise created by the breath of Gankyil dragons. With second births being legendary Orichalcum dragons, and twins having some other great significance.

Hi Omeganian amigo! :) And Yotta is about a 1 000 times the size of the observable universe. Well, don't let the small size deceive you... Maybe the Universe is bigger than we know then :p

Howdy Omeganian mate! :) My thought was to have them as above regular Eternals as a dragon is to regular human, and perhaps with a few more age categories than regulars (maybe each dragon class gets an additional category - Wyrm for Epics, then Great Wyrm for Cosmic, then an Archon Drake for Eschatolic, then a Tanin for Mukhlatimic). The scenario I put in the background is basically a guy beating street bullies with a wand powered by a dragon's scale. I don't particularly think the additional age category thing is a good idea. 1. If you can't get the ideas across within five stat-blocks then your design is lacking. 2. Some of these really need to be ridiculous Super-solo stat-blocks taking up a large amount of space. 3. Dragons tend to be fairly similar, so I think its self defeating making simply more stat-blocks. 4. Giving dragons a greater 'spread' of levels also makes them less unique to certain tiers. 5. It doesn't make sense for them to be more powerful than they already are. 6. Time (and t...

The scenario I put in the background is basically a guy beating street bullies with a wand powered by a dragon's scale. I like this idea very much. Particularly the name "Archon Drake". If Muhlatimics are Supernals, then they are as threatening to Eternals as normal dragons are to humans. It seems like the dragons should be at least 5 levels higher to be the appropriate divine rank, if the strongest dragons are ancients. If ancient Epics are level 21-30, then they are at most Demi-Gods. If ancient Cosmics are level 31-40, then they are at most Greater Gods, and so on for the other types. So the dragons are one rank below their divine tier.

The Salvation War on Steroids as a background event. Fitting. I've been reading this, and I thought... How would The Last Question translate into tabletop terms? Holy thread necromancy, Batman! People still read this? (Reminds me- I really need to download these posts and save them locally in case another ENWorld crash happens.) I came up with the Great Red Fleet idea years before I even ran my 2nd Edition college game, actually, so it long predates the Salvation War- but the parallels are pretty obvious, yes. As for the Last Question, I'd suggest that that's essentially what happens in a universe like the Downstreamers (in Stephen Baxter's Manifold books) come from: the only thing left is a giant computer running programs eternally, and everything is information. At that point, I'd suggest the computer that remains essentially "upgrades" itself to Time Lord status and becomes a true Eternal- thus answering the Question as in the story.
