Amazing book that I'm always surprised gets like zero attention. The best hardcover to come out for 5E beyond the core books. Give it a review on Amazon, itís gotten zero love so far.... • 03:56 AM - Saelorn quoted Emirikol_Prime in post Paizo Announces Pathfinder 2nd Edition!
Except Logan pretty much disagrees with that. He's talking about Pathfinder, where damaging mental spells are virtually unheard-of. The only one in the Core Rulebook is level 5 nightmare, which only deals 1d10 (relatively minor) damage. Pathfinder doesn't really go for psychic damage as a type. It's a far cry from 4E or 5E, where characters flat-out have psychic powers that they use for the primary purpose of causing HP damage. Edit: Although, honestly, that's not as big of a deal as the requirement that psychic attacks must cause physical injury in order to inflict HP damage. If a bard casts a spell that makes a goblin manifest fatal wounds, then that's still infinitely preferable to a goblin just dying for no physical reason.

  • 06:21 AM - ad_hoc quoted Emirikol_Prime in post A single +1 armor for a level 10 party
Just ignore it. For many players magic items are a part of DnD. I'm not sure how having a +1 suit of armour is not having magic items be part of D&D. I get that in 3e each character having 20 magic items was the norm, but 3e does not own what it is to be D&D.

We don't even know of Joe is still attached to this anymore. AFAIK he never was. There was the movie projekt and there was Joe who also had come up with a script on his own in paralell to that. But he was never part of the official project, it was basically a fanwork he did.

Oh so full of yourself this morning I see. Yes I find them not dealing with Golarion lazy and the excuse a poor one. I think it would be less "lazy" of you to explain why you think it is lazy, rather than simple restate your previous post. To be clear, I think I see your point. EDIT: Probably should have read the whole thread before I posted. Oops - to late now!

More power abuse. Gotcha. ::thumbs up:: How can this *possibly* end? It was just a little request from a mod not to use profanity, and you've escalated it to this? Why? After 15 years, this is the hill you choose? Bye. :(

then don't insult me, please. *Sigh*. You've been here since 2002. You know the rules. Don't use profanity. Don't argue in-thread with moderators who are telling you to watch your language. Especially don't use moderator red-text when you're breaking *that* rule. Disagreement doesn't give you sudden license to start breaking all the rules or to start cursing at moderators. You can find those rules here. And finally, please do not post in this thread again.

Sutter overstates the "need" for the Gap. I find it incredibly lazy of them. You think that the people who spent months producing a gorgeous several-hundred page full-colour book are "lazy"? Not just lazy, but "incredibly lazy"? Tough audience. God I hate the internet sometimes. It successfully parodies itself so often.

  • 03:14 AM - Robbie A Gray quoted Emirikol_Prime in post Sorcerer's Kraken Bloodline
The Kraken Blood bonus action seems too powerful. Maybe make it once per short/long rest? Sent from my iPhone using EN World That makes sense. I'll change it so takes a short/long rest to recover. EDIT: The change has been made. Thank you so much for the suggestion. :)

Pretty sure the father of the red box will figure out what you're missing. That's stepfather, and Tom Moldvay would like a word with you. ;)
  • 01:21 AM - Derren quoted Emirikol_Prime in post Esper Genesis : 5E Sci-Fi Art Sneak Peak and Gen Con Plans...
Many scifi settings aren't deadly at all. Star Wars/Star Trek/Battlestar/Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers. And many are. Warhammer 40K, Starship Troopers, etc. And the problem I mentioned are also visible in modern games, maybe even more so than in SciFi ones. You can always find some technobabble why melee combat is still a thing, but running through MG fire in a modern/WW2 setting to stab the gunner to death is hard to imagine, yet in most D&D/D20 systems this is exactly what happens as they are geared for close range and melee combat and usually provide a very generous HP buffer that you are not killed before you get into melee range. You can of course increase the damage of guns into the stratosphere like Dragonstar tried but this is hardly a ideal solution.

I really wish they would have taken the opportunity to walk away from the 3.5 ruleset. I dont know. Seems like they are adding in plenty of 4e'isms into the rules but still too early to tell yet how bad it is going to be.

Oh dear it's not just me, sarcastic ass. I can only reply to what you post, not what you meant to post. And what you posted - the way you posted it... well, I may occasionally be an ass, but at least I meant to be.
