Also, I'd like to share an upcoming kickstarter that I find really worth it: The AngryGM Book, which starts on the 19th. While you might love or hate his "Angry Style" writing, the content there is just mindblowing. One of the greatest GMing resources I've ever read... ever! Just a heads up: The AngryGM Book kickstarter is live! Here's the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/theangrygm/the-angry-gm-the-website-the-book @AngusA, if your cyborg ninjas are doing their job right, you should be safe and sound while hiding away in fear (for now...)! So, if you have the time, please cite this kickstarter on your next post! The world is in a dire need for greater GMs! Thanks! =)

I will be out of commission for a bit. Please be patient, as I will be unable to deal with anything for a while. No ETA on my return, but I hope it isn’t too long. I won’t be able to respond to messages or emails for now. If you have anything which needs dealing with, Umbran and Dannyalcatraz are about for forum moderation stuff, darjr for tech stuff, AngusA for publishing stuff, Christopher Helton for articles stuff. For news scoops, please use the ENW news address: news@enworldnews to be sure the columnists will see it! Thanks guys.

Thanks for compiling these all the same. I mainly get my news and releases from ENWorld. Even though I follow a lot of the companies etc on Twitter I often don't hear about things until I read them here. (Posting during my night time would not help ;)). These are very handy :) Cheers and kudos to AngusA

How the heck did I miss this??? AngusA, they are running a second kickstarter for a book of adventures, you may want to include it in your weekly crowdfunding report (which is where I learn about most of the kickstarters I wind up backing). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/galileogames/tales-of-the-warrior-princesses

  • 07:00 PM - Jer quoted AngusA in post Origins Award Winners
The voters were the attendees of Origins. No. I used to think that too, but that's not the case. The members of the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design are the ones who have the vote on the actual Origins Awards. The Academy an honorary organization that is made up of some subset of GAMA members who can apply to get in and gain membership through some process that isn't publicly known (so very much like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the way they handle the Oscars). The voting that is done at Origins by attendees is for the Fan Favorite award in each category, not the actual winners. And to answer my own question above, the Academy has now posted the 2018 fan favorite winners on their website. Interestingly enough this year - the Fan Favorites in almost every category track exactly with the determination of the Academy members. There are maybe two that differ (maybe one?) - the award for Best Roleplaying Game went to Adventures in Middle Earth,...

Certainly hitting stores in the UK this week and I saw a couple of friends talking about getting a copy in a US store over the weekend, so yes. Drop the place you pre-ordered from a line and chase it up! Ack... I ordered it directly from Goodman. Oh well, guess I'll just wait. I think it's a little deceptive on their part though to call it a pre-order. It kind of comes with the expectation that it will be shipped out to me and others who pre-ordered at the same time, or even ahead of the ship to store date. Minor gripe I guess if it is worth waiting for.

  • 10:28 PM - johndesmarais quoted AngusA in post Flash, I love you, but we only have fourteen hours to save the Earth!
Fantasy Games Unlimited published Flash Gordon & the Warriors of Mongo back in 1977. But it wasn't supported with supplements, and was also 40 years ago, so I'm not surprised it's not very well remembered. Flash Gordon, as an IP, is still active property and owned by King Features Syndicate. It's one of the reasons we have the Funko Pop range of Flash Gordon figures. They have been actively licensing the property, not only in the States but globally, over the last few years. They also handle Garfield, Popeye, Archie and a host of other properties that were made famous through newspaper comic strips. That Fantasy Games Unlimited game was weird. There was like, no game there (but it did make a for a pretty cool little Mongo sourcebook).

Flash Gordon is a setting and not a complete game, so isn't valid according to the guidelines. I'm looking forward to that too :) Rifts for Savage Worlds made the list a few years ago. Isn't it just a setting for Savage Worlds, too? I'll also nominate the Sentinels Comics RPG.

That's really odd. Esdevium (the largest UK supplier) is listing it as new this week... was the original hardcover or could this be a need Hardcover edition? Being a year old does explain why it didn't appear on a number of the retailers 'new releases' lists I get through though. Maybe it's new to UK stores? That itself seems odd since Pelgrane is a UK company (right?). I backed the Kickstarter in 2014 and received that book and some others in 2015, and no later than early 2016 those same books appeared on my FLGS' shelves. I ran it for a few months well over a year ago and some of my players picked up the books. I bet Dracula has something to do with this - that's what the Pelgrane folks might say.

  • 06:58 PM - Random Bystander quoted AngusA in post Ken Spencer and Why Not Games Acquire Rocket Age
The system is the VORTEX system that Dave Chapman created for the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space RPG. It was also featured in the Primeval RPG that Cubicle 7 also published back in 2011/12. It's a very flexible system that could be used for a number of genres. Thank you. Edit: The Rocket Age Corebook is back up for sale, more titles in the series are on the way: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/215744/Rocket-Age Is Print On Demand in the plans, or is it too early to ask?

  • 07:16 PM - Doctor Futurity quoted AngusA in post Cubicle 7 bids farewell to Qin, Rocket Age, Yggdrasill and more…
The problem is that books that have a finite number of titles will be considered 'dead lines' by many distributors and retailers as no new material is coming out to support them. Thus they are less likely to restock the line unless it is a great seller (and after ten years of availability you might not be seeing very many sales). Whenever a new book is released for a line the company will generally see a 'bump' in orders from distributors/retailers of the back catalog of products in that line - as they have confidence the line is alive and so restock the older books to go alongside the new release. Qin hasn't had a new book for years and no further books are planned (as far as I'm aware). Doing a print run for a hardcover book with colour templates (if not entirely full colour) is expensive and you really need a minimum quantity to make it economically practical. If you could downgrade the books to black and white then it becomes a lot more viable - and of course with the softcovers you c...

Starjammer didn't appear on any of the retailer or distributor release lists I received. I only list products that have been released physically into stores. I believe Starjammer is just available as a PDF currently. Hello there! Troy from d20pfsrd.com Publications here! We are working on getting that fixed and hope to have a print copy available soon! I will reply with more details as soon as I am able! Take care, and good gaming! Troy Daniels Project Manager d20pfsrd.com Publications

You may have allowed this, but given the other infringements the campaign has I doubt it. This Kickstarter campaign is using your map.... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/936864518/human-prey-20-level-pathfinder-and-dandd-5e-advent If you have not granted permission it may be worth raising a complaint with Kickstarter. Thanks for the catch, no this publisher did not receive permission and I've reported it to Kickstarter. Thank you.

  • 03:01 PM - Alzrius quoted AngusA in post Your Most Anticipated RPG Of 2017?
The My Little Pony RPG is called Tales of Esquestria and is being developed and published by River Horse. https://www.facebook.com/TailsofequestriaMLPRPG/ The game's Facebook page isn't the best source of information for it, given how infrequently it's updated. I'd recommend the pair of articles that were published on ICv2.
