The PCs need a reason to walk around barefooted and there must be a lot of shards on the ground.

I am working on my Mass Effect rules adaption of WOIN. The game has collection of very distinct assault rifles and submachine guns (for example different sizes of clips). The ammo tracking should create a distinct feeling for every weapon. Edit: It also helps to determine which weapons gain the auto trait, if you know that a weapon must have a clip with at least 30 bullets. Weapons with...

Its a general question and the Lawgiver was just an example that tracking ammo is a thing in the game. In case I want track ammo, but using automatic weapons cause a little ruleswise headache. On the one hand, you may shoot areas, like throwing a grenade in an area (which you have to count), but on the other hand, clips of automatic weapons tend to be bigger like 20-50 bullets. Crazy...

Using a lawgiver seems to be the opposite.

Hi there, does it cost more than one bullet (rules-wise) when you use the auto trait for a cone attack or the burst trait for a burst area attack?

    1. I would say yes, because its still a combat encounter. 2. As long the exploit doesn't have a sentence like "this exploit can't be used with other exploits which also grant a bonus on Initative" (some exploits which grant a bonus on a defense have this sentence in it, to avoid crazy high defenses), the bonuses of both exploits are stacking.

Encounters are not just combat but also obstacles which PCs overcome by usings non-combat skills. Additionally reaching a milestone each session also rewards the players with medium ecounter XP. A grad 5 PC could earn 20 XP in a session of three medium encounters and one milestone. You could also add a hard encounter sometimes, which rewards the double amount of XP.

For normal cops it would work, but Judges tend to be more trigger-happy to solve this: https://youtu.be/B4CrE6IwlLg?t=208 Maybe something like two rival groups (civilians) are about to start a mass brawl and the Judges try to cool down the situation. I diged out the Resolve rules from the EONS magazines. Could these rules help for this scene? Edit: How could I measure when the mood of the...

They are Judges. These scenes are just snippets of the daily work as cops.

Hi there, at friday I will host an One Shot of Judge Dredd. The players are system- or TTRPG-newbies, so I decided to simplify the adventure so that the players can concentrate more on the rules than the story. I am planning three scenes which fit into the trope "Beat Cop Work". The first scene is a supermarket occupied by a street gang (its a modified version of the Shadowrun 4E module "Food...

Maybe there was a haystack at the roadside. What do you think of 3d6 damage per 10 speed? A successful acrobatics check (DC current speed) could reduce it to 2d6 damage per 10 speed.

Hi there, how would you calculate the (falling) damage if a character falls off a moving train or got kicked out of a moving car?

  • 12:51 PM - Morrus quoted kingpin000 in post WOIN Supplements - Is art required?
Even the offical material has mostly royalty free or stock pile images. It really doesn’t. We spend a *lot* on art. There may be a few pieces dotted around, but most of it is original commissioned art.

You should offer the PDFs on Bundle of Holding. They were offered as a bundle back in March, I believe. As I understand, it did quite well.

  • 11:20 AM - Morrus quoted kingpin000 in post [NEW/NOW] Looking for some insight and tips to create careers for a Mass Effect campaign
RPG terms are all the same no matter what game you play. I ve got some questions for you. 1. How would you handle the ability to create a minion like a combat drone? How could it upgraded over the time (ruleswise)? 2. What do you think about careers which need certain exploits or a high REP score as prerequisites to gain it? (like a special forces team) 1. I'd base it on the rules for familiars or maybe animal companions in O.L.D., I think. 2. They're totally cromulent. For example, in Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD, the Senior Judge career has a prerequisite of REP 10+.
