Seeing that Taylar has begun to examine the pouches, Maka takes the indigenous idols and pockets them. He does not try to hide this action, nor does he attempt to explain it. ~These idols probably belong to murdered people, whose ideology doesn't line up with this new usurper's worldview. They were probably meant to be proof of someone's blasphemy against the so-called sun god. I will deprive...

Merin and Tor readily agree to taking the Windrunners to Bergbaulager. After the discussion, Merin and Tor both make preparations for the journey. Early the next morning, they take their armor to Swift Raven and Fallen Leaf, and inquire as to how long repairs will take. If the repairs can be made in one day's time, they will wait, departing on the following morning. If it will take longer, then...

Seeing that the remaining spy is adequately engaged by Adi and Raven Elk, Maka rushes forward toward the main encampment, manipulating Way to darken his skin, and using the trees as cover, trying to get within short bow range. When he can, he will fire at one of the closest soldiers he can find. Remaining rolls from above: 70, 50, 70, 76

About Tellerian Hawke
Introduction:
Die Hard 3.0 / 3.5 Player
About Me:
I started playing D&D during the Thanksgiving holidays of 1979, using other people's books. My parents bought me the AD&D Player's Handbook in Christmas of 1980. Then, I got my first D&D Basic Set (the Tom Moldvay red cover, with Erol Otus artwork) in August of 1981. Ah, humble beginnings, and fond memories. My first DM was my dad, and bless his heart, he had no clue about where to start. Our first adventures were awkward, to say the least.

If you are curious as to the whole story about my D&D origins, I wrote a memoir about it on my blog:
https://overthetopepicroleplaying.wordpress.com/2015/08/23/memoirs-part-one-how-i-started-playing-dungeons-dragons/

1979 was 5th grade for me. By the time I was in 8th grade, I was playing 1st Ed AD&D, which I stuck with all through high school. (I graduated in 1987.)

In the early 90's I switched to Second Edition, and later to 2nd Ed Skills & Powers, and then I even became a play-tester for 3rd Edition, which was an experience that I must say really endeared me to that particular edition of the game.

I have also written a skeletal framework for my own RPG, although it has never gotten to the playtest stage. I might revisit it one day soon, but in the meantime, I have a lot of other irons in the creative fire. I have an unfinished novel to think about, as well as a non-fiction book I'm writing that covers my family's genealogical record.

I'm a librarian by profession; I hold a master's degree in English, and a master's degree in Library Science, which, in librarian-speak, makes me a subject specialist. I'm what's known as a "Humanities Librarian." As such, I also have a list of ideas for academic papers that I plan to write, and since these are peer-reviewed items that concern the betterment of my career, they form one of the principal reasons why my novel and game system are still languishing on the shelf.

My longest running campaign ("The Fearless Five") was from 1999 - 2005, and it ended up going into epic levels. I pretty much quit running it when I got married, because at that point, my life became super-busy because of my transition from bachelor-with-lots-of-free-time, to husband / head of household / homeowner, and shortly thereafter, father-of-two. That's the main reason I never played 3.5; I had purchased all of the core 3.5 books, and some of the supplements, intending to eventually "switch over"; but a whirlwind romance, and subsequent marriage, cut those plans short. Thus, when I quit playing in 2005, despite having the 3.5 books, all of my knowledge and expertise was still grounded in the 3.0 material.

In July of 2014, at a family reunion, two of my cousins (who had been part of the Fearless Five campaign) expressed a desire to play again, albeit via the internet, using Play-By-Post. So, I made a private, Google Site webpage, scanned the bulk of my old notes, house rules, maps, and character sheets into PDF format, and put it all on the web. I am still running the Fearless Five PbP on that site, although I have plans to move it here, to ENWorld, in the very near future. Since the PbP began, I have slowly been adapting my campaign to the 3.5 rules set, although I must say, I don't agree with some of the changes they've made. So I guess you could say that I am running a 3.0 / 3.5 hybrid. (3.25?)

I came to this website because I wanted to refresh my knowledge, and have someplace to discuss my hobby with others. I was on ENWorld way back when, during the Eric Noah era, and during the first years of Morrus' stewardship also. I used to frequent the site, because I loved keeping up with Blackdirge's custom monsters. At any rate, I enjoyed the site back then, and it stayed with me in my memory, so I found it again, and here I am.

The last two things that I can think to tell you about me, with regard to this mutual hobby of ours, is that I am now, and always will be, a die-hard Greyhawker, and that I like to use Lego minifigs as miniatures, because there's no painting involved, and the figures can be readily modified. If you'd like to see what that looks like, click on the link below.

If possible, Tor will charge the Blighter who made the sonic attack; he will augment his charge with Way, using Thump (or whatever the higher level version of thump is) to make his shield bash more effective. As before, if he can knock his opponent down, he will follow up with a quick sword stab to the abdomen. As Tor is charging toward the original Da'Roneh formation, his intended target succumbs to blindness, but closer is another one of the Headhunters who seems just a deserving of a shield bash. After brief discussion, posting for @Tellerian Hawke who is busy with RL. When Taylar thumps the water it creates a concussive wave that travels out from his hands toward the muddy patch of water, as the patch continues to drift downstream. Also, it produces a very interesting sound. So interesting that Taylar thumps a second time as Vittero joins him to perform the same task for himself. Sadly, no fish or reptiles surface after the intrusion. After observing the results of Taylar's and Vittero's acts upon the water, Maka nods his head, confirming his suspicion. He conveys to the crew that the muddied patch of water is due to some earlier activity upstream. It could be a herd of game animals or people. Also, he adds that he thinks the crew should move on and finish their task at hand and rid themselves of the two horses before pursuing any further investigation. He would hate for the crew to lose the horses after the effort made to retrieve the stolen one.

With the aid of a crew from the Maldrog, it would take a crew from Southroad Fair a good year to clear the way and provide a better traverse. Then, regular maintenance will be necessary to keep the natural growth at bay. This is definitely something suited to those of the mundane labor rather than prospectors and explorers. The road will come, but the war will come, first. Back at Southroad Fair when the Seekers are alone again with their close allies Sannit says, "Now that we know the town will be well guarded, we can talk about how to stop that army before it even gets to Southroad Fair. We don't have to...

The Spy does not, yet, lose consciousness from the second drain on her life. Nodding to Raven Elk, Adi turns on the balls of his feet to run toward the line of the enemies' camp to rejoin Maka against the remaining foes. Shaffemaron said, "Come Seeding Season, we will... march an army to Southroad Fair and kill everyone not willing to be subjugated." Merin and Tor readily agree to taking the Windrunners to Bergbaulager. After the discussion, Merin and Tor both make preparations for the journey. Early the next morning, they take their armor to Swift Raven and Fallen Leaf, and inquire as to how long repairs will take. If the repairs can be made in one day's time, they will wait, departing on the following morning. If it will take longer, then they leave that same morning, with their armor as-is. San-Bolo will also have their armor repaired and they will ride to Bergbaulager. Along the journey they will assess the trade route and see where improvements can be made. Swift Raven and Fallen Leaf look over the damaged items of leatherwork to determine the cost and estimated time of repairs. The two can perfectly mend all items in one day for a total cost of 4380 clams, which the Seekers can readily afford. The trip to Be...

After the meal, Sannit will tell the story of the Asylim trip to the Boarshead crowd... Later, when the elders are meeting to discuss the plan to resist Asylim, Sannit says, "We should send messengers to Bergbaulager and Boga City..." Sheldon nods at Sannit's comment. He runs his left hand through his freshly cut hair. "I agree. We definitely should see where we stand with our allies. Merin and Tor should lead the expedition to Bergbaulager since Tor has developed the best report with the Maldrog. I think I should lead the expedition to Boga City since I was born there and am fluent in Centrin. I see no reason why we cannot spplit up and go both directions at once. We should be able to make the trips quickly riding our Windrunners." Vadin has his drink at the tavern... He pauses, pulls back his hair, and says "I wonder if we can ambush them?" If anyone asks them about the current trouble with Asylim they will say that it is true, but they will not tell any more until they meet with the town elders. He uses his Search skill to examine it closely, to discover seams, chisel marks, flaws, cracks, etc. He uses his Knowledge Arcana skill to try and remember if he's ever read about such an object before, and what its purpose might be; lastly, recalling the manner in which his Detect Magic spell faded, he uses his Spellcraft skill to determine whether the failure was caused by his own error, or possibly by the armor he was wearing, or whether the item itself somehow resisted the spell. In front of Nimbar, Tellerian notices a tall youth, leading a camel, apparently traveling alone, which is somewhat strange, considering the keep's proximity to tribes of hostile humanoids. The thought occurs to him that perhaps the boy is an adventurer, like he and Nimbar. Tellerian whispers to Nimbar, "I wonder what set of circumstances led to this boy traveling alone?" Nimbar frowns at Tellerian's rudeness, "Who taught you how to whisper? Mind your own business, I'm sure he's fine." "But he's not even armed..." Tellerian notes. Nimbar rolls his eyes, wondering when the boy will turn around and tell his loudmouth friend to shut his trap. The young man could not fail to hear the words of the two behind him. The fact that the tops of his ears had long ago been cropped had no effect on his hearing. It did, however, give further credence to the enigma of his existence, could his features have been seen under the desert garment.
