Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, NASCAR... The "fanboys", that I know, of these sports are just as bad (and in many cases, even worse) at "adulting" than most of the gamers I know. I won't even bring up the party boys that go out & drink 2, 3, 4 + nights a week... I was going to comment something along those lines....Thank you.

Here's hoping that there will be a spell-less Ranger in this book, and a spell-less Bard, too... ...I want less magic in my game, not more! It's way easier to house-rule a class (or whatever) to add magic to it, than it is to deconstruct and remove its integral "magicness". A spell-less ranger is a fighter with Archery (or twin weapons) and the Outlander background. A spell-less bard is a rogue with a guitar. Or what exactly do you think is in bards and rangers that isn't magical.

Adventure in Middle-Earth 5e from Cubicle 7 has just that for you: spell-less bard, spell-less ranger, spell-less healer. You may want to look it up.

Would require a whole new class, which is not in the cards for Xanathar's.

"Free RPG Day": At my local store you got something "free" if you spent $25 or more... ...There's a business that understands the value of Marketing, Promotion, Goodwill, & Customer Loyalty! :-S How can they get that so wrong? I mean it's Free RPG Day. It's literally stated in the name of the day. It's not spend $25 And Get A Free RPG Day.

"Free RPG Day": At my local store you got something "free" if you spent $25 or more... ...There's a business that understands the value of Marketing, Promotion, Goodwill, & Customer Loyalty! :-S That's stupid. It goes against the spirit of the day and it's probably ineffective. I have a much higher opinion of the stores that participated, and charging for free content would be a good way to burn all that goodwill. I had stopped going to one local store because their RPG selection had gotten pretty sparse. Free RPG Day gave me an excuse to check it out, and I was happy I did since they had more RPG books again (thank you 5e). I wasn't able to go right away in the morning, so I ended up going to two local stores to get Free RPG stuff. I still spent $35 at one (Broodmother Sky Fortress and a Batman comic) and $10 at another (a 5e Goodman Games module).

Crazy, right? As a side note: the owner was attending Origins.
