    WEContact I prefer to have everyone at the same level, so if you are levelling up, just stop at level 9 so that you are on par with everyone else, rather than a step ahead. Thanks. Also, as L4W is dead (we all agree it is dead apart from us, right?), I will be running the adventure without any real concern for the norms, rules or conventions of L4W. That doesn't mean that I will be doing anything that you (the players) might consider unfair or the likes. I'll just handle things as I would if you were playing at my table (which is pretty much what we have been doing anyway). I only say that in response to your comment about DM points. Not necessary. Just level up to the indicated level and don't worry about the book keeping. J By the looks: @Son of Meepo 's Wat is levelled, just needs to add recently awarded boon @Neil1889 's Rain is levelled, just needs boon @Mewness ' Kenku is at level 7; bump to level 9 with same XP as Sir Flib would have ... not sure what you want to do with boon as it ...

    Nemesis Destiny Yes, you get a free expertise feat at 5th level. Yes, taking one of those backgrounds would be fine. Mewness Yes you could take your kenku character Not to keen to mess with damage output to make up for a lack of a 5th player. Would rather summon someone like WEContact and ask if they would be interested in continuing with us. ND, your wife could play as a 6th player and fase in and out as she has time/inclination to join in. I'll be honest I am still debating whether or not I have the energy for another adventure as DM. I get the impression that Son of Meepo may also be less motivated to play anymore if posting is any indication, I could be wrong. I do have an adventure in mind ... but I do know I have a busy and stressful 6 months ahead of me so I am not 100% certain that I would be able to do a decent job of it. I haven't thrown in the towel just yet, but I wanted to make it know that it is not a ceratin thing either just yet. Also, I do not intend to make any further reply to the adventure thread until everyone has made their wish. SO if you are waiting for me ... I am waiting for you :)

With blinding speed and strength the unsuspecting thug is yanked through the grate and tumbles to the bottom of the sewer landing on his shoulder. The thud echos throughout the sewer. He lays motionless on ground at the partys' feet. He still breaths but is clearly unconscious. The other thug is not within reach, but clearly clearly surprised. @WEContact Roll an athletics check or acrobatics check to determine what happens next. check less than 15: thugs runs out the door to warn others check 15 to 20: You leap to a spot in the room between the thug and the door check 20 or highter: You leap and subdue the other thug Roll play your actions for dramatic effect :)

You see three thugs, one quiet larger than the other two make their way towards you with weapons drawn. The crowd of shoppers move away quickly. The one you are holding looks at you with a smirk. . Uh oh laddy...the boss is com'n for ya...ya don't want to mess with the boss. Just as you turn to move towards Leather you notice three thugs moving towards him. The door opens easily at your touch. It opens to a 20' touch-lit hallway to a set of stairs going down. You hear voices but can't make out what they are saying. Suddenly you hear you two dancers hooting frantically. It is clear to you that they sense trouble not too far away. You can't see what is going on though from where you are. Brother Navio moves close to the sorcerer and reaches for something in his top pocket of his cloak. This doesn't look good Torqua. Be carefull. @Goldhammer @WEContact Both of you have your characters performing movements according to your last posts. Please move your icons up to 8 squares form your previous spot. I'll then make a movement with the three thugs, then Leather and everyone else can interact as see fit Athletics DC 12 to climb over lizards

One correction: Haaku is not by Leather. He is currently by Fhangrim inspecting a secret door. (See Map). Everyone: Please check out the map below. There iw currently no encounter taking place, but something may take place soon based on the character interactions with the npcs. Please add your stats on the character stats portion of the map map Note: You are in investigation mode. *Leather is working on a thug. *Both Fhangrim and Haaku are inspecting a secret door which Fhangrim successfully disarmed the trap. *Torqua has befriended a young thief.

    Brother Navio comes back to the location where everyone was before he left to get some supplies. Upon his return he sees that no one is there. After scanning the area he notices the sorcerer barreling through the crowd in pursuit of something or someone. Not able to see the other he heads in the direction of Torqua, easily making his way throught the people scattered about on the ground as a result of being pushed out of the way. You finally catch up to the boy, now with his back against a wall with eyes showing that he's is terrified. Please miss...don't hurt me...I don't steal by choice...please don't hurt me With the crowd attention drawn to the fat woman chancing after the boy Leather makes his move against the larger of the two thugs. @jbear Roll your attack Meanwhile, Fhangrin, with his two owlbears dancers, makes his way to Haaku, who is currently studying the wall in front of him. @WEContact @Son of Meepo: Go ahead and make your skill checks as describe here You notice that there is a slight indentation along the wall in the form of a rectangle three feet wide and 5 feet tall. In the middle of the hidden door is a pressure plate. However, you suspect that the plate maybe trapped. There is a small hole right below the plate. Perhaps someone with the ability to disarm a trap could be of assistance here You have the knowledge to disarm the trap I realize that I haven't given any rules for combat. When it comes I plan on using the combat as shown in the adventure that MadAzolin is currently running here (scan through the adventure thread and look at the combat map to get the idea).

    I think the confusing part is how he's attacking twice in the same round. Ah...went back and looked at my post. When I make an enemy post I copy and paste from the last enemy entry. The first part of G4's attack was a part I forgot to cut before making the new attack. I went back and deleted the post. XU was never attack this round. Thanks for point that out and sorry for the confusion. Also, with Navio's atack the fog disappears from his immediate area, thus Leather doesn't take 5 necrotic damage at the beginning of his turn. Map has been updated

If I don't level, can I choose like an art object that's worth the same as an N+1 magic item? I plan on giving your xp totals after one more encounter. You have some xp coming from a skill challenge and for the battle. Let's assume that the xp is enough for you to assume that you could lvl up

    HERE'S A LINK TO THE MAP SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE LAST PAGE TO FIND IT aggghh As I made my last post I had thought the same thing as I had to go back to search. Usually I put the map at the end of the enemy action post (that's what i've done in the past with the adventures I've dm'd). However, this time around most of the number crunching and displays are on the map itself. This is the first time I've done it this way. I promise you that in future enemy posts the map will be there. :)

    Wait so are you not counting Leather's initial 11 damage at all? He knew that power did damage when he chose to use it, even if it was outside of combat.     Or will we be getting the expected gold per level at the end of the adventure when Vermitrax gives us our cut of the treasure from the lich's mausoleum? This, you will only loose additional gold or magic items. That said there's one other thing I don't understand: How much is (time gold+reward gold)? When you say items, do you mean magic items? Can we choose which magic items we grab? I assume they can't be over our level+4? Yes you can choose from any magic item on your wishlist. Do you mean each of us need to make six separate skill rolls each? This 4) So each of us is basically engaging in a Level 7 complexity 2 challenge which would be worth 600 xp each Aha 5) My character has training in one of those main skills giving him +7 endurance; No other skills make sense in helping out this bonus. You can use whatever skill to aid yourself or the party, just be creative and you can get a free +2 bonus, there is no penalty for a failed aid roll. I forgot to add this to the skill challenge ...

    Should the rest of us roll initiative? Yes, roll initiative, including Leather. Bad guy initiative (at -3 due to Leather's surprise attack) = 5 If you beat a 5 you can go. Please include your stats in the place provided on the map spreadsheet. I'll update the monster stats today. Leather's attack hit the thug but missed Mr. Sams Leather whirls into action with lightning speed, scoring a major hit on one of the thugs qnd narrowly missing the face of Mr. Sams. What?!...KILL HIM! I'm going after the cleric. assume all thugs are now in attack mode after hearing Mr. Sams Also, also assume all first round attacks (including bad guys) have DT due to the frantic crowd trying to run away from the conflict.

    Oh, definitely interested- just not sure if I'll be free in time! Well, don't worry ! It will take some time for me to make the adventure and I don't expect I have time to run it before sometime in sep., since I am going on vacation soon. Still submitting a rough draft of the adventure this week and hopefully get some feedback, and then do some serious recruitment :-D ! only four huh? Oh we'll, I won't hurry my next character into the tavern. Not like I have time to put the time onto the character sheet right now anyway This is going to be my first adventure as a gm here on l4W, so I didn't want to make too difficult to run :-) ! Maybe I will take a fifth.

    Been very busy, the map issue made me put it off some, and now invisible castle doesn't seem to be working. I'll post when I can. True, thanks to bring that to my attention: I'll handle the rolls, just state your modifiers and intended actions (Example: Voda Vosa attacks with his club (+9 vs AC for 1d65 cold dmg, if hit target is slowed UENT) ). I don't mind people not posting, just want heads up when possible.
